The best I can report is that the casino, rooms and restaurants are clean. I like the food at Al's Diner, which is the only restaurant we can afford to eat in. Security is good, and we feel safe there. But the slots are tight. Free play is chintzy compared to the money regulars are gambling. Lousy free play on points. Cheap food credits. Dining rewards used to be better. There doesn't seem to be much appreciation for regulars to keep them coming.

I enjoyed this casino. They have all the newest games and plenty of classic games too. Very clean and welcoming. Staff was friendly. Drink prices were reasonable. Keep in mind it's mostly non smoking and there is only 1 area that is smoking. There is a food court near the entrance with standard options. Also many options nearby as well.

Be ware of dealers and chips here. Don't walk away from a table with your chips this is not like Vegas. I had to call out a dealer for giving my wins to another person. Then my wife walked away with chips that couldn't be played at other tables. They tried to tell her $5 chips were now $1. Shady operations here

We just came in to play slot machines. We blew through our budget way to quickly. They didn't let us win enough to enjoy it. We were there like an hour, went through $300, spent most of that time walking around. Not fun at all. I like it when you can sit and play a machine for a while on like $20.

Do not gamble here! They will blatantly take your money forcing you to go the legal route even when they know you they are wrong. They like to flex and hope you don't have the knowledge or resources to challenge them. This is my own opinion based on my own research and review of posts, articles, and videos.

Wow, I had 2 rooms reserved for 3 nights. Family vacay. I’ve been to Oaklawn many times. It has always been so fun. I thought would be good place for kids and me to meet and have our once a year vacay. I have service dog. I’ve had her for 10 years since my divorce. I went to check in both rooms and was shamed by 3 people at the front desk. I’m sorry I didn’t get their names or ask for the manager. They said they would allow my dog after a lecture of how we couldn’t stay… and then a front desk employee came and explained how her service dog calls for help if she needs because she has epilepsy. I started backing up feeling 3 against one and said… never mind. I will go and get another hotel. It was disturbing. I am a realtor and I know it’s against the law to ask any questions. She asked me what my service need was and why? What? I left and said do not charge my card and one of the ladies said we won’t. They were rude and confrontational over my service dog that is 10 lb. Maltipoo. Thankfully, the hotel across the street was welcoming for me and our money!

A Must-Go if visiting Hot Springs AR! Our desk agent, Eddie was fantastic! Helped us passes for my son & family to use the pool during our stay. Exceptional staff, including Addison from housekeeping, who went above and beyond exceeding our expectations. Nice size saltwater pool with cabanas, poolside bar & outdoor shower, 2nd floor Casino is a little too convenient, if you know what I mean. Still... a great time! Everyone is so very friendly, well dressed, and professional! Quick 5 minute drive to downtown. Next time in Hot Springs, we're definitely booking again!

The casino it's self is way to tight. Free games are far and few, then they don't really pay anything. This has to be the worst casino iv been to. I would recommend staying far away, unless you love giving them money.

Yelp
Traveling through AR, and we like a good casino, so we booked a room for one night. The hotel is beautiful and our room was lovely. We did not need a room with a view as we would not be here long and it was dark, but we could see the mountains (hills?) in the distance. The king room came with many extra amenities that I've not seen in average hotels, and that I appreciated! The lighting, storage, decor, and small details made the space very comfortable and functional. The king bed was extremely comfortable with a light but warm comforter and fluffy pillows. I slept great! Next to the bed were 2 end tables each with 2 large drawers. In addition to the lamps on each nightstand, there were reading lights in the wall on each side of the bed. Instead of an alarm clock, there was a tablet with the time, weather and alarm feature. I did not use the tablet, but appreciated the integration of technology. The main space had 3 chairs, one ottoman, and a cocktail table. I appreciated the extra furniture as seating options instead of just sitting on the bed or at the desk. The desk had a camel-colored writing blotter complete with stationary/letterhead and envelopes. The pens provided have the stylus tips to use with touch screens (like the tablet in the room). There was a long "dresser" with drawers and 2 cabinets - one with a safe and one with a mini fridge. Plenty of room to put items away. The Keurig came with several coffee & tea options (or bring your own). Along with the bottles of water, rock glasses, and ice bucket, there was a cute little ice scoop too. The closet contained 2 robes, slippers, and extra blanket, lots of hangers, and an iron & ironing board. The bathroom was large and bright. Having a pocket door for the toilet room is helpful for a bit of privacy. The main mirror could be adjusted for brightness and there was a makeup mirror which is so helpful not only for makeup application but for hubby when he shaves. The vanity had 2 drawers on either end so my items did not have to be all over the counter. It was nice to have 4 bath towels (2 for each of us) as some hotels only give 2 or 3. The shampoo, soap and other complementary products were also appreciated (though we bring our own), especially the mouthwash The few staff with whom we interacted were pleasant and helpful and the main spaces were very clean. We did spend time in the casino. There is a separate smoking area with games, a high limit area (maybe 2?), and several restaurants and bars. We were too late to eat at any of the restaurants but did enjoy drinks at the sports bar while we watched Sunday night football and listened to some drunken nonsense from some regulars. We played the slots, there is a good variety of new and classic games, and it wasn't crowded, but the music was super loud in a few spots. We came away up a few dollars and that is a win for us. All of the "little" things add up and we would love to stop back when we are in the area again.

Yelp
The casino visit was disappointing due to cleanliness issues and inattentive staff. No employee checked in with me regarding my needs. I had to leave my machine to get a drink, and upon returning, I found that someone else had taken my place. The experience was unpleasant. The racing area lacked notable features, making it unmemorable. The gift shop was crowded, leading to a short visit. Nevertheless, an employee at the gift shop close to the races showcased exceptional customer service skills and impeccable attire, while a younger staff member exhibited poor personal hygiene, loud behavior, and an unfriendly attitude towards guests.

Yelp
Gotta say, I was shocked this past weekend!!! Paid 1100.00 to stay w/ a view of a roof and no maid service whatsoever!!!! Could not believe it!!!! Will stay somewhere else from now on!!!!

Nathan H.

Yelp
We have stayed twice one in a trackview room the other in a jr. suite the trackview suite was actually better even though the jr suite offered a sitting area for work and guests which was nice. Overall it's a nice casino resort, however I do hope they do not become victim as many non Vegas and even some of those do and that's let the rooms and common areas wear and become "not as nice" the shower in the Jr. suite as an example was completely different than the trackside suite, and it was in need of of needing grout fixing.

J D.

Yelp
The attitude of almost every employee, especially, the restaurant and betting windows SUCKED!!! it was like they were all paranoid about something. we'll NEVER GO BACK! DONT Go!!

Yelp
Skip to the last paragraph for a summary! Lol! Really beautiful hotel & casino. It's what I'd expect from such a modern day luxury hotel. Unfortunately what killed it for me was all of their hidden fees. I ordered $130 worth of room service during my stay, but when I checked out, it was about $2,000 with all the fees they racked up on me daily. They called it a "room rate" and it went up each day I ordered any room service. Plus all the automatic gratuity, (not sure what is up in Arkansas and their automatic gratuity but okay..) it just didn't sit right with me but u have no choice but to pay it. Food is above the average when it comes to aesthetic but not worth the expensive price especially when it looks like dinner you could get at a steakhouse or breakfast from Cracker Barrel. Overall, the front desk/room service is amazing, the spa service was amazing, note they also add an automatic gratuity of 18-20% and it's also pretty expensive as well, I found that other spots in town offer lower prices for the same niche & pampering, but it's fine, I liked it as I hadn't had a spa day in a while. I paid about $800 for two 80-min massages. Probably because we did have some extra add on for face masks. You mainly sit in the steam/pool/sauna room for an hour - hour and a half before your massage session and then you're greeted by a soft spoken masseuse. My massage was good, but I've had better when it came to how I like my massages. I did enjoy how they treated me and my partner though. Will I be back? Probably not unless it's just for a weekend getaway, and I wouldn't stay as long as I just did. Front desk also lied to me and said I had an amazing view of the track but I did not. I spend so much for a view of the back of the building And I definitely would just go out for breakfast and dinner instead of staying in as the fees for room service are a little out there. I'm not sure why my room service fee was $2k on top of the rate I paid for my room, definitely overpriced and I swear it's not me being cheap. Especially when they now have a casino and a race track which I'm sure is racking in more than enough $$$ to let some of these fees go. This hotel seems like a cash grab to me with the fees & automatic gratuity on everything but I guess it's worth it as the most luxury hotel in hot springs. It looks like a 5-star hotel, acts like a 5-star hotel. Not sure if it really is a 5-star hotel though. All I know is those hidden fees absolutely killed me. So yes, book your WEEKEND stay, but even that may cost you an arm and a leg. I'm 100% sure you will get the same luxury from your local Hilton hotel or something for better rates.

Yelp
This place is so new and clean. The staff is friendly and make you feel very comfortable. We came to Hot Springs for a weekend get away and it was more than enjoyable. Making my room reservation for opening weekend of horse racing.

Yelp
Loved spending the weekend here! I've traveled the world and love a beautiful hotel room. This place was super clean, super comfortable, and they had everything we needed! The staff everywhere was amazing and took great care of us!

Yelp
Well it was an experience. Don't book here until the construction is complete. Other hotels with full spa and swimming are your best bet right now. Be patient because Oaklawn is gonna be one of the BEST EXPERIENCE and get away for the area! Across from Rally's is the main entrance. PARKING $5/valet for daily parking $20/overnight guest stay FREE self-parking (very limited) yet there is a shuttle if you have to park far away. CHECK-IN Our bags were placed on the cart and then we waited...Our check in wasn't quick because the hotel is short staffed and the phones were constantly ringing! We received service 15-minutes after waiting around for the front desk staff to finalize the call he was on. Our check-in took so long (20-mins tops) because the young man was looking for an ADA room for us with no view. OPTIONS with a view or without a view. Room w/o a view (Thursday $155, FRIDAY & Saturday $225). Check in consists of: credit card and identification THEN credit card for incidentals THEN sign two electronic statements THEN sign a hard copy INTERIOR Bright and upscale. Glassed in lobby. Fresh daily flowers. Enclosed ceiling-to-base glass Fire pit for sexiness. Trophy case with lots of silver plates. The store has a few tourist logo offerings with necessary sundries (cough drops, gum, pain relief, etc.). The chandeliers are updated versions of 1960's/70's glam. Light grey and marble looking colors everywhere with bold pops of dark blue. Cool and calm interior. I know there was music piped in but it was too low. I don't recall smelling any pumped in scents. I'm sure there is... because there is so much construction going on. There is lots of comfortable seating in the lobby which includes a lobby bar! There is also a VIP Check-in. I snooped back to the area and was escorted back towards the main desk. At this time, there is no VIP (it's a bare glassed in office). EVENTS AREA I wandered through the gigantic doorway to the hallway and into one of the event spaces. This room had pull out stadium seats (like high school bleachers). So this huge space will be used for concerts, maybe boxing, etc. I believe it has a stage and huge TVs will be put in place. I saw lots of stacked chairs and boxes, etc. It's not in use currently. The box office is small and set back in an area within the lobby nearest the glass door escalator entrance. Other rooms are near the big room . RESTROOMS Very bright with a grey and metal theme from the 20's/50's/60's geo pattern. I really dig that cool look! LOBBY BAR Large, bar area with extra seating is inviting with a large TV at the bar. New brass bar implements sit on either ends of the bar and one fresh rose on a stick stem. The bartender had stepped away so I was not able to see the cocktail menu pricing. DINING The main dining area for upscale eats is: The Bugler (as in listen to the bugle) was closed on Friday & Saturday for a private family owner wedding event. So we weren't able to eat at the establishment. I did go inside and noticed that it has very close views of the race track (glass wall) and has a very elegant, sexy and sultry looking restaurant. At night this place must look SPECTACULAR with candles & fresh flowers. The menu is delightful and priced right ($$$). Perfect for treating yourself or those you love! (Sorry I didn't take photos of it...I stopped in after going soaking in one of the downtown bathhouses... and wanted to check out the menu when I was informed it was closed for the weekend because of the event)... I was in sadsVille! :( I highly suggest you make reservations!!!!! The Casino floor has: The Perc (coffee cafe) which serves oversized breakfast sandwiches & pastries... along with your coffee faves! Plenty of seating. The Deli .... Not currently in operation. I was told possibly June 27th is the opening date. Big Al's Diner... which is part of the Room Service Menu. Breakfast, lunch and dinner for the NO FRILLS person. Silks Bar & Grill (has entertainment bands). Silks had gaming at the bar and additional seating (table top & booth seating) for dine in. I ordered a chicken salad without chicken and substituted it for grilled shrimp with a side of salad dressing (wine & cheese). I am a fanatic of this wine & cheese salad dressing it is so rich and creamy. Yum! The staff were so pleasant and helpful in assisting because the menu had changed. I wanted to substitute the chicken out for Salmon but it was taken off the menu. The salad was great (except I'm NOT a fan of black olives... disgusting!!). Track Kitchen is NOT within the hotel. It sits near the outside track! So, I'm not able to review it. Part 2...located on Google reviews

Yelp
This week's Grand Opening of an 8-story 198-room Luxury Hotel, part of a 28-month $100 million expansion, marked another milestone in the storied history that is Oaklawn. Guest Services Coordinator Crystal treated me to a tour of the impressive world-class facility that will soon include an Event Center, Spa, Pool, & Fitness Center. I will skip the descriptive adjectives & just let my photos speak for themselves. Privately owned by the Cella family since 1916, Oaklawn is ranked 4th among thoroughbred racetracks in the country. It has made major contributions to Hot Springs tourism & economic development. The creation of an additional 400+ jobs via this expansion is to be applauded.

Yelp
Great casino, live band they had Friday night was fun and entertaining.Staff was friendly and helpful. Located right down the street from Bath House Row. Wish the horse racing's was going on when we visited that would of been nice to watch with the family.

Kim M.

Yelp
Sadly this is the only casino in this area and because there is NO competition with thi the management doesn't have to cater to the customer's.

Sally G.

Yelp
They did everything Mark told us they would and very quickly! Thank you Mark, Russell and Julie!

Linda B.

Yelp
Spa facilities were beautiful, but buyer beware. If you have an add on to your massage, they charge you for it, however, it does not add any time to your spa treatment. You just pay more for the same amount of time. Website is very misleading.

BS K.

Yelp
Reserved room in advance and requested a great view of track or city. We got neither in 2nd floor. This didn't happen. They were willing to change our room but we had unpacked and didn't want to repack to move. No view and the room was very very noisy. Heard a/c units all night. No plans to return or recommend.

Yelp
Don't go to the Bugler restaurant,, you will be sadly disappointed,, the food is way overpriced the service is horrible,, we spent over $200 and would've rather went to one of the local owned restaurants ,

Rebekah D.

Yelp
Excellent resort! The rooms are beautiful and spacious. We got a room with a track view even though the horses weren't running. There is nice landscaping and a pound with a fountain to look at. The casino is amazing!!! It is smoke free which is fantastic !!! For those that have to smoke they do have a small smoking slot room. This casino is amazingly clean and the workers are so friendly. I think the floor space of the casino was bigger than some in Vegas! We made reservations at the Bugler restaurant both nights we stayed bc it was so amazing the first night we went. Ashley was our server she is such a delight we requested her the second night too. The steaks are amazing!! I had a filet the first night and my husband had the tortellini which he also enjoyed. The second night I had the sea bass which is amazing!! We also had dessert the first night which was presented beautifully and just as good as it was beautiful. We had such a great time and enjoyed the hotel so much that we will definitely make the 5 hour trip south again to visit Oaklawn resort.

Lynden P.

Yelp
The room was nice, and loved staying on the premises with the track and casino. However, service and food were poor. They screwed up our check-in, did not clean our room during our stay. The tablet for room controls did not work, nor did the guide on the television. Our meal experience in The Bugler was mediocre, at best, and our meal in The Silks was awful. Even my favorite oyster and shrimp bar at the track was disappointing. We have been to the track many times over the years, and this may have been our last. Sorry to see such a great tradition leave our lives.

Meagon M.

Yelp
Amazing customer service with beautifully designed rooms! Alot of dining choices right on the property and with the casino and racing you don't have to leave to enjoy your time.

Karen H.

Yelp
We've been to the Bugler twice and while the food was good the service was just horrible. The 1st time was the opening day and the manager said they were booked out but we could sit at the bar at 5 but when we arrived, only 3 tables were booked, the whole place was EMPTY the entire time we were at the bar. The 2nd time we were there for a friend's birthday and we were LIED to and told that we had to purchase a dessert for her to have hers. I also ordered decaf and was given caffeinated coffee, which kept me up all night. When I called the manager to complain he was extremely rude and said he would investigate and call back, which he never did. Days later I called the hotel manager, we really wanted this to be our 'go-to' restaurant but we also had to be happy with the service... The hotel manager was apologetic and offered complimentary dessert which at this point was an insult. We had spent hundreds of $$$$ there but will not return. For the price paid it was just not worth it. Thanks for reading.

Yelp
the most perfect stay at the most perfect place. the service is unmatched, the food is top of the line, there is no cleaner place on earth, & everyone is beyond nice & helpful. the rooms are so spacious & classy. I can not give this place enough stars.
