Amazing place to visit on Saturdays! I really recommend you to visit this place even though it will take you an hour from Bandung. However it is totally worth it! Careful though because they only open to public on certain days and only at certain sessions of time. (I attached a picture of the schedule on my review if you want to see their schedule)

Having a chance to visit Bosscha Observatory is a precious chance. I can gaze the star here at night, but only on April to October. I had an experience gazing the Jupiter once. It is amazing! The ticket is only for IDR 20K, but if you come on Saturday, without gazing to the star, the ticket is only 15k. The ticket includes a short tour in Bosscha Observatory, including a presentation in Koppel Building and watching animation in Multimedia Room. It is better to book at night tour since it will be amazing gazing the star, and even, I had a chance to gaze at Jupiter. Cool and awesome experience!

Full of history, full of knowledge, and full of fresh mountain air. It's amazing to know that Indonesia has this spectacular place to see the outer space. This place has three diferrent times for visitor and fortunately we arrived an hour before the latest time for visitor (we arrived at 12 o'clock and the latest time is about at 1 o'clock in the afternoon). The ticket price is about Rp15.000,00 per person and this place is worth it. This is a must-visit place when you're in Bandung.

The largest observatorium in Indonesia. Currently under Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and established since 1923 (in 2023 already 100 years). Get more famous since Petualangan Sherina movie took this place on the scene. This observatorium open for public but you need to register before your visit. Regular visit available only on Saturday. First session at 8-10 am and secon session at 10-12 pm. You can buy the ticket to visit via the website and ticket can be purchased max 2/3 weeks in advance. Public visitor will experience observing sun with telescope. To observe stars you need to join nigh session but unfortunately it’s currently unavailable. The staff told me may be in next year. Any update for special event you may check on its Instagram account.

A nice place to have an astronomic tour in Lembang, Bandung, Indonesia Monday to Friday for school group and for family visitor available on Saturday from 9 am to 2.30 pm. Better come between April until October to see the stars using the zeiss telescope.

this place is the old observatory, the starting point of modern astronomy in southeast asia. there are rare twin refractive telescopes and many contributions are made to popular astronomy. however, due to the bad weather conditions(cloudy), it is difficult to conduct continuous research. now the idn government is building a new observatory in timau.

It is the oldest observatory in Indonesia and it is located in Lembang. Mainly, it is used for research but for the public it is also a good place for an educational vacation. People may come and pay IDR.15k for a session of presentations. The public get two kind of presentations. First presentation is about the simulation of how to use the zeiss telescope located at the koppel building. The second presentation is about the history and the general info of the observatory itself. (+) - One of the iconic places in Bandung so it's good for taking pictures (-) - Small parking area. In a busy day, the cars have to be parked on the side of the road - A restricted place. There are not many things to do here for the public visitors.

It was a great experience. I went there by gojek. I asked to driver to went in to, lol. The ticket is very cheap, worth the experiences and lessons. They would let you see the sun with their DIY telescope! They have night observation during summer, about March to September. Too bad I went there on December. Would love to back on Summer :)
