"Uber cool Port Douglas The heat's been turned up in Port Douglas with the reasonably new QT resort. It's not beach side but with all the relaxing by the in-house lagoons, the juicy citrus tones and staff dressed in bright Hamptons style, who is going to leave the hotel anyway? Make use of the gorgeous vintage-style bicycles - and take them all around town - and use of the lap pool, gym and tennis courts to keep bikini trim. 170 rooms, plus a couple of exclusive villas, are decked in mainly whites, with bright colour pops in cushions and towels. The lobby is really appealing, a place to hang out rather than just sign in and move on. The hotel brings a cool new edge to this tropical town. It's a bit of a discerning young person's hotel, perfect for those looking to do the tropics in style, away from the madding crowds in the centre of town."

The Oaks Resort is a fantastic place to stay. It is ideal for couples and families. The rooms are super clean and spacious. Beds are comfortable and shower is great (hot water and pressure). The pool is a great place to relax, read, tan, eat and swim. Swim up bar offers a great variety of drinks and food. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Bar and restaurant is also a winner. Rest rooms are super tidy and clean for guests. Reception is always there to assist with whatever you need. Shuttle bus into town is regular or there are scooters and bikes if you prefer. We absolutely love this place and never stay anywhere else when in PD. Thanks Oaks for yet another comfortable and accommodating stay. Can’t wait to see you all again.

We had a good stay in a 2 bedroom pool view room. The pool was great for the kids. The food offered isn’t amazing unfortunately but it’s not far to head into town to eat out or grab takeaway. All staff were friendly.

For the price I paid for $650 for two nights, I thought the Oaks was the best option to stay in a resort at Port Douglas. Not too expensive and the place looks amazing!. Clean, comfy rooms. Beautiful tropical atmosphere, bar inside the pool!! And an awesome restaurant. Do yourself a favour and try a night at the Oaks!. ❤️

Quite a delight. ||The room. We chose garden view which was private. Second level. Room not big but ok. Bathroom tight but excellent shower. Pity about the thin toilet paper and tissues. ||The pool. Excellent. Lounges not premium ||The food. Fabulous breakfast at $25. Great setting by the Lilly pond. Dinner good although ambience lacking but my wife decided she had the best barramundi ever there. Lunch available. ||Location. 800 m from beach. Although three kms from town a great walk there or shuttle bus readily available at $5. ||Team. Exceptional. Mostly foreign backpackers but so skilful and charming.

This was a nice place with beautiful gardens, pool and amenities. Breakfast was included and was adequate with hot and continental choices. The restaurant over the pond was closed during our visit, which is where breakfast is usually served. Our main criticism was the noise at night. The walls are thin, and we heard our noisy neighbours banging dishes and talking at all hours. We stayed 3 nights, and every night, we were awakened at least twice by loud banging somewhere nearby. Not sure of the source. We would stay here again but ask for a room that wasn't connected to another room. Our balcony was private. Food from the pool area was tasty but my nachos was presented in a cardboard box and was stuck to the paper at the bottom making some of it inedible. Prices for food and drink weren't cheap but comparable with other venues. Lots of eaties and a supermarket just a short drive away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We were warmly welcomed and given lots of local knowledge to enhance our stay. We loved the relaxed atmosphere and the staff were always willing to chat or help
