Top 10 motel style room, everything you need with communal kitchen to cover full cooking needs. Nicely refurbished bathrooms - nicest I've seen at a Top 10. Excellent value for money. Kids always love the bouncy pillow and play options. ||||The mini golf is a great offer - it's a hard course though 😉

About 20-30 minutes walk from town and an easy walk through the beautiful park during the day time. Nice camper van serviced spots with surround edging grass areas. The site is located adjacent to a local road which lorries and cars do use at about 40mph+ throughout the day and there is a train track the other side of the river that thunderous diesel cargo trains use a few times a day. Excellent secure toilet and shower facilities and kitchen areas. Good for a night stop I would suggest for campers.

We checked in through Top 10 Oamaru holiday park on 23rd june 2025 at 7.30pm.The staff was really unfriendly as the heat pump in the shared kitchen was turned off at around 08.30 pm while we were cooking and when we requested for the heat pump to be left on as we had an infant with us, the staff refused inspite of the temperature being as low as 1 degree Celsius. It would have been understandable if there was any notice of some kind regarding the timings of the heat pump before the bookings were made or during the check-in.Hence,we wouldn't recommend this Top10 holiday park to anyone traveling with an infant.Additionally, the kitchen did not have any dish washing liquid available which is usually available in other Top 10 holiday parks. Moreover, there were no rubbish bins provided inside the kitchen, which meant we had to go outside in the cold to throw the rubbish.Overall we request Top10 to remove the superior status given to this holiday park.

Loved loved loved everything about my stay here and the town. The holiday park was by far the best I've stayed at in my 3 week holiday in NZ. It was SOOOOOO clean and very suitable for my budget. I arrived late and was greeted with kindness and the lovely lady even told me to take a quick run down to the harbour to see the blue penguins 💙🐧which unfortunately I didn't see any of 😞 Highly recommend this place to stay 😃 unfortunately I didn't get any photos

We were so happy to have power again, showers, and a clean place to be. Was a lovely stay. Too bad about rain but it was the first rain we had since Queenstown.||This is a lovely holiday park. Don’t hesitate to visit.||It is very quiet and very clean and well kept.

The camp was conveniently located close to the towns main facilities and attractions. Well presented and clean and tidy amenities is all you can ask for and this camp delivers well. Happy to recommend

After a long trip in South island visiting most of the top 10 holiday parks, this was our last and the worst top 10 holiday park we visited where in we checked in at around 7.30 pm and it was freezing cold in Oamaru. To our surprise the kitchen had no utensils, no dishwash liquid ,no clothes to wipe and no rubbish bins provided in the kitchen where we had to go out in the cold for disposing anything which was different from other holiday parks. Moreover, the heat pump in the shared kitchen was on while we got into the kitchen and started cooking around 08.30 pm, but out of nowhere a guy just gets in switches off the heat pump and leaves. We were so annoyed at this because he didn't even let us know that he was gonna switch it off and its a basic courtesy to let us know especially we had our infant with us in the kitchen too. When we approached the reception to request it to be turned on for a while, the staff was so rude that he just replied that he should be called only for medical emergencies. We just continued without wasting much time and then the next morning the same thing happens when we were preparing breakfast at 9am where a lady staff comes and switches it off and when asked she says it's left on only from 6am to 9am which is so unfair. Anyways this place is not infant friendly and cannot be ranked superior in the Top 10 holiday parks. I happened to see a review where the holiday park host replied that there were no utensils because they were taken away but I could see a CCTV camera installed there which would help.
