Booked hostel for the first time & quickly felt like home. Great staff, very neatly maintained toilets and bathing areas. Comfortable beds as well. All these under a very affordable price. Definitely recommend this place.

Amazing hostel! Location is very central and there is lots of stuff to do in Oban/the islands. Staff are VERY helpful and inclusive and just the kindest people. The cleanliness is totally fine and beds are good as well! Would definitely recommend this place for people who like hostels that have a homey and chill vibe. Especially if you are a solo traveler as I was. Loved my stay and will probably be coming back another time!

Super helpful, positive and kind staff. Cozy communal area. Free coffee and tea at all hours. Lots of couches, a pool table and clean areas. It would be nice for the bunks to have their own curtains. Warmth at night is good. I felt comfortable and safe here.

A wonderful experience at this hostel. Lynn is very welcoming and warm. The building is clean and well-maintained, especially the showers which are quite spacious. The common living areas are very large and friendly. Special mention to the staff and the pool table, I had a great evening and will gladly come back!

Litteraly impossible to sleep There was a wedding just next step of the Street. The noise was so loud and the windows were too thin so we could hear litteraly everything. Awful experience. The staff of the Hostel is cool tho and the shower and stuff were great.

We spent three pleasant days in this hostel where the staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. the premises are clean and maintained. the location is ideal and close to the city center. This is the best value for money for this type of establishment.

this is a well run and well equipped hostel. it was clean and the bathroom and kitchen facilities were very good and clean. There were many helpful touches like shelving and hooks in shower for personal items, mirror in dorm room. Kitchen was v well equipped and in good condition too.

I recently stayed at Oban Backpackers and had a great experience. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the harbour and the centre of town, which makes it easy to explore Oban and catch ferries to the islands. The hostel has a pool table, which made for some fun evenings socialising with other travellers. My room was clean and comfortable, providing everything I needed for a good night’s sleep. What really stood out was the staff. They were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful, always ready to give local tips or assist with any questions. Overall, Oban Backpackers is a great choice if you are looking for affordable, comfortable accommodation with a good atmosphere in a convenient location.
