Expected a bit more, given previous experience with Oaks, but it was adequate for our needs. Excellent indoor pool, in-room spa bathtub and decent rates, but very small rooms, quite noisy, no food service on site, none of the advertised coffee pods... Close to everything though, and hassle-free.

If you enjoy the sounds of clanging scaffolding and power tools all day and the delightful views of blokes in hard hats and high vis right outside your balcony, then this is the place for you!|On the plus side the bed was comfy and the apartment was clean and tidy however none of that matters when all you want is a sleep in after a torrid day of wine trailing and Rugby.|There are a lot of hotels in Adelaide and the price we paid for this "getaway" feels like an absolute rip-off. I would have been slightly less annoyed if someone had mentioned the construction site outside our window during the booking process or even when we checked in at 10pm. Staff were dismissive at best. During one of the several trips to reception to get the key card reprogrammed we were informed that a quieter room might be available in a day or so....... too little, too late. Looking out the window i would estimate another few years of construction so i would avoid the Oaks Suites until then or ask for a room out of the work site.

Pros and cons of Oaks horizons: We loved the spa, sauna, pool after hot days roaming. Deluxe kitchen was well equipped . A tray of ice ready would be a kind gesture for each room in the heat please. No salt, pepper, no wash cloths to wipe surfaces after cooking. View of the car park was a real let down especially when hoons are making use of it at night. The halls STUNK of rubbish. We were directly beside the rubbish shoot and the door was open and it was SO STINKY. Sadly got to say I didn't find the staff friendly. They did their job but no smiles. Our key cards to access pool and rooms constantly needed re jigging to work due to magnetic strip which was not practical and a bit tedious. Rooms were clean. Beds comfy. Shower door needed attention . I would stay again as the location was a key factor .... but would like to offer these honest comments to management.

If possible, try to get a room facing North Terrace and if you can get one on a high floor, you may also get some nice views. Rooms at the back, on floors up to and including level 5 look out onto a caged carpark and are dark. Although, silver lining is that they are quiet. Gym equipment a little tired. Apartment itself is roomy.

We have stayed at Oaks properties around Australia which have been great experiences however the stay at the Adelaide Oaks Horizon was disappointing.|The apartment was sparsely appointed with no dish washing liquid, no kitchen sink plug, limited starter pack that had no individual butter portions for first morning especially if you arrive late , no sharp knives (only bread sharp knife) no no clothes drying rack, no blanket. Saying that when raised with Reception they provided sharp knives (looked like they went out and bought new) and microwave bowls provided after sourcing from Coffee Club next door. |Our bathroom in room 1109 would not be suitable for older people as you need to climb into being combined shower and bath. |Bedroom TV didn’t have all the free to air channels, Management did offer to retune but should be available when you check in. Minimal Foxtel channels noted and should be advised on website. Room was comfortable as we were out most of the days. Bed ok, pillows not great. Construction next door between the 2 Oaks Hotels, our room was at the back of the hotel and only heard noise if the balcony door was open. |You could tell lift 2 Graffiti had been removed, hallway carpets need a good clean and walls too. |Perfect location for Convention Centre and Adelaide Oval. Short walk to Rundle Mall and 15min pleasant walk to Adelaide Central Market. Great food.||Maintenance issues are clearly something this property needs to address. Spa on level 3 not working, it was like sitting in a warm bath tub.

We have loved coming to the oaks for years, so central to everything and always lovely service. Very comfortable bed! The rooms are starting to look a little bit dated and could do with a little bit of love, but it won't stop us from coming back 😊

Room was just ‘ok’. Not terrible but should have been better and safer. Broken light switch with exposed conductive parts in bedroom. Deteriorated cable for lamp revealing exposed wires can cause an electric shock. The toilet leaks a bit of water sometimes too. Some parts where something had broken was repaired with multiple screws looking a bit rough. Otherwise room was quiet good in size and bed no too bad.

Was the worst place I have ever stayed. 100% not worth the price at all it was the biggest waste of money. Toilet wouldn’t even flush and made constant noise. Only one of our room cards worked. Tv in our bedroom didn’t work. They made us pay $90 for parking but wouldn’t even let us park in their private carpark only their public one which they gave us a code to enter and exit, the code screen was out of order for the whole 4 days we were there so we had to call the reception everytime we wanted to enter or exit. The first time I called the number displayed on the screen I was spoken to rudely then hung up on. In total I paid $770 to stay for three nights and it was incredibly disappointing, the staff were un helpful and the room was terrible. I have stayed places WAY cheaper which were 10x nicer.
