How the Protests in Santiago, Chile, Are Impacting Travelers
"Slowly, all of the places that were closed are starting to open their doors since the curfew and state of emergency were lifted, including most restaurants and shops. Popular sights, like the Santiago Cable Car, are opening on a case-by-case basis, usually with military guards out front."
It was a little difficult to purchase tickets but we were finally able to purchase them once we had walk to the top, we took it back down

15mts walk from the Costanera shopping mall. You can buy a ticket for the cable car going up and a return on the Funicular. Cost CP 2600 for seniors. Great view from the cable car going up.

The teleférico has a nice view. There’s line but it’s quick. Better to buy tickets there rather than online.

Perched atop the hill, the breathtaking panoramic vista unfolds before your eyes, a tapestry of nature's grandeur. The cable car gently ascends, offering a serene journey amidst the scenery. At the summit, one is greeted by a symphony of sights, a reminder of the awe-inspiring majesty of the world.

I had a great trip on the cable car and enjoyed the views from the top.
There was a short queue which staff quickly and efficiently assisted into the lift.
I bought the round trip and went straight to the top then stopped halfway down to explore, then continued back down.

Such a beautiful place with an amazing view. I highly recommend taking the cable car up and back down. It’s a relaxing ride that I think has the best views. They have nice little gift shops and places you can get snacks. The view from the top is incredible, I would give yourself plenty of time to just sit there and enjoy the view. There are a bunch of stray cats and kittens running around that are all so sweet! I highly recommend coming here, I would go again. It’s a necessity for anyone that visits Santiago.

Amazing view, family friendly and fun times. Ride the cable car to the top to experience an amazing view of the whole city. Cable cars are clean and well maintained. No A/C but the windows have tint and there are vents to allow air through. Even when it was 94°F it was comfortable inside. There are bathrooms, shade, seats, foods and drinks at the top.
