Oakfield Park

Lovely day out. The gardens are beautiful and meticulously maintained. Really enjoyed the train ride, where you get a tour around the estate. The restaurant, "Buffers" has an extensive menu to suit all tastes and the service was excellent from the friendly staff. Ample parking. Highly recommend for an enjoyable day out for all ages.

beautiful park, many statues, many photo zones. There are toilets. The park has a cafe, parking, playground, children's golf. There is a train that goes around the park.

Best family park and train ride worth for a full day family trip. There will be queues for train ride after that you can walk throughout the park. Coffee shop and toilets available..

Beautiful place to visit. So well maintained and there are an abundance of walks and trails to keep the kids entertained! The train ride is a lovely way to see the estate! Plenty of parking and a nice spot to get something to eat. All in all, a lovely place to spend the day!

We had the best afternoon here with our 2 small dogs. Miles of gorgeous walks around the estate, with lots of interesting things to see. We had a lovely lunch at the restaurant, where the service was great. And we went on the wee train and the dogs were allowed on too! Oakfield Park is a fabulous spot. Highly recommended.

Where is the option for 6 stars. From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. The weather was fantastic for a start, always ahead at that point The kiosk operator couldn't be more helpful and polite. There is so much to see you need at least 4 hours to properly appreciate it. Plenty for the kids to get excited about and very well laid out so you can follow the walking trail and not feel like you are missing anything. We got the train and the kids were about to explode with excitement. We stopped for a while at the restaurant and the food was fantastic and we are hard to please and my wife has quite a few dietary demands. There is a full extra menu for gluten and dairy allergies... Perfect. The staff again were so helpful and friendly. Unfortunately we ran out off time and had to leave but we have our Christmas Santa Express booked so December can't come fast enough for the kids. I think we will be back before then...

Beautiful gardens, food in the restaurant was lovely, staff were all very friendly and the train ride around the grounds was brilliant. I would absolutely go again to walk more of the trails.

Oakfield Park…what an amazing place, and a beautiful hidden gem in Ireland. I have been here 5 times now over the last few years with my now 4 year old and wife, mostly to events like Christmas, Teddy Bear Picnic etc. The entire setup is creative and fun, the grounds/facilities are immaculate, theres no other word to describe it. The staff are amazing, who clearly love what they do. The Food/Restaurant is fabulous, the walks are delightful with so much to see, and then the 2.5 mile miniature train which operates on occasions is just so so good … especially Christmas at night, which is in one word… Magical! This is no ordinary place… definitely not, its got so much heart to it and creates so many lasting memories. Every Adult and child deserves this experience. Long may it last!
