"Located in a small and charming street, Ob-La-Di is a very cozy little coffee shop just a step away from the main street. It offers great breakfast with authentic and homegrown food (avocado French toast, scones, yogurt with granola, berries...) and the coffee is excellent as well. There sitting arrangements inside are very limited but the place is decorated with taste: beautiful Mediterranean inspired white and blue tiles, wood, small tables and large stools, a large mirror, fresh flowers and a row of home-made apricot jam jars." - Say What Studio

The oat latte and v60 were both exceptional. And you can ask for ice too. The seating is great and the barista is friendly and efficient.

A tiny little cafe with great vibe - industrial+minimalist. The banana cake is heavenly good, so is the tea and cookies and avo toast. Impossible to get a space on weekends. Lots of other Japanese theme shops nearby. The cherry scones are so good. The hot chocolate with oatmilk is so smooth.

Google
Nice little coffee shop. Although, it can only seat a handful of people, the atmosphere is very nice and cozy. As a student, it would probably hard to fully study there but some light work is possible. The coffee is really tasty and it’s possible to eat a little something. I really enjoyed it !

Google
Incredible coffee with attention to detail, definitely the best I’ve had in France. Friendly staff who go out of their way to make your experience comfortable and it’s located in a cute Rue. I’ll be back for sure, especially as it’s vegan friendly and environmentally friendly.

Cool music playing, nice people here. That scone there is delicious

Google
Small place with very little breakfast options. Basically, avocado on bread and scones. That's it. The coffee is fine. Bottom line, not recommended

Google
Loved this place I come every time I’m in Paris. The cafe creme and avocado toast are amazing! And the banana bread is the best in town. They also have a cookie that’s very unique and tasty!!

Yelp
Ob-la-di was the very first spot my partner and I went to after arriving in Paris and checking into our hotel in Marais. It is a very small, but cozy cafe with a variety of delicious beverages, pastries, and some savory foods. When we first got there, we made our best attempt to transact in French, but the staff behind the counter instantly started speaking English with us. Whether that was out of kindness or our lack of fluency (or both), it was much appreciated. We got matcha latte's and a sort of salad bowl with lots of grains. It was just the right amount of food and caffeine to pull us out of our jet lag stupor. But even if we weren't so tired, we could have very easily hung out their and enjoyed the ambiance for a while. Definitely recommend for a light meal and/or coffee tea, either by yourself or with another (though not a good place for groups.)

Yelp
Sweet, tiny place with delicious plant-based toasts, teas, baked goods, bowls, and good music playing in the background. There are a few counter seats and a few tables for two. It was the perfect spot to grab a quick bite while exploring the Marais.

Yelp
A small cafe in Marais that I thoroughly enjoyed! The cafe decor was very pretty and the service here was super kind and very attentive. We got the Tartine Avocat (avocado toast) with a poached egg, as well as two lattes. The lattes were very good and if you are able to, try out the latte with oat milk - I found that I ended up liking the oat milk latte a bit more than with original milk! The avocado toast was so good. It was on a pretty thick piece of bread, with plentiful avocado, and sprinkled with some pomegranate seeds. The poached egg was cooked to perfection and oozed out so nicely. Probably one of the best avocado toasts I've ever had. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Delicious cortado and iced latte! Gorgeous outdoor patio to sip and enjoy. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Perfect and uncomplicated- little café in the Marais that has a couple good breakfast options. Great coffee, friendly staff. It's tiny with not so many places to sit, but the vibe is definitely French. Popular for English speakers in Paris.

Yelp
J'aime beaucoup! Friendly staff and amazing food/coffee. They have oatly oak milk!! Such a jolie cafe but really petit. The server/barista was so so friendly! I asked her for recommendations for places to shop and wrote me a list and explained everything kindly. Felt truly welcomed and would recommend this to allllllllll my friends. Xoxo.

Yelp
Ob-la-di Ob-la-da Life goes on... well, actually life just got better after our experience at this gem of a coffee shop in Paris! Warm and bright atmosphere with great coffee table books to flip through such as the one that was titled The Art of the Leather Biker Jacket (or something like that) and another with photographs from the Beatles era. The best parts of course were the coffee and food! What we ordered: Lattes - Smooth, rich and delicious! Poached Egg w/ Avocat & Kale - Wow! Healthy and packed with fresh flavor. Tartine Avocat - Incredible! I think this was my favorite. Lots of avocado on fresh bread with pomegranate seeds on top. During our recent 4 days in Paris, we came here 2 days in a row because of how good the food was, and I craved all the avocado goodness! The baristas were very friendly, and the cafe itself is quaint and beautiful. Another thing that was great was their Fig Quinoa Gluten-free Granola, which they also sold in tall mason jars. Definitely had to get one of those too which also made for a great little keepsake or gift to take back home. Merci beaucoup Ob-La-Di for making our hearts and tastebuds sing!

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed this place. The staff was utterly sweet, attentive and understanding of my inability to speak French. There was a kind gentleman in particular (I didn't catch his name) but he was amazing. I had a matcha latte with oat milk and coconut yogurt & granola. It was delightful. If I ever return to Paris I will definitely pay a visit and I will without a doubt recommend the cafe to my friends. Merci

Yelp
I got an avocado toast with a matcha latte. It was very delicious, the toast taste better than how it looks. The restaurant is pretty small so you better have patience to find a place to seat and be able to order. The place is located in a pretty cool area, different shops and restaurants around. Would definitely come back!
google avatar

Yelp
It's normal. Less then we excepted. It looks better then it taste. I was exciting American style brunch. So for two girls, we actually order quite a bit.
google avatar

Yelp
They make a very tasty cappuccino in a comfortable but tight little space. Lots of folks who knew each other tended to serendipitously meet/congregate here. It was sweet and that made the coffee even better.
google avatar

Yelp
Very nice place to have breakfast! Friendly staff and good music. It's a tiny place but people go in and out all the time so it's easy to get a place. I took the green tea that was very tasty as well as the avocado toast which I would strongly recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
A great place for a spot of healthy lunch with staff that are super English friendly. The Tartine (toast) are amazing with fresh toppings like fresh goat's cheese, figs and dried cranberries. Great coffee and requesting black Tea with milk doesn't get you a free raising of a French eyebrow!

Yelp
Oh my godddddd. Thank the gods that this place exists in Paris. Where do I even begin? Tucked away on a quiet street in the Marais, this coffee shop offers a quiet and cozy place, possibly the best coffee I've ever had and malt certainly the best in Paris, friendly employees (Barista is American!!), delicious and healthy food for a reasonable price (not to mention also beautiful), and quick service. My friends and showed up around 1 pm and we didn't have any difficulties getting a table. We all ordered a latte and a different tartine. The latte was 5€ but it was exquisite. Rich and foamy like velvet. The art was good too. Then came out our food by the nice guy in the kitchen. My avocado toast (9€) came on thick bread with a nice, almost generous, spread of avocado and this dark pesto and pomegranate. Wonderful wonderful. Two friends ordered the poached egg for 10€ which looked good too, on a different type of bread. Another friend got the date and cheese for 8€ which also came with nuts and looked great. They have baked goods that look scrumptious and even a burger. I'll be a repeat visitor here because it really is that good. Come here early to grab a seat!!!

Yelp
The other reviews sum up this place, I won't say the same thing over again... What I will add is the service is impeccable, friendly and clean. The laid back vibe is commendable. Rumour has it, if you have a dog, you enter a secret society where any dog owner is your friend. Ob-La-Di has the same code! Thanks for the lovely food and coffee! Over and out! Tip.. For chocoholics, the cookie! Kenyan blend Coffee beans were used to make my Cuppacino... So richly smooth and nutty.

Yelp
If you're looking for a REALLY good latte in the Le Marais quarter, you need to come here. We weren't planning to come here, but it was pouring outside. The service was amazing, the staff was nice and the free wifi much appreciated. We didn't get to try the avocado toast, as we'd just had lunch before coming here, but it looked absolutely delicious. Next time I'm in Paris, I'll come back to try that avo toast! :)
google avatar

Brie R.

Yelp
Went here for breakfast, it was amazing! My wife got the avacado toast and it was delicious. They changed the menu about a week ago so I couldn't get the tartine poached egg that everyone is buzzing about. I got a lightly toasted bagel with fresh hummus spread with a perfectly poached egg on top, all of this was laid on a lebonse cucumber salad. It was so fresh and lite, really refreshing. We will be back before our trip is over. The coffee was lovely!

Yelp
One of the most Instagrammed cafes in Paris. It is tucked away and easy to miss while walking down the street. Look for a taco shop next door and for Ob-la-di's signature white and blue flooring. Seating is very limited (maybe 12 people maximum), but it is a sweet space to hang out at. - Wifi: Ask for password Outlets: One seen near the bar seating Hours: Mon-Fri 8a-5p, Sat/Sun 9a-6p Menu: Coffee, tea, pastries, toast (their avo is popular), granola, salad Noise: 8/10 on a weekday afternoon

Yelp
This place is wonderful! It has been on my list for a while. Finally made it today. The tartine is delicious and the chai seed pudding was perfect!! If you haven't been, go!!!
google avatar

Yelp
This was the best breakfast we had in Paris. They had a great menu featuring fresh, in season options. Service was excellent and the staff was very personal
google avatar

Yelp
Great coffee, cool atmosphere, foodporn style dishes. Good both for breakfast or a coffee break.
google avatar

Raquel M.

Yelp
Best oat milk matcha latte in Paris! We tried three other non dairy matcha lattes while we were there and none of them achieved Ob-la-Di's balance of both creamy and vegetal notes. I will be back anytime we're in Paris just for a matcha. My husband had a smoothie bowl with blue spirulina which he somewhat enjoyed. My avocado toast with a poached egg was far better. I was skeptical about the addition of pomegranate arils to avocado toast but they proved to be a muted accent. I can recommend what I ordered without hesitation and I look forward to returning!
google avatar

Brad B.

Yelp
We found this from an article in French Vogue. Small but comfortable. Tiny selection but delicious home-baked pastries and espressos.
google avatar

Melissa C.

Yelp
I had very high expectations considering all the raving reviews. I was a tad disappointed though. I came in for a quick breakfast before site seeing. Coming from NYC, the land of everything avocado, I've had my fair share of Avo toast. The pomegranate seeds add a nice touch of sweetness and crunch and the drizzle of chimmichurri sauce is very creative and different. Also had the matcha green tea chocolate cake. I love anything matcha so I enjoyed it but it was definitely on the dry side. Not to worry though, that's why you have coffee. The cappuccino was very very good. Service is friendly. There are only 4 tiny tables and a tiny bar that seats 4. It's a very cramped space so make sure you get there early if you want a seat.
google avatar

Yelp
Incredibly cozy place that isn't to be outdone by a warm staff and superb coffee. The Tartine with poached eggs is a an must try ! If you're into pastries there's generally an assortment to try from. The scones are delicious but for those with a sweet tooth I definitely recommend the the pistachio cake (BEWARE: Very Sweet). If you're an American visiting do not expect to be overly full. The food is light and perfect to keep you going about your day.
google avatar

Jon E.

Yelp
This place perfectly executes on the Yelp tourism plan. Amazing decor? Check. Super super friendly to English speaking tourists? Check. Super pretty food? Check. Though something got lost in the translation because now there's a restaurant in Paris packed with English speakers eating toast with avocado on it for €10. €10 for toast! It's ridiculous. This should not be a thing.
google avatar

J S.

Yelp
We really enjoyed this place. The avocado toast is very tasty. We also had the ricotta toast with toasted fruit, which was delicious. It is quite small, so don't expect to come in a huge group. We (two people) came in the early morning, and had no problems, but I could see an issue with a group of 5+. Service was good. They were friendly to me even though the only thing I can say in french is "I don't speak french."
google avatar

Alex L.

Yelp
Great little breakfast place. Has limited seating with excellent food and coffee. This one man show also speaks English. Highly recommend the tarine poached egg and the avocado toast. They are delicious and house made.
google avatar

Noa R.

Yelp
Very cute, small coffee shop with delicious breakfast food and coffee. The service was nice if not overly quick, quite reasonable at a busy hour. I had an excellent poached egg toast and my partner got the avocado toast. The avocado toast was my favourite, two very well composed slices of toast with avocado, chimchurry and pomegranate. The coffee to go with it was very well done. All in all, an excellent start to a day of touristing.
google avatar

Tony J.

Yelp
Very much a small local spot. The food was unique, fresh and heathy. We were looking for a light brunch away from the touristy cafes and this was perfect. I had the avocado and poached eggs. Highly recommended.
google avatar

Francesca G.

Yelp
I came back recently with my mom for a quick pre-work breakfast (they open at 8 on weekdays, which seems so rare in Paris!), and we had a great meal. Also, there were barely any people around, so we had almost the whole place to ourselves, which is super rare here. We shared the avo toast and a scone, which were amazing. The scone was freshly baked, served with marmalade and cream, and the avo toast was delicious. It's definitely not cheap (we paid over 30 I think), but good if you need an early-ish breakfast with lots of veggie options and great coffee.
google avatar

Melvina E.

Yelp
Not much to say that hasn't already been said! Excellent latte. I wish I had ordered the poached egg dish after seeing it come out, but the avocado toast I had was really good regardless.
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
Like everyone says, get the poached egg tartine or wish you had. We went here every morning we could when we stayed in Paris, and the food was great with great coffee and a really great staff. the place is small (as are many in Paris) but the turnover is quick enough that you never had to wait too long. We miss this already, and really enjoyed our breakfasts there so thanks so much to the staff.
google avatar

Matt B.

Yelp
I wanted coffee, I was in the area, and it had great reviews. I tried the Aeropress coffee and a scone, both were delicious. I'm a big Aeropress fan and felt the barista did a good job with his recipe. The shop was pretty much full when I showed up, since there is only seating for about 10 people, but people filtered out quickly and I found a spot by the time my coffee was ready. There are plenty of healthy options and granola available for breakfast. It's a cute little coffee shop that I would go back to.
google avatar

Lina D.

Yelp
Ob-Di-La is an average coffeeshop; it's fine if you are in the area, but nothing to go out of your way for. I happen to live right around the corner from this shop. It has cute, modern decor, and most of the seats (about 10-12) are usually full. They also have a variety of classic espresso drinks. However, I find the taste of their coffee to be slightly over-roasted, and the staff to be brusque. And because of the fact that it's so small, it's not the type of coffeeshop where I'd like to spend a couple hours reading or chatting with a friend. This is the type of coffeeshop for a quick caffeine fix if you are passing by.
google avatar

V M.

Yelp
Cozy little brunch spot that has gluten free options (and oat milk!!!!) food was really great and staff was very helpful and pleasant.
google avatar

Caroline G.

Yelp
Ob La Bi was equal parts adorable and delicious. Worth the wait if you don't find a seat right away. Try to get there before 2pm if you want to have a bite from the lunch menu. We had the ob la di burger and avocado toast. Both were delicious and very filling. The service was great and the environment was cozy and intimate.
google avatar

Angel W.

Yelp
Lovely and friendly staff who were super cute about our very average French. They also accommodated by dietary requirements with no problem whatsoever. Great coffee (especially for Paris)
google avatar

Ariel W.

Yelp
Stopped in to Ob-la-Di as it was just down the street from our AirBnB in Le Marais. As others have commented, the cafe is English friendly (which is a nice reprieve from speaking French). The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing and the coffee and food we ordered was superb. The prices are in the middling range (€11 for yogurt with fruit and granola, €5 for a huge scone with cream and jam, €4-6 for coffee) and the quality definitely reflects that. The woman running the front was very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely return!
google avatar

Kimberly K.

Yelp
Amazing house made granola and yogurt, the perfect light breakfast to take a break from typical egg and cheese heavy French morning treats. The barista knew their coffee and she was very kind when recommending other fantastic coffee guru finds, I loved talking shop with her and the overall cozy and friendly service would recommend for the coffee and company alone!
google avatar

Meg G.

Yelp
Wonderful cozy coffeeshop that is open EARLY (actually sort of rare!). Epic granola to pair with your flat white, too! A true gem.
google avatar

James C.

Yelp
Very pleasant new coffee shop. I stopped by for some breakfast. Had a latte and some toast with butter and jam. Both the coffee and toast were good but at €11 for quite a small basic snack, they should be good. Can't fault the service and there's decent wifi too. Star only lost for relatively steep price and uncomfortable seating. I'd happily return if in the area again.
google avatar

ian r.

Yelp
The best coffee shop I've found in Paris thus far. Great coffee (espresso, Chemex, Aeropress), avocado toast, salads, and pastries. The music selection is always on point, too! I visit every Saturday and Sunday I can.
google avatar

Robin B.

Yelp
Cozy, light-filled cafe in the Marais neighborhood serving excellent coffee, glorious pastries, and sensational tartines. In addition to the fine fare, we enjoyed the ambiance, vintage music magazines, and talking with the lovely young barista who had moved to Paris only a few months prior from Australia.
google avatar

Nicholas S.

Yelp
A cute cafe with super friendly staff. A great place to stop for a coffee when you're shopping in Le Marais.
google avatar

Sam O.

Yelp
New spot (opened less than 1 month ago) located in a small and charming street in Le Marais. Very few sittings inside but decorated with taste. The coffee game is on pint thank to Lloyd
google avatar

Eddy H.

Yelp
Fantastic California style breakfast in Paris. Sometimes you don't want a brioche or croissant, so this is a nice change. The place is tinyyyyy so beware. Don't plan on going there with like 5 people, like we did. They also have milk alternatives for those who need it.
google avatar

Mario R.

Yelp
Great little space in an area that seemed all but condemned before the pioneering neighbor Candelaria opened some years ago. Wedged between Candelaria and the new Argentine empanadería, this American-style coffee shop emits a different but suitably cool vibe. They may not have cold brew but they have tasty ice coffee (I happen to be in Paris during a heat wave so did not try their hot drinks). The Lomi beans were expertly brewed today and the sweetness translated well despite the addition of ice. While I did not have one of their famously instagrammed dishes, I can confirm that the banana bread is uniquely delectable. Will definitely be coming back here as it's also a nice place to work with wifi and great tunes.
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
My favorite place for a morning cappuccino. I like that the coffee is not too bitter. The avocado toast was also amazing. I ended up going two days in a row. The muffin also looked good. And of course there's the lovely decor. Will be back soon, even though it's a bit out of the way for me...
