Ocean Beauty Boutique Hotel - A Fantastic Stay by the Ocean I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ocean Beauty Boutique Hotel, and it was truly a memorable experience. The rooms are well-maintained, with daily cleaning by the incredibly friendly staff. The air conditioning was a welcome relief, and the beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable – perfect for a restful night. I particularly appreciated the extra-long beds, which added a touch of luxury. The security is top-notch, with 24/7 surveillance that provides peace of mind. The security team is not only helpful but also incredibly friendly, which added to the overall positive vibe of the place. Now, about the breakfast – wow! It was a highlight of my stay. Served daily with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from, it was the perfect start to every day. One of the biggest perks of this hotel is its location. It's just a few meters away from the ocean, making it ideal for snorkeling enthusiasts. The area is perfect for exploring marine life, and the proximity to shops, restaurants, and tourist centers ensures there's plenty to do. The local tourism centers were particularly helpful in arranging taxis and day tours, adding to the convenience. A special mention goes to the owner, who went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. They organized a snorkeling trip by boat, which turned out to be the highlight of our trip. Their personal touch truly sets this hotel apart. Overall, Ocean Beauty Boutique Hotel offers a blend of comfort, convenience, and exceptional service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing seaside getaway.

The hotel has had its best days (it's old, but that doesn't mean it's bad!). For the money it costs, we had a very good sleep over. It was all a little complicated at first but after the manager was there the next day things came into place and we could enjoy our stay. You get what you pay for here - it's not 4 or 5 star, but for the price one can absolutely stay there :) All other comments are right, the pool is not perfect, there is no proper beach in front and our room smelt a little moist (we bought candles to overcome that smell - pro tip for the next who will stay ;-) ). N²

Lovely room, the bathroom was particularly big and modern with both a shower-as well as the bath. There was also a microwave and fridge in the room as well.||The pool was clean and just the right size-overlooking the sea. The hotel also has access to a very small part of the beach as well with clear blue water. Another positive was that we were given a lovely omelette for breakfast.||The place does need TLC in the sense that the reception area is a bit of wasted space and could be made into something nicer.||It is obvious there's a lack of staff. They did struggle during the pandemic and lost a lot of business, as you can imagine, and are trying to get back on their feet (told to us by staff). Would recommended this place if you want something not too expensive and with a beautiful view/access to the beach.

Beautiful hotel with spacious, clean room and reliable room service. The breakfast was delicious and can be enjoyed either at the hotel’s private beach (amazing view) or on the room’s balcony. The staff was always kind and helpful (especially during an incident on our last day). Pereybere public beach, supermarket, pharmacy, bus station and many restaurants were close by. Well recommended!

We got a recommendation for Ocean Beauty from a lady we met in the airport car park whilst picking up /handing over hire cars. If you believe in fate....... we booked here last minute, initially for 2 nights but we enjoyed it that much we extended our stay. Yes, there are improvements needed but after 2 years of no business/ income I can overlook some decorating and tidying up needs. The security/receptonist/ doing everything guy that checked us in admitted as such but the company is understandably reluctant to shut at peak season and has staffing issues. We booked an ocean view suite which was incredible. A beautiful big space with magnificent bathroom complete with huge tub, waterfall style shower and glass walls so you get the view over the enormous bed (all made up with flowers on the crisp very white sheets) out onto the balcony and the amazing azure sea beyond. The heated pool was great, the other outside areas need some beautifying. A small set of steps down to the beach and you're in heaven. The staff were fab and the breakfasts on the balcony looking out to sea, couldn't fault it. Would definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful place to stay.. fantastic location, a real piece of paradise at your back door.. we had a fabulous stay at the Hotel.. the staff were fantastic couldn't do enough for us.. very friendly and helpful.. the swimming pool was beautiful with the natural gardens surrounding it and the patio area near the beach , was just heaven.. the pool was always warm and spotless and a great way to refresh your day.. breakfast was huge ..fresh fruit and bread and a choice of eggs cheese yoghurts and meats ..the coastal walk 5 metres from the pool was breathtaking.. very close to bars and restaurants with the Hive Bar across the road .. Shane and George and the staff were amazing ..great music..lovely vibe really felt like our local.. and the food was great too. I can't say enough great things about our stay but we will be back again soon.. thank you Jennifer and all the team for making us so welcome ! Michelle and Rob.. From Ireland

This place is a complete misrepresentation of what’s on the pics and definitely not worth any money. The only staff on site are 1 security lady and 1 cleaning lady. No manager, no reception. Nothing. |Yet the place is right on the beach in the prime location of Pereybere.|||The strange thing is that when I complained, there was absolutely no surprise or hesitation, nobody tried to explain or apologise. It was as though it were expected that guests may not be happy at Ocean Beauty. Perhaps they were used to dealing with unhappy clients going there.||Exterior: There is a shocking lack of maintenance all round, dirt bags with rubbish greeting you at the entrance, an entrance pool with no water, uncut grass. The sea-facing rooms toward the front look nice from outside but I was not willing to chance it given the overall (lack) of atmosphere and apparent neglect. Looked like it could be quite unhygienic.||Interior: The room I was assigned was a garden room. Very very basic and looked sad inside.||I had booked for 10 nights but did not stay for even half an hour, rather I requested to speak to the owner and see if I could get my money back and move to another location. Fortunately, the owner had another hotel and I managed to get a room there for the remaining 10 nights. This was a slightly better property, Ocean Villa Hotel in Grand Baie.||I subsequently spoke to 2 or 3 locals and they all said that it was well known that the owner of Ocean Beauty was putting zero into the upkeep of the place. ||In that case, he should just close it down. Or somebody should. It gives Mauritius hotel industry a bad name. Don’t book it!||

Location, location, location and nice rooms too!|Sure, if you want to stay at an impersonal Chain Hotel, you can but if you want to be in a little family style run hotel, this is your place.|For me, the best thing was the breakfast that is brought to your room every morning. Or you can choose to sit overlooking the ocean and watch the waves role in while you eat.|So to be clear, there is no restaurant, no bar, no dining room but for me that was all a pro. There is a nice swimming pool and the views over the ocean are fantastic. |The beach is at your feet and the birds are coming over to say hi every morning.|What more can you want for a wonderful island vacation!|
