Oaks Glenelg Plaza Pier Suites

We had the 3 bedroom on top floor. It was beautifully laid out and one of a kind view. Just a couple of things in the room needed a touch up eg tv cabinet fallen off wall on one side, no shower door in one of the bathrooms and some minor cosmetic damage, also was t given a plug for the spa bath, we only stayed one night so didnt bother getting one. Otherwise amazing stay will definitely go back!

We stayed at Oaks Glenelg over the Christmas period. Check-in was quick and easy, and the location is excellent — close to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The facilities themselves are also good and well positioned. However, the cleanliness and servicing let the stay down. Over Christmas, the phones were not working, so it wasn’t possible to contact reception, which was frustrating. The bin chute area was in poor condition, with rubbish overflowing and the chute completely full. The apartment kitchen was missing several basic items, and the daily service was inconsistent. An older staff member was assigned to clean the rooms and appeared to have difficulty walking, which we genuinely felt uncomfortable about. During our three-night stay, our room was not cleaned at all — we were only able to request a top-up of toilet paper and detergent. Overall, the location and facilities are a strong positive, but housekeeping and communication definitely need improvement, especially during busy holiday periods.

Rooms were nice enough. Bathrooms a bit dated but room was fine. Window could do with cleaning. Our safe wasn’t working throughout even though we told them numerous times. However after the trip they offered a partial refund Decent enough location to glenelg and transport links to Adelaide city were close enough

Perfect beachfront we requested for a newly renovated room cafes shops restaurants all within walking distance. We had the most delicious lunch and cocktail drinks with million dollar views at Ocean bar and kitchen located in Henley beach 10mins by car.

Booked a last minute stay here during a weekday. We didn't have any issues getting a room. What we got was fine for what we needed. The room was clean, we had a little pattio that looked over the neighbouring park. The bathroom was clean, bit dated but still fine. The staff were polite and helpful. The location was perfect for what we needed.

We checked in late for a 3 nights stay so when we came back from the shop, I was surprised to find no kitchen knife to prepare and cook our dinner. I called housekeeping but received no answer, so after I was able to reach reception at 9:30 pm and explained my needs for assistance, they said just give them some times. I explained again that I'm waiting for that kitchen knife to cook dinner as my toddlers have not yet eaten. They came quickly enough but brought me a tomato knife. I said, that's not what I needed. They went away then called me to say that they don't have a normal kitchen knife, not in any other rooms either. I could not believe this to be true, because my husband has business travels on a regular basis, and we have stayed in other similar apartments such as Meriton Suites Mascot Central, and the Crown Towers in Perth to name a few, and they have every knife a normal home kitchen would have. This is such a disappointing experience and we're only at the beginning. The reception staff even tried to charge us extra for parking when our booking already have parking for one car included. I had to point it our to them when they told us the parking cost as we responded yes to needing a carpark. They even asked if we wanted two keys when both my husband and I were standing there together, and our booking indicated for 2 adults and 2 toddlers. Seeing service like that upon our arrival, so when my husband suggested we tell them about our room not clean and ask to be moved, while it's true, I decided against it, not wanting them to move us to a room on a much lower level out of spite. Regardless, the part where we can't have a normal size kitchen knife in our two bedrooms apartment is what bothers me the most. I would love to be able to check with a manager to understand why the Oaks Plaza Pier only have tomato knife and bread knife, and no kitchen knife, but I found no option to contact a manager on their website. I can't just walk down to reception to look for a manager because I have childcare drop-off followed by work in the office every day for the whole duration of our stay. I won't call and ask to speak with a manager for obvious reason; I don't trust these staff would give me the manager on request.

Great location. Rooms are clean and comfortable but a bit dated, particularly the bathroom. Love the ocean views from the balcony. Staff are friendly and accommodating. We were able to check in early.
