Super cute and homely B&B in center of Viborg, with quaint little garden area and cheap breakfast, can definitely recommend!

I stayed here for five months. Exceptional accommodation, clean, brilliant staff professional and courteous. Family run business, for me it was perfect, thank you. Comfortable beds and cosy Close to the city centre, walking distance to the railway station

The breakfast was not fresh. On the second day I found the same lump of butter with the knife marks from where I took some the day before. Had it been refrigerated overnight like that? The coffee was at least a day old, I had to pour it down the gutter outside. The bread rolls were obviously wetted down and baked again to make them crispy, all the biscuits and crackers were stale. And, were those the same boiled eggs that had been lying on that plate, from yesterday? While I sat in a sun chair thinking about the awful breakfast and how I'd been tricked into thinking I was eating fresh food on the first morning, along came the owner, keys dangling from her trousers. She was coming to check that the breakfast cottage had been cleaned up by the staff. She shot me a look like I was a brick wall and slouched off to check some rooms. No greeting, no smile, nothing. The only contact I had with staff was when I paid the bill. Except for paying, I was ignored, from arrival and until I stepped in my car and drove away. The young lady (also on the phone) had been very friendly and cooperative. But at the residence it became clear that they were young (untrained?) staff, who had not been charged with the duty of being warm to your guest, and in seeking customer contact. This is a matter of pride in your accommodation, and in confidence, which the owner should have the clear duty of assigning to her staff. I would say: the owner should be an example to her staff, maybe fry me a fresh egg, all out of the goodness of her heart, maybe offer me an espresso, like the one on the picture, framed in the breakfast cottage. She could easily start by saying hello to paying guests without it costing her a cent. Is this Denmark or just the case of a grumpy owner who likes to cut corners and save money? You get two stars because I know you're going to be better in the future.

This is such a lovely place to stay in Viborg. It is an oasis hidden behind a green door from a quiet street which is a short walk into town. Ten minutes walk (if you walk slowly) to the railway station. The staff are so friendly and really can't do enough to help you. I sat in the courtyard at a table in the sun this summer with a lovely ham roll from around the corner (a café next to Fotex - highly recommend it) and it was bliss. My daughter couldn't get into her room at the campus so I called them and they immediately made sure they changed my single to a double. We had a double room with shared bathroom. Only shared with two other rooms - so no problem at all. The beds are comfortable, sheets very crisp and clean. There is even a little kitchen and shared fridge so you can make your own food if you like. I will be staying here every time I go to Viborg - and I'm going October and December. Very much looking forward to the stay ...

Oasen is a very good place to stay while you're in Viborg, Denmark. I stayed here during a business trip. The staff was very friendly and even gave me a welcome beer and bottled water.||||The room I originally had didn't have a bathroom so I had to use the common one right outside my room. I was lucky enough to be transferred to another room that had its own bathroom. There was a kitchen outside my room for common use. They also have a laundry room in another part of the area which has the usual washing machine and dryer. You have to buy and use your own detergent though. ||||They serve daily breakfast and it was good - eggs, cold cuts, bread, cheese, juice, coffee, and tea. ||||Normally people would stay in hotels but I guess in Viborg it's more common to stay in places like Oasen. Overall I would say my stay in Oasen was very good. I will choose to stay here again in the future.

Only great things to say about this B&B:||||The Facilities:||We were blessed to occupy their largest room, with a full kitchen / living room and separate bed / bath. They had a lovely central garden, and pets were welcomed. The clientele were always respectful, and we never had to bear with any unpleasant guests. The Oasen is a very short, manageable walk to the stadium, local nightlife, a Foetex grocery, and Sct Mathias Centret (pedestrian shopping and mall).||||The Breakfast:||Every morning was a very Scandinavian breakfast. Soft-boiled eggs, cheeses, fresh fruit, meats, assorted breads/rolls, coffee/tea, cereals, granola, yogurt, juices and milk. They had long hours, to accommodate any schedule, and did their best to meet you with fresh, warm, rolls and your own breakfast tray.||||The Staff:||The owners were fabulous, and greeted us with smiles each morning. The help was a pleasure, especially Dorina, who brightened our days. They discussed that they'd be transferring ownership to their daughter, but I've no doubt that it will continue to be in good hands.

I have stayed at Oasen 5 times now, and prefer it over the Hotels in this town. Though being as expensive as the hotels, the big apartments are nicely decorated and newly restored with full kitchens and an extra bedroom. At the same price you will get a suite at the nearby Hotel, but the value is better at Oasen.||Avoid the breakfast as it is very sparse and not worth it. The location is close to the town centre making it perfect if you want to explore the historic Viborg.
