"A good start to your visit to Québec City is a stop at the Observatoire de la Capitale, just past the Parliament Building. The observation deck on the 31st floor of the Marie-Guyart Building stands 725 feet high and offers 360-degree views of the city. From here, the highest building in the city, you can get a sense of the lay of the land—Old Québec jutting out into the St. Lawrence River, Cap Diamant to its south, the Louise Basin marina and St. Charles River to its north. New signage added in 2016 provides cultural, economic, and historical background on the sights below. After you have surveyed the city, descend and explore it on foot."
The Observatoire de la Capitale offers breathtaking 360° views of Québec City from its 31st-floor vantage point. It’s the perfect spot to appreciate the city’s rich history, the St. Lawrence River, and the surrounding landscape. The informative exhibits add context without overwhelming. A must-visit for first-timers and locals alike!

A must visit for tourists & Tallahasians alike!! The Tallahassee Observatory is a great place to view the city from 22 stories up. My kids loved pointing out all of the landmarks that we could see ranging from Cascade Park to The Hyatt Hotel to our own thrift store Savvy Salvage down in Railroad Square Art Park!!! Btw, it's free❤️

L'observatoire de la Capitale is one of the highest point you can get to in Quebec City. It was definitely a good idea for us to start our tour of the city from here as it gave us a good idea of the size of the town.
We really enjoyed it here and would definitely recommend coming to get the city views.

This is a nice well-rounded way to learn about Quebec City. Tickets were easy to purchase online in advance and finding the building/entrance was simple. We were early and it was no problem. Everyone spoke English. We started the experience at our own pace and on one “side” there was a guide that took time to walk us through the history of what we were looking at. The graphic design and overall appearance of the place was great.
There are “immersive” parts of the experience which are just projected videos and photos that didn’t relate much to the purpose of the attraction.

Great spot to get your bearings in Québec City! The Observatoire de la Capitale offers amazing 360° views of the city from way up on the 31st floor. It reminded me a bit of the CN Tower—minus the glass floor and edge walk! The exhibits were fun and informative, with historical photos and bite-sized facts that made the visit both scenic and educational. Bonus points for the friendly staff who spoke English and helped us navigate everything easily.
The views are totally worth it on a clear day. If you're into skyline spotting or just want a cool way to see Québec from above, this place is definitely worth the detour!

Great views, super friendly staff at the top. Had to buy tickets via a QR code with no help from staff at the bottom of the building. No WiFi there and we struggled for 15 mins trying to get tickets. A simple machine to buy tickets (no staff required) would really help.

Good value because it's cheap. Might be the best place for a 360 degree view but the main direction to look is probably more magnificent from the citadel. Part of the exhibit said "the St Lawrence River leads to the Great Lakes and the mythic Mississippi". I guess that could be true in a sense but the Mississippi isn't linked to that water system. Kind of like how Mexico leads to Canada. Don't worry about the land in-between.

Yelp
Well worth the $14 ticket. Amazing. Uncrowded, kind staff, tons of information about the city. Loved every minute. The gift shop was beautiful, the views are boundless.

The Yelp entry misstates the closing time: the last elevator leaves at 4:40, so you have no chance of seeing it if you arrive between 4:40 and the time Yelp says it closes (5pm).
I'm sure the view is cool--other people who got to see it say so.
