Oaks Glenelg Plaza Pier Suites

Stayed here for one night (end of June) after travelling for 2 days so was exhausted upon arrival. I arrived 3 hours before my booking time but since they were fully booked the previous night there no rooms available for early check in. The staff were friendly and helpful though and offered to check in my luggage at reception and offered me a seat on the comfy couches in the waiting area. They let me know the minute a room was ready (2 hours before check in time) which was wonderful! The room was clean and neat, had a small kitchen area with fridge, coffee machine, microwave etc. and a super comfortable bed. Good water pressure in the bathroom. Restaurants on site or a short walk to the pier for a variety of restaurants. Beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony where I sat the next morning enjoying coffee. Can't wait to stay here again!

Generally, an excellent facility with good customer service. We used pool and gym, and they were good. In-room facilities included washer/dryer which was easy to use. Car parking is unallocated and not secure. It is basement parking but open to the beach and any salt spray during stormy weather. The bathroom of our room is in need of repair and upgrade. Bottoms of both doors are heavily water damaged, the bath (no separate shower) shows rust in the bottom and is curved so no level space to stand for shower, the fixed glass pane as a shower screen is barely 400m which is grossly inadequate. The basin is cracked and the cover behind the ancient mixer tap is also cracked in several places. Will recommend, but parking at $28/night is a little high.

After travelling in South Australia for two weeks we decided to pause, rest relax and enjoy lazy days at the beach. My initial query was by phone and when the questions were all answered I made the booking for a two bedroom apartment with four beds and two bathrooms. No money was required until check in. On entering the accommodation, we were amazed at the size of the unit, the huge living and dining areas and the great kitchen with a coffee pod machine. Beds were extremely comfortable, bathrooms were spacious and we even had an extra toilet. Beach views were spectacular from the bedrooms and all living areas. We were close to Glenelg restaurants, shops and transport links. Marvellous!

Three night stay in March in a one bed apartment overlooking the beach. Plus - 1. fabulous view although had to ask to move room as the initial one was only on floor 2 & directly overlooked the beach area where a festival had been held & there were cranes & workers from early in the morning for the entire time of our stay. Reception staff moved us to a much nicer apartment floor 7. 2. Great location - very convenient. 3. Spacious clean apartment. Negative - 1. Room was prepaid - confirmed on check in. When checked out no mention of any charges but 2 days later was emailed an invoice and our credit card was charged for the full room rate for the whole stay - over $1000! Invoice appeared to be for another guest. I tried calling the hotel multiple times but no reply and emailed twice. 5 days later no reply. Had to get my travel agent to speak to the hotel to apply for a refund. No apology, explanation or direct contact. 2. Sparse on equipment in the kitchen - just about managed to cook one evening but missing basic equipment such as scissors, baking tray, oven gloves etc. Shame as lots of cupboard space and a lovely area to cook but only really set up for very basic cooking. 3. No instruction manuals for any equipment - guesswork for the oven! Found the washing machine and dryer instructions online.

Amazing staff at checking Dilini was very friendly. So was all the other staff members we encountered. Very clean rooms well maintained and looked after all stocked up with everything you need. Such a great location the beach the pool and great atmosphere what more could you ask for.

DO NOT STAY HERE ON A FRIDAY OR SATURDAY NIGHT !! Pub / Nightclub on the ground floor music to 2am!!! If your all for the party scene this is for you 😂 Here for a long stay all was well until the party scene started Friday and Saturday night. Unsure why there is a Bar/Nightclub in the same building. If you enjoy quiet nights this isn’t your place. Whole family was up due to the bass thumping through the foundations we were located opposite side of the building to the club. Rooms were good rooms were cleaned most days throughout our stay. Pool and gym clean and well maintained basic dishwasher and washer need to google the manuals difficult to use. Ac heats and cools well lounge and tv also easy to use with pay tv channels. UPDATE on the review later on that night we were moved to another room on the opposite side of the building and was given a discount with parking which we didn’t ask for which was a great surprise. The customer service was great and the issue was resolved to the best of their ability. The club downstairs doesn’t have anything to do with the hotel so they are limited on what actions they can do for the time being.

Great location, not a bad room but don’t rely on the staff to address any issues. There was so many issues with the so called premier room, coffee pods missing, no sink plug, no dish cloth, no instructions for the washing machine, grill not working, exhaust fan not working. But the staff had a could not care less attitude. After a week and two emails I’m still waiting for tax invoice, there is no attention to detail from this venue. Mark 0447342425.

The room we had was nice with a wonderful view. Parking was brutally expensive at 27 dollars a day and we were only given 6 coffee pods for 8 nights for 2 people in the highest spec room. Was given the option to buy more pods at a dollar each. It's pathetic penny pinching rubbish like this that gets a place a bad name.
