An Evening of Stars and History – Fabra Observatory I had the pleasure of joining the "Dinner with the Stars" experience at Fabra Observatory — an evening I highly recommend to anyone visiting Barcelona. The night began with a lovely outdoor dinner on the panoramic terrace, offering breathtaking views of the city lights. The atmosphere was intimate and perfect for lovers of astronomy and fine dining. After dinner, we were guided on a tour inside the observatory, where we learned about its fascinating history. I found it especially interesting to discover the role the Observatory has played in both astronomical and seismological research. The highlight of the night was observing the stars through the historical telescope: we were lucky enough to see a binary star system, a fascinating phenomenon explained with passion by the staff. Seeing those distant, shining points so vividly through the eyepiece was truly moving. A perfect blend of culture, science, and romance. A unique experience that’s truly worth it.

Went for the Sopar amb estrelles event. It was a beautiful night and everything was impeccable. A bit pricey but the view and the ambiance made up for it. The only problem is getting up there and back into town.

Spectacular view of BCN and surroundings. Easy trip up with 3 euro finicula. Church at top also open for visitors and for an extra 5 euro you can visit church tower.

Exclusive place with great views of Barcelona. The dinner was good and so the explanations and the visit to the telescope guided by very friendly staff. I would recommend it 100%, the only downside being a little overpriced for what you get.

We had an amazing time at the dinner under the stars event at fabre observatory, the staff at sternalia were very helpful when arranging the booking and dietary requirements. The meal was wonderful in a lovely setting in front of the observatory with fantastic views over Barcelona. We requested English speaking tour of the observatory which was great as it turned out to be a small group of us as the main group got the tour in Catalan. The observatory itself is very interesting and it was a great experience to get to see Saturn through the telescope. The guide from Barcelona was lovely and very knowledgeable about the observatory. Would highly recommend!

The "Dinner with Stars" was a fabulous experience: twilight welcome with cava or beer, dinner on the patio with unbelievable views of the city, then a visit to the observatory itself. While others enjoyed a presentation in Catalan, we got a private tour in English about the history, personalities, and science by our excellent guide, Bea. Then we were privileged to look through the 100+ year old telescope and see a clear view of Saturn with its rings and moon Titan, guided by astronomer Alicia. They even booked a taxi for our return, since the Bus 111 stops running in the evening. Definitely looking forward to returning next summer.

Amazing views and tour of the museum including looking at stars through the telescope! Sadly the food didn't taste great. Service was good and friendly and the wine was nice.

Incredible views very well explained. Downside is that we were not able to observe any stars since the telescope is fixed to one star (Jupiter) that part was covered with cloud and we were not able to observe. Atleast a compensation or voucher for another visit could have been provided, but unfortunately they don’t. In the end the whole idea of visiting an observatory is to see the stars! No amount of knowledge transfer or cavas and biscuits would suffice that!
