Oasis station. Cerro San Cristobal Cable Car

This is a pretty touristy thing to do, but I am so glad my friend Sydney and I did it. The cable car is super quiet and very calming to be in. We bought a round trip ticket and went up to the top of the mountain to see the Virgin Mary (the big statue). On our way to the top, we were in cable car by ourselves. On the way down, we were put in a cable car with two other strangers (a couple from Toronto). I am sure if you wanted to be in cable car by yourself, you can just ask the staff working there. We went on a Saturday around noon and surprisingly, it wasn’t insanely busy.

I don’t like heights but am so glad that I faced my fears and took the cable car. The panoramic and diverse views of Santiago are amazing. It was one of the highlights of my trip to South America.

This well worth your time. There are great views as well as a nice chapel at the base of the Virgin Mary statue. We recommend the venicular to go up and the sky tram to come down.

This is a fantastic ride for sweeping views of Santiago and andes. There are two ways of going about it. Take the cable car up and funicular down or vice versa. Very much worth the trip! On top of the hill is the statue of the Virgin and beautiful views

It was a little difficult to purchase tickets but we were finally able to purchase them once we had walk to the top, we took it back down
