I loved my chalet which was nicely decorated and very clean. There's also a well equipped kitchen block.
I arrived in Oamaru on the Inter City in the morning but was able to leave my luggage in the office until check in time which was great!
The site was clean and very quiet at night. It's right next to the public park which you can enter from the site, which makes a lovely route to walk into town.

My partner and I only stayed for the night but we had the best experience! We booked the standard room with a shared bathroom and kitchen. The bedroom was small but in my opinion so cozy and warm, especially for just us two. The communal spaces were beautiful and tidy and well kept and the customer service was awesome! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone needing just a night’s stay or even a holiday!

Perfectly located for visiting the little blue penguin colony. However we found far more to Oamaru than we expected with the Victorian area and quirky Steam Punk HQ. The site is beside the beautiful town gardens and easy to walk to the town. ||All facilities we as expected of a Top 10 site.

We arrive early and was given a very tight slot for a big Campervan so i went to request for a change as we are not able to park it properly. Initially the front desk reluctant to change but we told her that we checking out early tomorrow and we might not able to drive out due to tight space. She finally reallocated a better spot for us. By midnights i realised a lot of space is empty so i don't think it was fully booked. The facilities is ok but the password padlock for kitchen is annoying. A lot of people not able to unlocked it and we the only people inside need to help to open the doors flr those people stuck outside. Kitchen have no amenities so have to bring own item which is norm in many camp site. However not having a trashbin inside kitchen seem to be hassle. Some parking lot is closer to train line but i am not so bothered by the sound

If you want to go into town centre you will need to drive or ride the push bike i guess . Park facilities are basic . Kitchen is small but most items worked . Toilets and showers are basic just meeting the park franchise requirements. If your heading there during a peak season , you may want to check it out before staying . Easy walking around the park and down the street etc .

We stayed while visiting family. We are familiar with Oamaru, this location is close to town and the gardens are really nice to walk around on a good day. Friendly staff. Well kept site. Nice stay as usual.

Found the unit roomy 2bedroom and wet area shower would be useful for disabled.Beds comfy but minimal and only light bedding and could not see that there were any spare blankets.Heating was fine but was a fan so wouldn't want to use overnight and there were electric blankets but once again would not leave on.Would have been cold without my own hotties....Staff at reception very pleasant and handy location.Would be happy to stay again if more bedding available.
