Ober Mountain

My family and I had a great time! There was a lot that we didn't do since our kids are older but we still really enjoyed it! The tram was a little stuffy but still pretty neat, but the chair lift was awesome! The views were incredible! We enjoyed the ice rink and loved the wildlife area. We were able to watch the sea otters being fed, and the staff there was very friendly. You could tell how much she loves taking care of the animals. The staff at the front counter was also great. And I really want to give attention to the woman who helped us at the Leather Shop, I believe her name was Octavia. She was so much fun and a really neat person. She made something as simple as buying a jacket and hat into a very memorable experience!

This place is a must! You really get to spend a full day here for a great price! Staff is very friendly! Took the kids here on the last trip and they loved it! This time was a girls trip and we had the best time ever! Felt like kids again! Zip lining was the highlight of this visit. Our guides Shane and Robby were absolutely amazing l! They made us feel safe and were super funny! The views from the lines were absolutely phenomenal! You must put this in your list of things to do and experience everything they have to offer! We did the mountain coaster, bumper cars, tubing, zip lining, alpine slide, and visited the animal center.

The chair lifts and bobsled were a blast—just the right mix of fun and excitement without being overwhelming. The scenic tram ride offered some absolutely gorgeous views and was a relaxing way to soak in the beauty of the mountains. What I really appreciated was how well-balanced the experience was: plenty of fun outdoor activities, but also an indoor area to cool down and take a break, which made it perfect for the whole family. The ice activities were a hit with everyone, and the entire place felt well-managed and welcoming. Well worth both the time and the price. Would definitely come back again—Ober Mountain delivers a fun, chill experience in all the right ways!

Overmountain is such a beautiful and peaceful place to visit in Tennessee. The scenery is breathtaking, surrounded by mountains and nature all around. It’s perfect for hiking, relaxing, and learning about the local history. The trails are well maintained, and the views make every step worth it. If you love nature and want to enjoy a quiet and memorable experience, this is definitely a place to visit.”

Our visit to Ober Mountain was an outstanding experience that the whole family thoroughly enjoyed! From the moment we boarded the tram at the Tramway Mall, the scenic views were breathtaking — climbing from the base all the way up to the top offered some of the best panoramic sights in the Smokies. It was a peaceful and beautiful ride that set the tone for the day. One of the highlights for our kids (and let’s be honest — for us adults too, LOL) was getting to experience real snow and in June! Whether it was tubing, playing, or just soaking it all in, it brought pure joy to everyone. We also loved the live animal educational experience. The staff was not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable. It wasn’t just a quick exhibit — they took the time to teach and answer questions, making it a genuinely engaging and informative stop for our family. Ober Mountain offers a great mix of fun, learning, and natural beauty — perfect for families. We made some awesome memories and can’t wait to return!

We booked our tickets online. So there was no waiting. In order to get into tram you have to wait for 15 minutes. Disappointed with the coaster ride as we waited for 2 hours and still there 55 people ahead of us. It’s time consuming. It would have been better if they have express lanes. Unfortunately we didn’t got chance to ride that. Loved the scenic views from the top. It was amazing. Best place to view the mountains.

We had a blast. What a great time and an amazing Military friendly place!! Decided to go on a day we had nothing planned on a day we expected busy! Hardly anyone there and we were able to do so much . We did make zip line reservations on line before we went, advise doing this as they will sell out!! Our Zip line crew was so fun BLAKE keep them ALL

The view from this observation deck was incredible. Many places for photos and the zip-line looked cool but was too high for our family. The ski lift and air tram have amazing views (we were lucky enough to even see a bear during our tram ride). The mountain coaster here is a good ride. It is a decent length, and very smooth ride. We did the wrist band and it was a very fun day. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.
