Google
Amazing ambiance right on the water. They had Hawaiian ukulele music which made the experience even more unforgettable. The food was amazing, just wish we would have gone here from the very beginning instead of making it our last stop!

Google
We got the poke for app and wedge salad with half of a short rib and the seared catch (ahi tuna) for entres. All of them were really good! Poke sauce was creamy and delicious. They were very generous with the sweet potato that came with the seared catch. The wedge salad wasn't anything crazy, but I did enjoy the bacon bits and tenderness of the short rib. For dessert we also got the ube lavender gelato which was yum! Our server was great and always checked in on us!

Great ambience, views, and service. Cody, who took care of us, was so sweet and provided a great service. Veg options were very limited, but the one option they had - Thai curry - tasted good. I wish they had some protein on their like tofu instead of just veggies. My husband got the fresh catch which he rated 4/5 as well. For dessert we got their apple banana spring rolls which honestly was a little bit of a let down. Overall - food was okay, ambience was wonderful!

Great place! I had my birthday dinner here and was fabulous, we were lucky that it was the same day they were celebrating their anniversary too. The chef prepared a bunch of appetizers. Food was amazing! Location is fenomenal! The service is the best!

Google
Amazing experience from start to finish. The cocktails were well crafted and the wine list well curated. Best mai tai on the island! The old fashioned was great. The appetizers were delectable! Loved the okinowan sweet potato chips with poblano cheese sauce and the fried wontons were mouth wateringly good. Both the seared and grilled catch were awesome. The artistry of the food presentation is great as well. Desserts were a phenomenal finish to a great meal. We had the lumpia and sandy beach dessert. Kudos to the chef. He gets better and better. We’ve been going here for over ten years now and it never disappoints.

Google
Our dinner was delicious!!!! A person in our party was gluten free, they had a special menu and the manager came out to explain the differences and nuances. Excellent service, nice views.

Google
This was such an amazing meal for my husband and I! The view, ambience and service was wonderful! We were able to get a last minute reservation before going. We both got the Elote, Filet, and Beach Rock dessert. The flavors were out of this world! The Filet melted in your mouth amazingly! 10/10 we would highly recommend if you want a relaxing, fun, delicious dinner!

Google
The ambiance, staff and food are spectacular. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about the menu and surrounding areas. I had the grilled catch of the day with a lobster tail, tomato soup, pork wontons and garlic potatoes with a few cocktails. Views were amazing as well

Yelp
Excellent food, outstanding service in the restaurant with the most beautiful view in the world. We got reservations for the Wednesday happy hour with entertainment. The entertainment was by an excellent ukulele player and his partner on guitar. Exceptional waitstaff, they were very attentive. My wife had the steak, and I had the Wagyu beefburger. Very happy with our meal selections.

Yelp
Overall the restaurant has a great ambiance sits right on the beach. The food however wasn't that good. I ordered a smokey honeycomb cocktail (substitute tequila in lieu of mezcal), as recommended by the waiter. It tasted like an average margarita to me. The tomato soup was alright, but you can't usually go wrong with that. The best salad was so pretty visually but it was missing something. The vinaigrette needed to be more flavorful, or they needed to add more textures to diversify this dish. It also turned me off that as soon as the plate was set, there was dozens of baby bugs flying and landing in the salad... The fish of the day wasn't very good--we didn't finish it... That says something especially since we're on the island of Kauai. None of the dishes really impressed me. It's a great view for sure, but I wouldn't really come back to eat here :( I wished I enjoyed it more.

Yelp
This restaurant is absolutely terrible. We went twice during the week we were there separated by 4 days. It was conveniently located at our hotel, and the view is amazing. My husband and his friend who both work in the beer industry were served expired beer on the first day, and they told us they were pulling them from the menu until they got new ones. They were June 2023 expired, which is unacceptable but forgivable. The poke was so fishy I couldn't even stomach it. The wontons were good though. Fast forward 4 days later and we were served THE SAME EXPIRED BEER. They put it back in the cooler and continued to sell it. We had a different manager both times and I found them both to be rude and argumentative. Huge disappointment, with that view they could have something truly special if they just worked on the customer service

Yelp
We stayed at the Waipouli Beach Resort and dined at Oasis on the Beach one evening. The service was superb. Our waitress was a joy and provided great food recommendations. The beer was cold, and the fish was delicious. From what I understand, local ingredients are sourced whenever possible. Everything tasted fresh. The prices were a bit higher than other restaurants. The view of the ocean was nice too.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant right on the beach, and the menu is very high-end, creative cuisine. You can't go wrong eating here! They do have daily happy hour if you want to save a few $$. The live music was also very pleasant.

Yelp
Had dinner here one night while staying on site in an Airbnb. The service, food, & drinks were great! The view, even better. I had a curry dish which the server suggested adding a half portion of fish to. It was delectable!!! The prices were on the higher end but worth it.

Yelp
We happen to just stop by and get dinner here. We started with the won tons which were delicious and there were 5. We also ordered a beer, a pineapple martini, and Paloma. The drinks were delicious and paired perfectly with the meal. We then ordered the catch of the day, wedge salad, and the Taro burger. We all got super quiet when our food came and enjoyed every bite. It is right on the water and you can hear the beach. The service was awesome and we were attended for with water and given great suggestions. The ambiance is so chill but elegant. We came from the pool area but some people were dressed up nice.

Yelp
We didn't stay; we came here due to the happy hour menu !only! to learn there was no happy hour on Wednesdays and no happy hour menu but discounts. The menu was typical and not interesting enough on the small plate menu to tempt us. The 3-stars is for the friendly Staff and beautiful setting. We left and went to another place.

Yelp
We recently came here for my birthday dinner. First time here. Made a reservation through Open Table. Communication was nice, even sent a text when our table was ready, even half an hour before our reservation. Got there and was promptly seated. Friendly waithelp, welcoming, attentive and organized! Food came out quick and in order. Food was delicious, except for alittle salty sweet potato chips. Ahi was fresh. I kinda thought it was defrosted though, so not to sure if it was really fresh fresh. The sweet potato had a mild sweet taste. The bokchoy was mildly flavored. The mild teriyaki sauce helped the dish stand out. My husband enjoyed his filet mignon dish but couldn't figure out the sauce that it came with. Dessert was amazing. Banana lumpia with vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce. Overall, delicious! They charge a resort operation fee. Their kitchen is in a different building from the restaurant. By the time the food travels from the actual kitchen to your table, the food loses its heat. The whole property charges these fees, including the spa and resort on property. The dishes are somewhat expensive. But if it's for a celebration then it's worth it.

Yelp
Stopped in here for live music during happy hour on Wednesday afternoons. This place is a hidden gem with great views, food, and drinks. I ordered an Indian dish that was an Oasis special.

Yelp
They took us in when it was close to closing time. Thank you food was fantastic and the service was impeccable. Beach front seating can't be beat

Yelp
The best service and the best meal we've had on our week in Kapa'a, Kauai, Hawaii. Tyler, the manager, made sure we were being helped throughout our meal and Darla, our server, was the best! She explained our options for our meals, cocktails, and desserts with absolute patience. Everything from our appetizer to our desserts were exactly what we were hoping for! I had the lobster tail and my husband had the catch of the day. The sorbet desserts were the bomb!
google avatar

Yelp
Wasn't expecting to like this place, but it was surprising good. Good ambience, good drinks, and good food.

Yelp
June 2023 Pretty solid overall, 4.5 I'd say. So we ended up here for happy hour hoping to catch some live music later at the suggestion of a local. Unfortunately, her friend had gotten sick and was unable to make it for the gig. This place was still quite worthwhile tho nonetheless. Service checked in frequently, water refills were good and they answered any questions that we had. There is also a nice amount of vegetarian dishes. Over the course we had gotten a number of different drinks along with sweet potato chips, ricotta dumplings, pork wontons, oasis poke, the taro burger, veggie melange, and bacon truffle fried rice. The drinks were on point. The kauaiian punch was my favorite of those. Everything foodwise also had good flavors. Each dish was prepared well. Presentation was really nice. The ones that stood out for us were the fried rice, the poke, and the veggie melange. The fried rice was nicely cooked throughout with the flavors melding well in each bite. The poke wasn't too saucy and the avocado mousse just add. The veggie melange had a nice soy butter sauce that was cooked into the veggies. All in all , one of the nicer meals that we had overall. Too bad we missed the show opportunity but it was a good experience nonetheless.

Yelp
This was a great spot to stop. Great view, food and service. You're probably wondering why then they only give up four stars??? Let's get into it a bit I had the Ahi plate for dinner and my friend had the fish of the days. She had two drinks and I had one. We ate at the bar and the bartenders were really great; Stevo and Shana, I think. Would go again in an instant if it was a bit less expensive. After our tax, tip and resort fee our bill was $183 ... little high for a repeat performance. Just in case you're considering taking the food out there's an 18% charge on top of that. If you have a large amount of disposable income I highly recommend.

Yelp
Our experience dining at Oasis on the Beach was so amazing! To start the view was incredible. It made for a very romantic date night during our family vacation! They sat us at a 2 person table with us both facing the ocean which was awesome! Second our drinks were good. I had a pineapple martini which they use their own pineapple infused vodka I believe and it was delicious. My boyfriend had a Mai tai which packed a punch but was so good! Then to the food. I had the filet plate and he had the grilled catch and they were both amazing. The filet was cooked to perfection with an amazing peppercorn sauce drizzled over that as well as garlic mashed potatoes and green beans! We also had dessert i belief it was the oasis terrine and it was an incredible chocolate mousse with homemade whipped cream to top it off! Lastly our service was great. I can't remember our servers name but she was wonderful and just so sweet. It definitely is more of a fine dining restaurant but so perfect for date night! I definitely recommend dining here!

Yelp
We chose this spot to celebrate our anniversary, and it surpassed our expectations. The soup was a delight, creamy and bursting with flavor. The pork chop was expertly cooked, complemented by the outstanding squash grating, beet cream, and vegetables. The Filet mignon melted in our mouths, accompanied by delicious mashed potatoes. The cocktails were perfectly balanced, and the wine pairings were impeccable. Special thanks to our server, Rian, and the manager, also named Rian, for their exceptional service. The restaurant's cozy atmosphere and stunning ocean view added to the memorable experience. Though we missed the sunset, we're already planning our next visit to catch it.

Yelp
Came here on a weeknight and it was prettt quiet. Great place for date night. Our server Dana was incredible. Highly recommend the short rib dish - the fried rice was to die for!!!! Also the passion fruit margarita was amazing.

H K.

Yelp
overall a good 4 star dinner. service was very good. but, if ambiance is important too you, i honestly wasn't crazy about it. yes it's right in front of the beach, but the restaurant is part of a hotel or timeshare and to be honest, the development is a bit tacky and the 'vibe' of the restaurant is similar plastic lava rocks as you enter the restaurant area kinda turned me off and to me that is all part of the ambiance of a restaurant.

Alyssa M.

Yelp
The restaurant itself is nice. It's right on the beach and has a beautiful view. The service was also great - everyone was very friendly and attentive. No complaints there. The food, however, was very disappointing. We ordered the clams and poke as our starters. The clams were fine, but the poke was honestly inedible. No flavor and the rice was so undercooked that it was still crunchy. The texture of fish was also something I've never experienced before. If I hadn't already known that it was fish, I don't think I would have ever guessed it was fish. It definitely wasn't fresh, I'm guessing it may have been frozen for a long time or frozen and refrozen? Not sure how fish would end up the way it did. The rest of our food was mediocre, but the rice that came with the curry was the same rice that was served with the poke. So it was also undercooked and crunchy. Overall, cute place to get drinks and maybe fries or chips. Do not recommend for dinner though.

Yelp
The best dinner we had on Kauai, excellent service, and great food. Small menu, but something for everyone. Curry with the catch of the day added was perfect. As was the special lobster added to the catch of the day. MaiTai was a bit different, but nice, not too sweet as so many. Tried the Harry and Harriet red blend wine surprised by how smooth and well balanced it was. To the staff thank you for a nice evening. Make sure you book a reservation as it's busy and relatively small.

Yelp
Beautiful beachfront setting, farm to table fresh local ingredients. We had drinks, appetizers, fish, ribs, taro burgers- all very delicious. It was definitely not a fast food meal, but on vacation just enjoyed being there!

Yelp
Oceanside. Lovely. Idyllic. Acoustically soothing. Dana was a fantastic server. She is kind, exuberant, expressive, and wonderfully descriptive about missing she loves at Oasis on the Beach. And, truly, there is nothing to not love. The food is exquisite. I had to Catch of the Day grilled, my date had to Catch of the Day seared, both exquisite. The Pork Dumplings were so good that we got a second order before dinner arrived. What a stunning place. With incredible food. I hope we can make it again before we leave!
google avatar

Kamille M.

Yelp
Came here on a Thursday evening for my partner and I's anniversary! (Made reservations!) The food was amazing and our wonderful server recommended his favorites to us and it did not disappoint! I loved how everything was farm to table which was also a plus for us.
google avatar

Yelp
We were staying at Waipouli Beach resort and just got in. Oasis was open but everything was booked/reserved, we managed to grab some bar seats. Some of those reserved tables weren't even occupied when we left. We started with the clams with white wine broth. This is something you skip. They didn't really cook down the broth and the achiote oil didn't make it any better. We were disappointed and didn't think our main entrees were gonna be any good... but it came up! I got the short rib with truffle fried rice and my husband got the seared ahi with bok choy and Okinawa sweet potato (it was purple). Both dishes were delicious! The seared ahi was seared right and thick. The sweet potato was amazing! And then those bok choy. So good. As for the short rib, you can eat with a fork. Good flavor and the fried rice complimented it. Pricey, but the food is well worth it. Skip the clams though.

Yelp
My wife and I are celebrating our 25 wedding anniversary and were looking for a restaurant on the beach to enjoy the sunset. I found Oasis on the Beach and was absolutely blown away by the caliber of food coming out of the kitchen. We had steak, garlic mashed potatoes, lobster tail and pork potstickers. The steak was delicious and you could cut it with a fork. Ryan gave us the best table in the house and our server Charlie took care of us. If you're in Kauai definitely put the Oasis on your to do list. Thanks guys.
google avatar

Gary G.

Yelp
A cut above other Kauai restaurants on the Eastern coast. Prices are high, but so is everywhere else in Kauai. The food is excellent. The chef has his act together. Wait staff is delightful as well. Great atmosphere and food on the beach.
google avatar

Diesel L.

Yelp
Nice beachfront restaurant with excellent drink choices. Awesome customer service. Highly recommend spending your evening with your significant other at this upscale venue.
google avatar

Alexia H.

Yelp
I CAN NOT believe the food that comes out of the tiny kitchen! The chef knows exactly what he is doing and knows how to use what the island has provided. The atmosphere of the restaurant is beach front with causal upscale feel. We started with the pork wontons and ahi poke yum! We also ordered the pineapple martini (3 of those lol) and a mai tai. For the main course I had the best Braised short rib of my life (took a small break from all the fish) and the burger. All the flavors were amazing! The service was above and beyond expectation.
google avatar

Angela G.

Yelp
I finally made it to Oasis and it was enjoyable and a foodie delight. My first Taro burger just happens to be the best on the island. Inventively amped up with the mixed greens, mustard and Tobacco Onions. I wish I could replicate this in LA but alas, Braddah Dave's Taro Burgers are nowhere to be found here!?! Someone should get on that ... stat! After an amazing day snorkeling with all the fishies, then 4 sea turtles (memorable beyond words) I was hungry and also craving an adult beverage... just not something from the menu. Our wonderful server (so sorry for not remembering his name) asked me what libation I had in mind and the bartender ran with it (Gin, Lilikoi, soda and a splash of 7 UP). I cannot wait to be back in 2024! ~ Mahalo!
google avatar

Robin N.

Yelp
From the moment we arrived until we finished our dining experience the service was great. The manager seated us and asked about food allergies. They were so accommodating especially with gluten free and garlic. The view is awesome - right on beach. Food was very good. We had steak & lobster, Thai curry bowl with lobster and a fantastic pork chop at our table. Between the service and food I absolutely loved this place. Fantastic service and very good food. Highly recommend it.

Gordon F.

Yelp
Great spot. Service and food are good. However, there's one problem with the "Resort Operation Fee." We were just there for dinner, not to swim in their pool. To be fair, after I complained, the manager took the charge off the bill. However, why should I have to complain and ruin the dinner for my guest? What sort of hair brain came up with this idea?
google avatar

Tracy W.

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience here!!! The restaurant is right on the water and connects to a hotel however we did notice there were several locals also butted up to the bar. If you're staying at a waterfront hotel you can walk along the bike path to easily get here. That was our plan however it started to rain heavily so we Ubered which was really cheap and easy. Our server Henry was so fun and friendly! The food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were great too! We'll definitely be coming here every visit to Kapaa.
google avatar

Collin M.

Yelp
Went here for my honeymoon dinner and was a great fancy dinner. You are right on the first with great views and can hear the surf crash during dinner. The server was extremely nice and talked us through the menu. They are uber Hawaiian and source basically everything from the island. Really enjoyed the meal my personal favorite was the grilled Swordfish (catch of the day). My wife loved the clams in wine sauce but all in all there was nothing to complain about
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Nice spot right near the beach. I had a honey cocktail, it was tasty! I had the boneless short ribs for dinner. They were tasty! It came with fried rice and a small bit of kimchi. It was very filling! I enjoyed this for dinner.
google avatar

Maddy O.

Yelp
10/10 across the board. Came here to celebrate my boyfriends birthday, and it did not disappoint. Shout out to Ryan, Ryan, and Rian! The best staff I have ever encountered at any restaurant and especially a fine dining one. They went above and beyond fulfilling any small requests or changes we needed (brought a blanket, took a picture, changing a beverage, etc). In regards to the food, Chef Sean is amazing. Such a talented chef that creates interesting flavor combinations that set these dishes apart. Price was well worth the quality of the food, the ambiance, and service via the staff! Thank you for such a memorable night
google avatar

Clayton G.

Yelp
Great food, amazing location, and Charles as a waiter is simply outstanding. A tad pricey but worth the spend for the view amd quality. NOT associated woth the complex, privately owned and managed.

Summer Y.

Yelp
Love the ambiance here. Such a perfect spot for a honeymoon or romantic dinner. Our server was kind and the food was delicious.
google avatar

Melody M.

Yelp
Charlie was absolutely excellent and let us know about the farm to table and line-caught fish specials. We had the Tuna Collar and sous vide lobster tail with a Semillon and it was the best meal of the island. Kudos to the chef!
google avatar

Heather P.

Yelp
View is amazing and the service was perfect. Food and drinks were just okay. You go for the view for sure. We were excited to try some drinks but they weren't great. Would go again for the location.
google avatar

Peggy B.

Yelp
Great wonton appetizer was really good. I had the braised boneless short rib dish and hubby had the grilled catch of the day with lobster cream sauce and gnocchi. We agreed the short rib was more seasoned/ tasty than the grilled fish. Both were pretty good. Reservations are needed. Ambiance is on the beach so great wave sounds. Oasis is part of the resort. View is great. The staff are really nice. Sit at the bar (great bartenders) or at a table.

Jan B.

Yelp
Mai Tais! Pork Won Tons! Service! Friendly staff! Views! We visited 3 times while on the island and each time was fantastic!
google avatar

Glenda G.

Yelp
Oasis was such a great experience! Our server was so friendly and pleasant. The food was great! The view was beautiful. What more can you have... oh also the Mai tais were yummy!
google avatar

Sierra T.

Yelp
Oh my goodness, do yourself a favor and visit this gem!! The team there are all lovely and very accommodating! After an untasteful experience at a nearby restaurant, we decided to have dinner elsewhere. That's when we called Oasis on the Beach, and their team was able to make our reservation very easily over the phone. When we got there, Ryan (the host) was extremely welcoming from the moment we stepped in until he waved goodbye to us on our way out. He made sure we were very comfortable. Then Charlie (our waiter) came in with the happiest attitude, and let us in on the specials and the crowd favorites. We had the burrata tomatoes for the appetizer, and the filet mignon for dinner. All of the food was absolutely DELICIOUS! Oh, and let me tell you.. that bread?! Amazing! I will happily return on my next trip to Kauai!
google avatar

Lisa C.

Yelp
For those of us who book modest accommodations when traveling, eating at a resort restaurant is a nice way to experience the luxury ambience for an hour or two. For this reason, I recommend Oasis on the Beach if you're in the mood for a quiet, sedate dinner on the beautiful grounds of the Waipoili Beach Resort. Oasis bills itself as farm to table, emphasizing the use of local produce and seafood as much as possible. Plates are colorful and the food is delicately seasoned. However, Mr. Crankypants' duroc pork chop was not local, and in fact our server informed us that the local pork is not of sufficient quality for this establishment. We did not ask about the beef. My local fish (uku) was excellent. Curiously, our drinks took a long time to arrive. It's weird to start drinking a Mai Tai when you're halfway through your dinner. It was potent, and excellent. I would have enjoyed sipping my cocktail for a few minutes before my meal arrived.

Robert A.

Yelp
Food, Service, and Ocean View are awesome. Food is amazing, fresh, and very tasty. The atmosphere is very soothing and the experience of dining by the ocean is very pleasant. Charlie is the best!
google avatar

Melody V.

Yelp
Could not have asked for a better first meal in Kuaui! The restroom looks like a casual beachy hotel restaurant but the menu has some really interesting and complex dishes. We got the poke to start with and Charlie our server did a Dana tasting job of explaining the farm to table aspect of the restaurant. He was able to break down each ingredient of just the poke. We were super impressed. The poke itself is insanely delicious and a must try. For our entree we got the short rib with truffle rice which was decadent and savory. We're only here for a week but will definitely be back!
google avatar

Ky H.

Yelp
The food was good, but not worth how pricey it was. Don't get me wrong: my girlfriend and I were satisfied (our server was great, and the live band was excellent), but the food was a bit overhyped in my humble opinion. Still, it's a beautiful restaurant, and the beach view is great. Definitely a place to check out if you have the money to do so!

Matt E.

Yelp
We didn't have a reservation so we had to wait for a few minutes, but the staff got us a table inside and the server (who was also the bartender) did a fantastic job. The food was better than expected, and my 10 year old who has never liked fish, tried the kids fish meal and she loved it! I had the seared ahi cooked medium rare and it was only half as good as the mashed sweet potatoes that must have had 14 sticks of butter. My wife had the filet which she ordered medium, but it showed up well done. Even being over cooked, she liked the sauce it came with.
