Ocean Breeze Studios

Clean, spacious rooms located in the heart of Santo Domingo. Stayed 3 nights for a business trip and was overall satisfied with the service and friendliness of staff. Owner is very kind and attentive as he made certain all my needs and requirements were met during my stay. Definitely the place to stay if you're on a budget and want to stay somewhere centric. Going back in December.

This is a small hotel located in the Colonial Zone one street over from El Conde, the pedestrian calle that connects Parque Independencia, on one end, and Parque Colon, on the other. My room was spacious and had good WiFi and TV connection, consistent hot water, and good air conditioning. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and made sure my room was well maintained. It is on a small street that has a very Dominican feel. I enjoyed my two day visit there and would recommend it for a short visit to Santo Domingo.

I just returned from DR and while I enjoyed the trip, I did not enjoy this hotel. The day manager, the only woman who worked behind the desk, was a bit slimy. After booking this room through another site, she said that I could only pay cash upon arrival. She said the credit card system was down. When I refused, the system miraculously began working. Once in the room, I found it dark and dreary. There was only one overhead light so the room was dark. Not such a big deal. The problem I had was seeing several roaches after the 2nd day. I informed her and she casually said she would take care of it. No one ever came to do anything. According to her, the hotel was fully booked and no other rooms were available. A friend stayed on the 4th floor and there was no elevator. Again, not a deal breaker but with everything else it made the experience unpleasant. The other staff members were pleasant and accommodating, but I won't stay at this establishment again.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at ocean breeze hotel. They have 24/7 security which made me feel at ease being a foreigner, their studios accomodate any travellers needs: kitchen, ensuite bathroom, hot water, comfortable bedding, A/C, smart TV and free wifi. The prices are affordable and perfect for anyone travelling on a budget. ||Ocean breeze hotel exceeded all expectations, thank you for having us!

Very nice reception guys .. the hotel is very clean and my room was spotless. I had arrived at midnight due to no street signs or big hotel Marquis and GPS is backwards and often misguided me thank goodness for Google translator which ended my entire day search. This hotel has wifi a bed shower and central air units but be warned you ate going to hear a pin drop .. you hear the noises of the streets and neighbors and cats mating and some rude neighbor who whistled an entire 3 hour symphony at 5:00 am - 9 am .. nightly price was ok but should be no more than $25.00US - did not further my stay due to environments / noise surrounding the hotel.

This is a small hotel, with not more than 15 rooms. Their rooms are very nice and not like that of wow surprise. If anybody want something cheap but presentable, this place is the right place for you. The price range is between 35$ to 70$ depending on the aize of the rooms. They also got rooms with 2 beds for family uses. Service is just ok and not really bad. Most of the receptionist speak a little good English in order to comunicate with foreigners. They give discount depending on how many days you would stay. It is a perfect place to stay if you are on a low budget plan for your trip. Its just a block away from the well known El Conde AKA Zona colonial in spanish or colonial Zone. Its a historical zone with different stores and offices and restaurants etc. Anything you want its just by the corner. Enjoy your stay.

It's a small hotel near a park, "Parque Independencia" and "Calle Conde" a street with lots of shops and restaurants. The rooms are modern and clean. Some have a small built-in stove if you want to cook your own food. It's one of the best places to be in the "Zona Colonial" area. Staff were great, most spoke and understood English. I would stay there again and also recommend it to family and friends.

Hotel is very well located in central part of downtown with easy walking distance to restaurants/bars and historical part of city. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean and modern. Excellent value for price!
