Where to Stay in Dublin When You Visit in 2025

"This boutique four-star has an arty, quirky design with colorful art and wallpaper and rooms crafted by Irish artisans featuring custom furnishings; bathrooms have rainfall showers and limestone flooring, and in-room amenities include flatscreen TVs, desks, minibars, coffee/tea makers — don't miss the excellent on-site cocktail bar." - Matthew Kepnes

Don't waste your time and money. Absolutely trash. Very old every thing. Very poorly maintained and not clean. I had to ask for a small little things like tissue paper. One small piece of soap, shower gel and 1 towel for 4 people. Pronounce clean at all. The only thing that was good the room was spacious.

Honestly not as bad as the reviews say, do people not research the area they’re staying in before they book? The room we had was clean, the air conditioner didn’t work but if you keep your balcony door cracked before you fall asleep it stays a comfortable temperature. No issues with hot water like the other reviews say. It does smell faintly of cigarettes but this is not the Hilton, we are from Reno so every hotel we have smells far worse of cigarettes so it did not bother us at all. The “blood stain” on the ground like another review says, is clearly not a blood stain, blood stains are not hot pink. It looks like a child spilled juice or a red drink was spilled and it stained. There’s a security guard who watches the gates at night for parking. We have a new car and it wasn’t bothered at all. We stayed for the entire weekend (fri - sun) Front desk ladies were nice on check in and check out. If you’re just looking for somewhere to sleep and shower honestly can’t complain. They have really nice pillows in the rooms. The beds are a little stiff but I’ve paid $120 a night at a motel 6 for a worse bed.

WORST HOTEL EVER! Do not come here. It is a dilapidated, smoked up and urine-smelling establishment. Maybe at one point (like the 60s) was a good hotel but now it reminds me of worse than a Juvenile Correction facility! The photos do not match the reality! I cancelled my reservation within 30 seconds of walking there. The area is not safe either, they had two patrol cars guarding construction workers at 11pm. Imagine the level of crime that happens there!

I've stayed at Airport Executive several times now, the rooms are huge, well kept and the views great - especially at night. The parking helps to allow you to be stress free of leaving your car parked in Oakland. A nice place to stay...

Terribly run down old hotel completely lacking in amenities other than a television. Plan to bring your own kleenex, some backup toilet paper, a light bulb or two, and your own coffee maker for in-room coffee. And don't forget coffee cups and a drinking glass or two because there are none in the room. There were no coat hangers, and although there was an iron, there was no ironing board. There was an empty Kleenex box holder on a shelf in the closet. There was only one bath towel for the two of us and no washcloth at all. The lobby is furnished with a few chairs with torn Upholstery and the elevators are filthy. The only positive about this place is that the occupancy is very low so there is no noise coming from adjacent rooms.

Close OAK and public transportation . Room was clean and simple. No air but the Bay breeze will cool your room. A very basic room. This location would get a better rating if the carpets and wall decor was updated.

Catfish hotel. Not like the listing online. Extremely dirty and run down. Booked a room to visit Oakland after moving away. I ignored all the bad reviews figuring it was a bunch of tourists who were trying to stay near the airport on the cheap. I wish I hadn’t ignored them! My room was broken into and my belonging looked through. The whole hotel looks and feels like it’s a condemned building waiting to be demolished.

Review: Oakland Airport Executive Hotel This hotel was a major letdown from the moment I arrived. The air conditioning in my room didn’t work, which made the stay uncomfortable and frustrating. Turndown service was practically nonexistent—you had to go all the way to the front desk just to ask for towels. The carpet throughout the room was in terrible condition, stained and worn, and the elevator was out of order, forcing guests to use the stairs regardless of which floor they were on. The lobby was dirty and unwelcoming, and the only ice machine in the entire building was located on the third floor, while my room was on the fifth. That meant multiple trips up and down just to get something as basic as ice. What’s worse is the blatant false advertising. The hotel’s website lists amenities like a restaurant, bar, and clean swimming pool, none of which were available or operational. It’s misleading and unfair to guests who book expecting even a minimal level of service. They say you get what you pay for, but in this case, even the low price didn’t justify the poor experience. The hotel should remove the photos and simply be honest: they don’t provide any of the services they claim to offer. What you get is a cheap rate and a long list of disappointments.
