If you’re reading this, you are wasting time. Just GO! Pull out a dollar bill and ink away. Large portions, good for sharing. Staff seem happy to be there; excellent service. It’s been an over a year since my visit; I was just reminiscing looking through old photos and wanted to share my good time spent here. Kudos!

I like the historic vibes but I don’t think I’ll be eating here anymore. I sat with a party of 7 but we had separate bills - split into 3. I was charged 53$ for me and my daughter and her friend.. they automatically charge you a gratuity fee if you’re sitting in a large party. I asked the server even if the bills are split?? I only fed 3 people including myself. She said “oh well it’s how the system works it automatically says u have a party of 7” well then get it fixed because that’s bullshit. Therefore I didn’t tip. They charged me $10.37 gratitude fee on a 56$ bill after tax and they charge 2.00+ if you’re using a card. Food was basic, nothing great nothing awful. I won’t be back there to eat. Couldn't believe it. They’ll tell you all about their pulled pork sandwich but won’t tell you they charge you to sit and eat there food to.

My friend and I visited midday on Thursday, 10/16/25, and it was busy. We ordered burgers with chips which were very good. The table next to us highly recommended the carrot cake and fudge saying they were freshly made on location. My friend had the carrot cake and I had the fudge. They were also very scrumptious. The place was very unique with defaced one dollar bills everywhere. Neat place to see!

Bartender was adorable and awesome… A back in time dirt road adventure in the side by side. Hadn’t been to Jerome in almost 30 years. Town is not much different than it used to be outside of higher prices and less friendly. This place, “The Oatman Restaurant” was a place we came 30 years ago. Still a Great place to come and just have an ice cold beverage back in time. Enjoy the burrows and local sideshows. Just keep an eye on your belongings as it is a heavy tourist location.

Stumbled upon this town totally accidentally. Had just given the last of my water to a stray dog. My partner and I were so desperate for water and we went in, explained the situation and asked if we could possibly just have some tap water even though we wouldn’t be staying for food or drink. The hostess refused my offer of money and handed us each 2 large takeaway cups of water filled to the brim with ice and water. The decor was so cool and this was the only place in this town where my partner and I (a very clearly queer couple) felt at ease. Thank you guys so much. Your kindness and generosity was truly appreciated more than you know

Google
What a fun and unforgettable stop! The Oatman Hotel & Restaurant is a place you’ll never want to forget. The staff are incredibly friendly, the food is good, and the prices are very reasonable. But what really makes this place special is the ambience — it’s pure Old West charm from the moment you step inside. Between the historic walls, the dollar bills covering everything, and the lively cowboy atmosphere, it’s an experience you just have to see for yourself. Come hungry, come curious, and come get your cowboy on!

Google
Very cool establishment. Found a $1 from 1982. Food was really good. Little tough to find a table because my daughter and I didn’t want to occupy a four person or more table as they were crowded. We scored a two person table in the bar area. For as busy as it was, service was really quick. Definitely will go back. Food was really good also. Very juicy burger and burro ears were a good side.

Google
This great little watering hole is in the cutest town on Route 66. The bartender was so attentive and friendly. All the customers are pretty friendly too. What a great atmosphere. Highly recommend!!! (It's called a Hotel, but this is just a drinking/eating establishment)

Yelp
Listen- I'm new 'round these parts, so I'm not entirely sure if this still operates as a place to hang your hat or showing off something that once was. The place is plenty cool. The restaurant has real dollar bills wallpapering the place top to bottom. How they don't all fall off is beyond me, but if you pull them off you get your thumbs cut off! Or is that only in Vegas? Anyway, the menu is straightforward and i had one of the best tasting burgers during my visit. Couple that with some old west hospitality and you've got yourself a very enjoyable day. We love the Burros, they're sweet. Except for the one that stole by bag of candy! lol. Oatman as a whole was such a fun AND ICONIC place. Akin to the old Bonnie Springs in Nevada they have a 'shootout' show and many old timey shops where you can buy tokens of remembrance of your visit. i cannot stop thinking about this town and how i want to go back,

Yelp
Explored the town of Oatman Arizona to see the famous burros and have lunch at the only restaurant in the town. The Oatman Hotel is a restaurant and bar right in the middle of the one street town. I ordered the burro ears as an appetizer, which are homemade potato chips with a homemade dipping sauce. The portion was so big, the two of us couldn't finish it. They were tasty and unique to this restaurant. I've had homemade potato chips before at other places, but these have a flavor that I can't really describe. My wife and I had the grilled ham and cheese sandwich. It was a good ole fashioned sandwich full of flavor. I wish I would have had the chili, but I learned about it after I already ate. People I spoke to raved about it. The staff was friendly and attentive to our table. Our drinks were filled and the order arrived quickly. Oatman is in the middle of nowhere. The food isn't cheap, but it's the only game in town. Given that it is a tourist trap, prices are a bit elevated, but it's not over the top like other places I've been. A party of two can expect a forty dollar or so check check (January 2025). After walking around the town and feeding the burros, we went back to the bar for a drink. It's a small bar with about 10 seats at the rail. Lots of creative drinks and a good selection of beer, both draft and bottle. The liquor selection is also pretty good and the bartender was knowledgeable in mixed drinks. This restaurant is unique. There are thousands of dollar bills on the walls and it decorated in old West curios. Definitely a place for those who like unique restaurants and old West towns.

Yelp
I went to the restaurant at around 2:00 with a group of people and we got an open table outside right away. The tables were practically falling apart and the menus haven't been cleaned since the day they opened, however we were hungry and it's the only restaurant in town. The waitress was nice enough at first and we ordered our food with our drinks right when she showed up hoping to be out quickly. We got our drinks right away and decorated a few dollars to hang up however after waiting over an hour and still not receiving our food it started getting colder out and we asked to move inside. The waitress declined our request to move so we stayed put after being promised our food would be out within the next couple minutes. Now at 3:30 hungry and cold we went inside to hang up our dollars and planed on leaving. All of a sudden tables were open and we were offered a warmer place to sit down. Once we got settled the waitresses started talking shit about us for moving and made it clear with dirty looks and not so quietly speaking about it directly behind us. We ordered 7 plates and no more than 2 came out at a time. The buffalo burger we ordered took almost 2 and a half hours to come out. We didn't get our check till after 5:00 The portions and food were mediocre, definitely not worth the wait. The cleanliness overall was concerning as we never saw a wet cloth come out to clean a table nor any trash on the floor be picked up. We got charged a 18% gratuity with under 8 people in our group after a waitress overheard a comment made about not leaving a tip. Professionalism, cleanliness, respect, good food in general, dont expect any of it here! You reap what u sow and thoes waitresses need a good donkey kick!!

Yelp
The burger and burro ears were delicious. This was a cute little restaurant. There wasn't anything amazing about the food but being one of the only places in town to have a sit down meal, this was great!
google avatar

Tiffiny K.

Yelp
The food was fine nothing to write home about but after a long day of driving around it's nice to be able to sit down and have a warm cooked meal and the sodas were great and refreshing. Service was friendly So the idea of having all of the dollar bills stapled to the walls is pretty cool but once you're actually sitting in a room surrounded by filthy dollar bills all over the walls you don't want to touch them.

Yelp
Awesome place to eat during a trip to Oatman. Food was great and big portions. Also has a small museum upstairs. Awesome old-time experience.
google avatar

Heather D.

Yelp
Interesting place to stop in for a drink after the "gunfight" out front. We didn't eat anything here, but we tried a couple cocktails. The service was laid-back, but friendly. The restroom situation could use some work. It was a "one holer" and not very clean.
google avatar

Yelp
What a great place to visit with friends. You can walk and shop through the town. I stopped by the Oatman hotel and had breakfast. The be pancakes were B large and the bar was great. Bartender was fun and informative our friends from out of town had a blast. Don't forget to spot at the cream shop located in the hotel. Thrifty ice cream is what is served.. I always stop by to get a scoop in a waffle cone. Nice old town look.

Yelp
My husband and I eat here at least once a month. The food and service are cool beans. Went for breakfast for the first time. It was awesome!!

Yelp
No issues here. Good food and not overpriced. 3 of us ate for $50. Really cool interior with dollar bills everywhere. See our YouTube channel Coolest Life

Yelp
We stopped in Oatman for the day decided to eat at the Oatman hotel, honestly there was no other place to eat Cool little restaurant very crowded and loud Money everywhere don't know what that's for Waitress was extremely sweet even with it a mad house gave us the specials of the day We ordered a couple of drinks and food Shot was delicious! Food was okay not the best burger lacking in flavor Mozzarella sticks really good But was a good vibe fun experience

Yelp
My brother and I came here on July 4th to see the annual egg fry. Since we had an hour to kill we bellied up the bar inside the hotel. It was 108 degrees out side but they had the AC cranking in the bar. The bartender was friendly and the tap beer was ice cold. The restaurant next door was packed and my brother and I decided that the next time we come to Oatman that we would try the restaurant. The bartender was kind enough to let us look over the menu. The food that we saw people eating looked good. Love the money all over the bar and restaurant walls and ceiling.

Yelp
Loved the food, the service was amazing, the prices where good, i would definitely recommended stomping to eat at the restaurant

Yelp
This is the only sit down restaurant with table service in all of Oatman. It's a fun place to eat but the options are pretty typical sandwiches. The burro ears are a must (hand cut fried potato chips). The are attached to a full service bar. Slight discount. Don't forget to post a dollar to the wall and be a part of this historic experience at the oldest building in Mohave county. Don't forget to go upstairs to see the Clark Gable honeymoon room.

Karen H.

Yelp
If you want to take a trip back in time, the food is awesome, the hotel was constructed in the late 1894, some where don't quote me, Clark Gable was married in this Hotel. Wow you also take one dollar bill and sign your name on it and pin it to the wall, the whole place is covered with dollar bills. Their is a guitar player singing Willie Nelson songs. he was fantastic. it was all rustic and was great. The whole town is not that big, it has wild donkey's walking around the streets and you can feed them. Saving the best for last, I had my first buffalo burger, wow it was better than hamburger, it was great. and I also had burro ears, wait a minute, not real buffalo ears. They were potato chips shaped like ears. It was fantastic. Our server was Andy, she was great, she looked like a cowgirl, and she made every thing fun, you should try it. Its worth the drive. Thank you Karen Herrold

Renee B.

Yelp
Food was decent but nothing special. It was New Year's Day and the only place open. The atmosphere is unique and it was cool to see a piece of history. We forgot to go upstairs to visit the honeymoon suite so I can't review that. The service was friendly like a small town dinet

Joel R.

Yelp
First time here, at the Hotel/Restaurant. Our server, Sue was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was delicious as well! We'll be back soon!!

Yelp
Great atmosphere and food is very good! I recommend the burro ears with garlic and cheese to start!

Yelp
I love historical stories. And this places is something that I have read about so many times. And actually being able to see it in person was really nice.

Brent H.

Yelp
If I could give this place a zero I would. The staff was rude to say the least. Food came out not how we ordered as was charge for it. I couldn't get a soda refill from the 2 ladies bring out our food and was told "where not your server". They also made a loud announcement outside to everyone about something that supposedly occurred at 1 table vs addressing the one table. How rude was that. Totally unprofessional. I will never go back and recommend no one ever go there.
google avatar

Yelp
This is the only place in Oatman to get food. I had gotten there on the early side, so grabbed breakfast. The menu has all the usuals you would expect for b'fast, except maybe biscuits & gravy. I thought it was somewhat pricey, but portions are generous. In spite of it being morning (9:30) other patrons were drinking hard liquor. Service was good. There were about a dozen people having breakfast and the gal working continually checked on everyone. I had a short stack of pancakes (huge) and could only eat half. They were fluffy & sweet. That and a Coke was $12.90. The entire inside is plastered with dollar bills. It's not huge inside. I am sure it is loud when it's full. Would definitely like to try lunch here.

Yelp
We do Oatman several times a year, t-day weekend was a zoo, shoulda known this, but the weather was epic so we went. Strolled into the place around noon, gunfight was happing outside, and we got lucky and found a nice corner booth in view of the stage. Waitress was on us in seconds and was so pleasant and friendly and attentive she got a fat ass cash tip! Drinks and beers were good, drinks seemed like a decent pour. Price on the drinks, eh... but its fjb economy so whats one to do right. Anyways, back to the review. The food was very typical pub grub, not bad, but not great. I'm easy when it comes to pub grub so take that with a grain of salt. The burger was fine, the chicken sandwich was very dry, and a cup of soap, so-so tasting. Clam chowder. We did a plate of fries, those were good as well. Hey folks, its Oatman and its a bar basically. Order drinks and be marry! The service was spot on from start to finish and everyone was super friendly, no complaints. ...and the bathroom was sorta clean, but not dirty. Did I mention it is in Oatman?

Dakota S.

Yelp
My family and I came and it was my first time coming in this restaurant and also will be my last. We came in and went right for the bar to order drinks for everyone. That was fine the bartender was super nice had brunette hair but afterwards we went down to the restaurant area and I made the mistake of moving 1 table to another table of 6 for my family of 10 people. This heavier set blonde came unglued that I moved a single table for my family instead of inconveniencing her of doing it for us. She yelled at me and said we do not just go around moving tables. Then said I do not come into your house and move your furniture so don't do it here. So I moved it back and told my family looks like we will be sitting at 2 different tables. This lady continued to yell at me when I simply just walked outside because i was done being treated so poorly. I decided to take my money where it was wanted unlike this place. I believe her name was Andy someone else said her name. I was so disappointed in this place only because of her service and treating us so poorly. I just threw my beer away while the rest of my family sat at 2 different tables just to finish their beers so they didn't go to waste and then we all left. Not to mention we were all hungry so we were gonna all order food and more drinks so a lot of money would have been spent if she didn't scare us off. The next day my boyfriend came to use the restroom in there and she acted once again like we were an inconvenience to her by simply asking to use the restroom. This lady continues to treat people poorly and I had to write this in hopes that the owner will see this and do something about it because he is loosing money over having rude staff. I'd love to go there again as the restaurant itself was awesome but if she's there I take my money elsewhere where it is wanted! Thanks for listening to my rant!

Yelp
Food was good but nothing special. The atmosphere was really cool. Plus, it's the only restaurant in town. Added bonus was live entertainment.

Yelp
We came in here to visit and eat the ice cream. Great little route 66 western town to visit and see wild burros.

r b.

Yelp
It was our first time eating there...excellent service; really amazing server. Food was good. Full bar. Good kid's menu. Super kitchy...prices were "ok" (a bit high but to be expected in a tourist location). Pulled pork was excellent, chicken tenders were really good...the soup wasn't great so I won't do that again. But we will be back; a fun experience.

Yelp
First of all, this is a tourist attraction town, and the Oatman Hotel is the only place in town to get something to eat. If you come on a weekend, it will be packed, and you may have to wait for a table. The food is nothing to rave about. Pretty basic sandwiches, french fries, potato chips, etc etc. It's the atmosphere that people come here for. There are dollar bills from passing visitors stapled up all over the inside of the bar and restaurant. There are markers and a stapler on the counter so you can help yourself and leave your mark behind. As of 3 months ago (give or take) the place is said to have approximately half a million in dollars hanging up. You can see that some are now rotting. It was not full when we passed through on a Monday early afternoon, so we had our choice of where to sit, and were greeted immediately upon walking in. Brandy, our server was as cute as a button and very nice. The prices are reasonable for it being a tourist destination.

Yelp
Fun spot! Good ice cream and cool character. The bills on the walls and ceilings. The people are great too

Yelp
Perfect texture not at all watery or too thick. The seasoning is well over adequate I enjoyed every moment of each bite. 5 stars

CorAnn M.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, great food, great service. A must stop if you're an Oatman, Az Even put a dollar bill on the wall with your signature
google avatar

Cathi S.

Yelp
This was a fun place to stop for lunch. So many surfaces are covered with money, most with notes identifying the people that placed the bills. This is a popular place immediately following the bank robbery shoot out on the street outside. Watch your footing , this is an old building with small elevation changes marked with yellow paint. I have dietary restrictions so found the chicken on my salad to be very try. DH had a burger and it was okay. The fries were coated and crispy.

Yanka D.

Yelp
Minimal effort menu for tourist. Need another resturant to offer a choice. We'll be back only for the Burros. Burro expert
google avatar

Amy K.

Yelp
I came here with my husband. It was his first time in Oatman, and he loved it. At the hotel bar, we ordered beers and a chili dog. Great atmosphere. It's a fun place to visit. The bartender was really nice, too.

Yelp
Ambiance is phenomenal!!! They had a live music performer singing and dollar bills look like moss on the walls. Their carrot cake is fantastic. Had the buffalo burger with chips. Buffalo burger was decent. Boyfriend had the pulled pork sandwich and it was very good! His came with burro ears and they were homemade chips with a sauce of salsa and sour cream. This place is located on one of the most amazing streets ever filled with gunfights if you time it right and groovy shopping and Wild West goodness.

Yelp
Visited 5/25/2022 Great place to visit. The Hotel has a working bar with cold beer and cocktails and the restaurant has tasty food such as Buffalo Burgers, homemade potato chips, and much more on the menu. The inside has its walls and ceiling covered with $1.00 bills signed by lots of visitors over the years. When you visit go to the bar, sign your dollar bills and staple them among what is rumored to be over 1 million other bills hanging inside this historic hotel. Grab a cold one and a snack and take a bunch of pictures to show your friends back home. Enjoy My Friends.

Yelp
If you could see into the backrooms you'd never eat here again. Good cooks, and thats about it. Piss poor management and high prices.

Yelp
You won't find a quirkier place. The food and service are great ! Be sure to sign a dollar bill for the wall

Yelp
Worth a stop if you're in Oatman! UPSTAIRS: -Make sure you check out the hotel room where Clark Gable and Carole Lombard spent their wedding night. It's visible through the door. It's more profound if you think about Lombard's tragic death in a plane crash, only a couple years after the wedding. She rushed home to Gable (rejecting a multiple-day train ride as an option) after a war fundraising effort. The plane smashed into a mountain, killing everyone on board. Gable would remarry twice but he is buried next to Carole. -Gift shop. RESTAURANT: -Really cool and super divey decor (the walls are completely covered with signed dollar bills). Cozy. -Friendly service. My waitress forgot about me initially but was super apologetic and very attentive thereafter. -Decent food although nothing particularly memorable. The buffalo burger was alright. The burro ears are a cute addition to your meal. They're just potato chips but they're pretty tasty. Skip the grilled garlic on top (it's the sort from a jar). There aren't many options for food in town and this might be your best bet.

Yelp
The historic Oatman Hotel is actually a restaurant and ice cream/souvenir shop. It's best to break this one down: RESTAURANT - The service was verrrry slow. Yes, I should have been very aware that as one of two places to eat in a town that draws many tourists, service (as in what I'm used to at most places) that I take for granted can be hard to come by. The restaurant was nearly filled up by 11:30am, and it took me 20 minutes to get seated. For whatever reason, the host didn't see me and seated people who came in after me! But I didn't want to raise hell since it looked like they were very shortstaffed. I don't know how many people were in the place but it was getting packed. I wasn't really hungry, so I got the chili cheese fries plate, which was great. Server was very friendly and he apologized repeatedly for my wait. Wish I woulda gotten the burro ears, as it is their specialty. (No, they are not real ears!) HISTORY - But on the flip side, it is definitely worth stopping to take a look around inside the place. It was originally called the Durlin Hotel, and it has stood in Oatman since 1924 (well, actually it was built in 1901, but was destroyed by fire in 1921 and eventually rebuilt). Oatman has its own interesting history, with this building being no exception. This is where movie stars Clark Gable and Carole Lombard spent their honeymoon after getting married in nearby Kingman, Arizona. You can still view their room upstairs, which has been restored to what it may have looked like in the late-1930s. It is said that their giggles haunt the building at night, as well as other spirits. Gable actually returned to the hotel in later years to play poker with the miners. So about the "dollar bills thing": it was common for miners who drank at this place to leave their dollar bills on the wall and ceiling with their names on them just in case they were short on cash. The tradition still continues today, with hundreds of $1 bills all over the place! Yes, I left my mark. I even saw $5 and $20 bills on the wall too. Don't be that person who steals them.

Yelp
5 stars for everything but the political propaganda. Enjoyed the food. Enjoyed the place. Loved the donkeys. Left some dollars of our own. Will go back for sure!
google avatar

Christina A.

Yelp
The foood is good. But the service sucks. The waitress was rude and condescending. Not much ambiance or space for that matter. I do recommend getting a fresh lemonade from the cart down the street.

Elsa B.

Yelp
The hamburger bun was very cold. The food was average. When we asked the manager if they could remake the burger, she said no and said she would only give 10% off the burger because we ate the patty. The manager lacks customer service. The waitress was super nice. We will still be back because the waitress was awesome.

Yelp
What a place, what a town, what a FUN place to explore and kick back to the old West times. We were out-of-towners in Bullhead City and all the natives told us to explore Oatman. We didn't know what to expect, but what a great time it was! We ended up in the Oatman Hotel and when we walked in, the ambiance, décor, and just pure historic aurora made us want to sit down and enjoy a nice meal together. It was FANTASTIC. The Burro Ears are a must, the Buffalo Burger was so flavorful, and the staff was top notch. If you're on your way to explore Oatman, make the Hotel & Saloon a mandatory stop!

Kenneth V.

Yelp
Set at the bar had the pulled pork sandwich and homemade potato chips . Chips were really good Server was friendly.

Tina S.

Yelp
The food is good and the service is great. I eat there every chance I get the town is wonderful exciting.

Brandon S.

Yelp
Place was very busy, but the wife and I got lucky when we walked in and were directed to a table-for-two right away. Burgers were good, fun atmosphere, zero cell service.
google avatar

Ken S.

Yelp
Can you say great ambience? Great burgers! Super friendly service! An absolutely wonderful time! We were recommended to the restaurant by the resident blacksmith and we're extremely happy we went! Enjoyed a double buffalo burger, which absolutely ROCKED! Great town for tourists and bargain hunters alike! The ambience here was wonderful with thousands and thousands of one dollar bills hanging on the walls that were signed by previous customers. Probably not a town I'd like to visit in the middle of summer, but nonetheless, the temperatures in April were fantastic. The resident donkeys were fantastic. Everyone and all the artisan shops were super friendly. Just a wonderful place to play tourist! Highly recommend to all!

Yelp
I ordered sandwich no onions got sandwich WITH onions did not eat told waitress owner said I had to pay for it anyways. Poor customer service ever. Do not eat here

Yelp
Always such a fun experience coming to Oatman. We make sure to always stop at the Oatman Hotel and have a drink and meal here. The food is good and the drinks are cold. Perfect place to cool off in the summer months up here and enjoy the music and hustle and bustle of a old Town saloon. If anyone comes to visit us we are always making up trip up to show them this awesome little town. We highly recommend visiting and stopping in here for lunch. Service is great and the experience is fun! Also the awesome bartender participates in the western shoot out! Will not disappoint!!
