"A groomed shoreline and lively boardwalk give this beloved East Coast beach a classic Americana vibe. Eight miles of white-sand beach, plus a three-mile boardwalk packed with amusement park rides, bike rentals, shops, and delectable treats make Ocean City Beach a popular vacation spot. After a day of Jet Skiing, fishing, or boating, you'll find a variety of hotels, restaurants, and even a brewery on the boardwalk." - Travel + Leisure Editors

We loved Ocean City! In all my years, I'd never been to that beach and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The beach was not too crowded on a Sunday which was nice. The boardwalk was pleasant with the usual stores, games and rides. I like that it's a smaller boardwalk compared to Atlantic City or Wildwood, and it's much cleaner. The people working in the stores are much more friendly as well. We all wound up getting piercings too, which were very reasonable. I got a conch piercing which hurts like hell! 🤣 But it's something I've wanted for a while. Ocean City, Md is our new favorite beach locale and we'll be back for sure.

Very beautiful beach, the water was very cold tho!! The sand is also very loose and kinda hard to walk on but its so soft it feels very nice. I def want to come back again some day :3

I like Ocean City Beach. It's very long. If not mistaken, it's 10 miles long. The sand area is really big, wide so it accommodates lots of people. Very busy boardwalk stretches form the south side for 3 miles. Many people are jogging or bike riding in the mornings. The boardwalk is clean, and they offer lots thing to do here. There are so many food shops, restaurants, and souvenir shops. Some hotels have pools on the boardwalk if you don't feel like walking on hot sand. The beach is free. Live guards are on duty during the season. Nice place for relaxing vacation Ocean City, Maryland

Google
Clean and wide. The city does a great job maintaining the beach. When we visited in May, there was a heavy shore break but relatively gently wave once you got out 50 feet or so from the beach. There was a sand bar that went as far out as I cared to go and was still in waist deep water several hundred yards out. The beach rules and lifeguard times are listed at the each entrance. It wasn’t at all crowded when we visited but that could have been because peak season hadn’t yet started

Ocean City, MD, is a vibrant seaside destination offering something for everyone. The 10-mile sandy beach is perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and various water sports. The famous boardwalk is lined with shops, restaurants, and amusements, providing endless entertainment. Local seafood, especially crabs, is a must-try, and there are numerous dining options to suit all tastes and budgets. Family-friendly attractions, such as mini-golf and arcades, blend seamlessly with a lively nightlife scene. Overall, Ocean City is an ideal spot for a fun and relaxing beach getaway.

Google
We love Ocean City MD beaches, we go every year! The water is always so beautiful and the shops, restaurants and boardwalk are a blast! We love coming for summer vacation and wouldn’t trade it for the world!

Google
tourist town. Super cool boardwalk. don’t go in December.

Yelp
I needed to update my review. Phillips Seafood, a mainstay in Ocean City, closed during covid. Now the only location is in Baltimore. The beach remains awesome. We have stayed near the boardwalk and farther away. Sometimes, it is easier to find parking farther away from the boardwalk. There are fun attractions - miniature golf, escape rooms, outlet shopping and souvenir shops. Pizza is a better option than some of the restaurants on a Sunday evening. Watch your snacks on the beach. The seagulls are aggressive and fast! Assateague isn't that far. There are hiking trails and horses. Rehoboth beach is about 30 minutes away. It has a different look and feel.

Yelp
We've been coming to Ocean City for the last 19 years. Even if we don't come for a whole week anymore, we still need to make it here for a few days otherwise we feel as if our Summer isn't complete. This place has become our second home. Everyone has always been so polite to us over the years. The weather is amazing. The beach is always clean. The boardwalk is beautiful. We love all the diversity in food options. It's an amazing place.

Dee M.

Yelp
Beautiful area of OCEAN CITY. Close to shops and restaurants and yet unspoiled. Pretty back bays. Camping nearby.

Raj S.

Yelp
Lovely beach .. must visit :) people start going to the beach early mornings and enjoy the atmosphere . Lots of activities in this beach - surfing , beach volleyball, para sailing , speed boats , water scooters etc. very clean beach . Life guards are all around . 5 star attraction :)

Yelp
I spent a couple of weeks traveling the East Coast and this gave me the opportunity to compare and contrast some of the greatest beaches. Ocean City lands in the middle, at least as far as my own rating scale. It is overly commercialized. It's cheap pizza after ice cream followed by tshirts and arcades. The boardwalk isn't really that smooth. There's some litter. And the boardwalk is a long, long, LONG walk to the water side. They do have lifeguards and the water gets deeper very slowly as you walk out. I'm comparing it to the Virginia Beach Boardwalk https://www.yelp.com/biz/virginia-beach-ocean-front-virginia-beach-2?hrid=DMoCjaNXf2eY5n8NdGyBCQ, Coney Island https://www.yelp.com/biz/coney-island-beach-and-boardwalk-brooklyn-3?hrid=m00emaATJhbcQJaJaTvmTw, Bayfront Park https://www.yelp.com/biz/bayfront-park-chesapeake-beach?hrid=ske6C4WU_x0ILDzZsFaMBg and eventually, Atlantic City. Maybe you agree. Maybe you don't. That's okay. This isn't my cup of tea. [Review 18154 overall - 668 in Maryland - 1676 of 2022.]

Yelp
Amazing mini summer getaway. I truly believe Ocean City Beach, Maryland has been underrated for years. We stayed at the far end of the boardwalk away from the night life congestion but close enough to stroll. The beach was clean. People respectful of one another and the beach atmosphere of relaxation, good times, and family/friend quality time was enjoyed by all. I did not see one person drinking alcohol or any beer cans or disorderly people; day or night on the beach. Which is very impressive how big the beach area is and for so many people to follow the rules. No one on the beach was blaring their personal choice of music on their personal portable radios. Only music heard was the ocean, people laughing/talking or playing beach games and the occasional restaurant live band. The boardwalk in the evening was also enjoyable. Tons of people, but police presence that could not go unnoticed with the large beautiful horses patrolling the boardwalk. Tons of shops, restaurants, places to go and things to do throughout the beach/Bay Area. Will definitely come back to this clean, pleasant, relaxing, family oriented beach. This beach just isn't hyped up like other beaches but don't be fooled, sometimes the best little secrets are kept quiet. Hyped up beaches tend to have hyped up atmospheres, parties, alcohol and trouble. Really enjoyed the beauty and tranquility and peace of this beach with my daughters.

Yelp
The beach itself is just fine, but OC isn't set up for day trippers or families from the DC area. Unlike the Delaware beaches a few miles up the road or Assateague a few miles south, there are no changing rooms and showers like those other places have. Especially if you're here with kids, where are you going to change into swimwear? In the parking lot and risk getting arrested for indecent exposure? And afterwards, who wants to drive home 3 hours smelling of the ocean and sticky from the salt? I'm sure with all the tax revenue the city draws, they can afford to build at least one bath house at the south parking lot.

Yelp
While on a family trip to Ocean City in July we went over to check out the Ocean City Beach. There was limited free parking so we utilized paid parking a few blocks away. Once you walk past the boardwalk there is the beach. Ocean City Beach is a very nice, clean and expansive beach. It was lifeguards and relatively gentle waves. Our girls (7 & 9) had a great time playing in the water. The water was cold but they still had a great time. The beach was so expansive you could see the beach as far as you could look. There was lots of space on the beach so you could be near people or find your own place away from others. The great part of this beach is that with the boardwalk, amusement park and the places to eat and shop there is something for everyone. Overall this is a really great beach. I look forward to bringing the family back here next time we are in the Maryland area.

Mark M.

Yelp
This is one nice beach. Very deep, super clean, with a boardwalk that's runs forever. People bathing in the sun here are very kind to one another, and spread out appropriately. There's umbrellas and chairs you can rent. When we went in early September, the outside temp was around 80°, just perfect. The water was a bit cold and rough, with large waves and white caps, but it was very windy out. Water was a medium green color. Walking out in the water, it was very shallow for a good distance. We didn't see any traces of seaweed, which was wonderful.

Yelp
The beach is my happy place! So, it's nice to have a weekend getaway like Ocean City Beach. It's less than three hours away and the scenic route through the Eastern Shore is pretty nice. It has none of the flair of Miami Beach nor the beauty of Siesta Beach. There's no pearly white sand to sink your feet in and palm trees are virtually nonexistent. Dang, even the eye candy is hard to come by! If anything, Ocean City is family-friendly. During the summertime, it's a popular spot for families with kids. There's an amusement park near the edge of the shore...the giant Ferris wheel is the main attraction. An occasional auto show or craft fair is about as "exciting" as things get around here. Gripe: The boardwalk needs to be remodeled...it looks a bit shabby and outdated. I would love to see it spruced up. It would attract more visitors and improve the image of this place...drastically! Well, at least the sand is clean and the sunsets are beautiful! Enough to tide me over...until I take my next flight out to Miami Beach!

John B.

Yelp
Ocean City is just that: the entire length of the beach is heavily developed and urban. The sand and the waves are nice, and bits of wildlife are visible, but as far as beaches go, I prefer the wilder ones by a lot, including Assateague and the Delaware State Parks right nearby. The length of the beach here is largely featureless so it's reasonable to search for cheap or free parking and hit the beach wherever you end up. The bottom line, though, is that beaches are not our strength around here, and if you're trying to find a real ocean beach within a reasonable drive of the DC-Baltimore area, this is about as close as you can get. Additionally, when there are travel restrictions across state lines, it's helpful that while OC is a long way away from most of the state, it is still technically Maryland.

Marlon T.

Yelp
The beach at Ocean City pleasantly surprised me. Well, I really just didn't know what to expect coming here. I'm from the west coast, and OC beach this isn't a place you ever hear about. I don't imagine it's on any lists of top beaches in the US. All that said, this beach is very spacious, nice, and clean! At least when I went this month (September) it was not too crowded, lots of people were flying cool kites, there was a lifeguard on duty, and there existed many shops/restaurants on the boardwalk that just want you to relax and be comforted with their goods! It was perfect formula for a nice autumn beach time with gentle wind. I know it's far from the metropolitan D.C. area (3 hours driving), but it's worth the trip for sure if you want to get away from the hustle/bustle politics and dig your feet in the sand.

Nina R.

Yelp
What can I say? I've been coming to this beach since I was in high school. This is my go-to beach since I live in Virginia. I think it is the closest beach in the DMV. You have the THE OCEAN, the boardwalk, restaurants, souvenir shops, games, rides, fun shops along the boardwalk, bars, pizza, funnel cake, deep fried oreos, deep fried Reeces peanut butter cups...yea, they're AMAZING. I've never been to Vegas, but with all the bright lights and exciting things to see and do and all the people, I feel like it's the Vegas Strip! It is a long beach strip. The beach is clean. Security does their job and makes sure its safe. Family friendly. However - there are more beaches to check out further up the highway, like Bethany, Fenwick Island, Dewey and Rehoboth. Go see them all! They all have

Georgetta G.

Yelp
Ocean city was awesome! Public transportation is the way to go... can't wait to go back! Beach is nice! Sand wasn't too hot and the weather was desirable!

Maria G.

Yelp
Ocean City has a lot to offer from restaurants, entertainment, shops and more. I really enjoyed the outlet when you first drive in. The summer season is very busy and you can find yourself at the same stop light after two turns because traffic can be that hectic! The parking is a hassle like most beach area and a lot of one way streets, reading the street signs is fundamental! LOL! Some of the hotels on the strips are old so read reviews very closely. The area is very family oriented but also a spot for local Spring breakers. Overall it is a great place to vacation!

Abeer A.

Yelp
The sands are very interestingly clean and inviting to walked over! Yesterday the weather was so romantic clouds & crisp! Thou now is very beach-like weather so darn SUNNY & sucky

Demond S.

Yelp
There is something aboit the ocean, that is calming.. relaxing. You dont feel the need to be connected... when you are in that enchanting place. OC Beach is much like that. If you want to enjoy the beach, the Atlantic Ocean views, OC beach is one of those places you can do that. For those who want to shop, drink, eat, and play, the boardwalk offers quick access to those amenities. So much to see and do on a 37 square mile peninsula, home to about 10,000 residents. You can't go wrong visiting hear. If the beach is your thing, you can definitely drink, celebrate, fish, camp, amd just plain old relax.

Kylene G.

Yelp
Awesome, clean beach! Every time I come here, I'm so relaxed and it's nice to see that it's still clean after years. It's nice to fly a kite their too.

Lauren T.

Yelp
An amazing place to spend time with family and make new memories :) The beach is very clean! Food: Awesome Population: Crowded (Depending on the time of day)

Tony C.

Yelp
Loved my trip here. Such a beautiful beach. So much to do on The Main Street of the Island with tons of restaurants, shops and stores. Public transportation is nice and is only 3 dollars a day per person. Be careful of the waves on beach! They are really big and powerful

Enar O.

Yelp
So therapeutic. So, so lovely. My friends and I came here on a Monday - it was clean, peaceful and not crowded. We had a very nice time. You don't need to bring anything with you if you don't have it already. All that you would need is sold here, although a little pricey. The food from various vendors is above average and I was pleased to see the restrooms clean as well.

Leah L.

Yelp
I have to say this beach is clean, went here for a few days vacation and the first thing that stood out was the signs before entering the beach area. No bottles was one, but I have to say I like that rule I've been to beaches that were dirty. This beach was far from dirty the sand was soft and clean, you can tell they clean it daily. I enjoyed this beach and will definitely be back.

Daxx C.

Yelp
It's crazy what they charge for a week in OC for prime time season! You'd be better off taking your family to the Caribbean for a week!

Annabelle L.

Yelp
Clean and free beach....need I say more! There's lots of children friendly activities and free fireworks on Monday and Tuesday nights during summer. If you're a seafood lover, you'll love coming here. There's so many seafood buffet. I recommend booking a hotel stay between 1st and 20th street where you'll be near the boardwalk. Further down these blocks, you may find cheaper stay but you'd probably need to drive and find parking if you want to walk on the boardwalk.

Karen L.

Yelp
Ocean City beach is very nice along the boardwalk. There are nice restrooms and there is good access from the beach to the boardwalk. Dogs are allowed on the beach in the off season but not between Memorial Day and Labor Day. I like that they have a shower or foot shower to wash off the sand before walking the boardwalk. There are some good outdoor festivals along the boardwalk. This is s great beach.

Dee T.

Yelp
Soft sand great views what more can you ask for bring your chairs cooler and book you'll enjoy yourself

Denise C.

Yelp
This is the scene of the crime. Yes, we got busted by the popo at this beach at the end of high school. Yes, some high school students in Maryland celebrate the end of high school with a rite of passage: BEACH WEEK. haha. I have not been back to this beach since June 2002. I moved out to California and dig those beaches much more. But I will always remember Ocean City, Maryland. It is a decent option for locals around the state or Washington, DC. By the summer, it is nice enough to spend time at. There are things to do around this beach. You can visit Bethany and Rehoboth beaches as well. Ocean City 4ever!

Harry E.

Yelp
I love it here. It was a huge part of my childhood and continues to be a great part of my life. I have no doubt it will also be part of my child's childhood. The waves are great, the sand is cleaned almost every night if not every night, I can't be sure - but the cleaning machines are out there a lot! Laurie couldn't be more right, this is PARADISE compared to the Jersey Shore. This beach is free, Jersey isn't. People say well they use that money to clean the beach, well OCMD cleans their beach and doesn't charge you to sit or play in the waves... Bogus.

Amalia M.

Yelp
I'm a beach lover and I'm very happy that I got to see this beach on the east coast. The beach is big and very clean. I have seen plenty of beaches on the West Coast and this one was a mix of Venice Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Santa Monica. There are a lot of tiny shops and restaurants along the boardwalk. There aren't any obstructions like rocks in the way which is good. You can see endless waves and there's a pier nearby. There are a few structures to take pictures on like a cut-out board and whale. I really liked this beach because the water was clean.

James W.

Yelp
Ocean City Maryland Beach is amazing. I live near Philly so growing up I had access to many beaches in Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. Out of all of them I have to say hands down Ocean City Maryland is my favorite one!! I have a lot of nostalgia for this place as I have been coming here since I was very young. I dont remember how many times I have been here when I was a kid in the early-mid 2000s but I do remember we had many weekend and day trips here (made easier because we had a place we used to vacation at in Maryland). Since then I have been here in 2009 and 2013 for vacations, a day trip as a part of a Dewey Beach vacation in 2018 and more recently a weekend vacation last month in October 2020 from the 9th-11th. The beach itself is fantastic the sand and water conditions are good, Ocean City MD has wide beaches to handle crowds and great waves too (I loved boogie boarding as a kid). The water can get pretty cool in the off season but its still great to stick your feet in! Going for walks along the beach is great too even If I haven't had the chance to walk the beach in full yet (add it to the bucket list). Ocean City has plenty of attractions to do and see, but the beach will always be one of the main highlights.

Kristie J.

Yelp
The beach is clean, pretty big and even better its super quiet during the off season. It can get pretty busy in the summer season but they do a good job of keeping in clean. Lots of hotels and houses for rent along the ocean, the places aren't so nice always but all you need is the beach! Lots of restaurants and other things to do along the beach which is nice. Traffic gets super busy though during the summer.

George C.

Yelp
Originally I was going to give this one star, but the beach was pretty nice. When I first came to ocean city I was not expecting a beach, I wasn't even expecting salt water. But to my surprise both of those things were there. I love swimming but since I wasn't expecting water I didn't pack a swimsuit. That wasn't a problem though, I just swam in my skintight underwear. The beach was fun, the salt water was not... they should warn people about it.

Kenny C.

Yelp
Nice public beach, but limited parking nearby due to all the renters. Clean beach, clean water. Lots of lifeguards, though one tiny Asian girl was pulling more than her weight. Ice cream man occasionally drives down.

Jodie C.

Yelp
Clean Beach! Safe beach! Very nice! We've been coming here for the last 10 years now (except for 2015). So much to do and we continue to enjoy our time here!

Daniel A.

Yelp
Ok so my review will be based off what to do but i will mention some other stuff. The beach was filled with trash but the waves and water was nice Tons of food Tons of shops Tons of nightlife Dirty beach The water is fun Tons of expensive parking Tons of roller coaster things Tons of bathrooms Tons of drug use Tons of weed smell Tons of side acts Tons of stuff to do Overall. If police cleaned it up. Itd be better but seeing 2 gentleman use heroin behind a dumpster 10 feet from mickey mouse is bad I went to one of the bathroons and although im very weed friendly. The guy in the next stall was smoking a blunt. The problem is there is kids everywhere. Just go to your car or non kid areas

Tiffany Y.

Yelp
I loved my visit to Ocean City Beach MD. I happened to come on a weekday after Labor Day, so the crowds were noticeably less. The beach was clean and relaxing, and the weather was still fantastic. The water was also still warm from being heated up all summer! Most of the shops, food stands, and restaurants were still open, which made for a nice time walking along the boardwalk window-shopping and eating. I made this a day trip from DC and I would definitely come back :)

Swatee G.

Yelp
Before coming to the Unites States to study, I swear I had not been to a beach ever in my life. Ocean city was the first beach I ever came to, and it has a special place in my heart. Like most east coast beaches, the sand is coarse and not white, the water is muddy and not blue. I have never seen any fish (the infamous jelly or otherwise) on this beach ever. The waves can be gorgeous or nasty, depending on the time of the day and year you are here at. I absolutely hate coming here on busy weekends (Labor day etc) when the entertainment deprived crowd along the east coast heads to the beach, haha! Parking will be a BIG pain every time you are here - regardless of whether it is a busy or a quiet weekend. If you are uber lucky, you might end up with a public parking spot and then one of your party can take ownership of feeding the monstrous parking meter every 4 hours (IF you remember to carry quarters, lol) I have been to Ocean City countless times, and I have never stayed here over night. I know the hotel prices can get pretty insane during their peak periods. The beach itself is a combination of clean and dirty - I think streets 1 - 6 are the worst with all the touristy shops etc, in terms of cleanliness. I love staying between the 15th and 21st streets to be honest. It's less crowded and cleaner. Umbrella and chair rentals galore around the beach as do places that sell usual beach knick knacks. During the summer, you will notice a LOT of exchange students and young foreigners looking for a new experience in the United States flock the beach. Spend the day at the beach and then head to Seacrets for drinks and some more summer fun! All my day trips to OC end up that way! :)

Angenelle C.

Yelp
Ocean City seems pretty run-down from the hotels to the restaurants, compared to Clearwater beach in Tampa and Miami Beach. Will not be revisiting in the future.

Kevin N.

Yelp
Ocean City has a lot to offer in terms of entertainment and relaxation activities. I've been going here since I was a kid, and can't recommend it enough on a nice weekend. Though, I will say there really isn't a good coffee place in the entirety of ocean city. Closest thing would be up the road in Delaware, and that's just the closest Starbucks.

Denise S.

Yelp
We Go Every Year! I've been going to Ocean City, MD every summer for my entire life of 54 years. I even called the beach home for two summers in my youth. This beach is your typical east coast shoreline. Good waves for body surfing or boogie boarding. Surfers try to catch waves, but waves are typically not that big. Umbrella, chair and boogie board rentals within reach along the entire 160 or so blocks of beach. Rental prices are high. 2016 prices:$20/day for umbrella, $10/day for chair. Discounts for weekly rentals. Rental staff are always friendly and helpful. If you stay the week they will have your umbrella set up every morning when you get out there. The beach is cleaned each night and there are trash cans on every block. There are very well qualified and well trained lifeguards. Lifeguard supervisors roam on vehicles throughout the day to check on things, etc. OC is a great town for a family vacation as you have the beach during the day, as well as the bay where you can rent boats and other water sports. At night you can hit the 30 block boardwalk or go out to dinner at the countless restaurants. You will find every type of cuisine and every price point. Keep in mind, OC is pricey to begin with, so if you are on a tight budget, you will have to be creative. Hotels, motels, condos, single family homes all available for rent. Enjoy!

Linda M.

Yelp
A day at the beach?? YES I think so. Clean, informative life guards, rental chairs and umbrellas if you need it. Mix of families and young people. And the fifth star because the beach is FREE.

Alexis R.

Yelp
This beach is so beautiful and I recommend this beach for a nice beach day. The water is warm and the beach is clean. The boardwalk has a lot of stores and they also have weekly concerts as well. They have a lot of activities to do and this boardwalk is quite commercialized just to let you know. This place is a perfect place for a chill beach day in the sun!

Diana M.

Yelp
Clean- Check! You don't have to pay to get in- check! Beautiful- check! Ocean- check!! LOVE OCEAN CITY!!

Jahnay M.

Yelp
I've only been to OC once and that was in March/the offseason so the beach was super peaceful and also pretty chilly, but oh so beautiful. I love how the water is so much clearer than most beaches especially in VA. Perfect beach for a nice getaway. There seems like a lot to do around the boardwalk area. Parking also seems to be pretty decent compared to some beaches.

Ro R.

Yelp
The section where N, C, T and I were hanging out was probably the best section ever. Not overly crowded and this place is just super duper clean...considering it's a beach. No trash like Coney Island, water doesn't contain high ratio of salt like Miami (burns the hells out of my eyes) and no stupid rocks like Galveston. I freaking love this beach!

William S.

Yelp
I enjoy the beach all my life. From six year of age we ben going to the beach almost every year. First say was at the Sheraton hotel and resorts on costal hwy. One year they had a paint shop on fire and we watch across from the window.Next we found a place call Serf Side Eight on 8th road. after we started to rent from condo and realtors. Saw a beach ship on the beach. The beach was getting smaller and smaller. One year I found a documentary on the beach of Ocean City MD. Man and nature. It was said that if you want beach or you what condo. But if you want beach and condo you have to pay a lot of money. Like Florida the beach was growing so small the palm tree root was sticking out. They had to do it in three stage. Stage one pump sand under ocean to bring the bottom of the ocean so many yards. make the beach longer and make a said dune. Stage two pump sand under water make the under water floor longer sand pump sand on beach lunger. Stage three build a hurricane wall. Stage one will protect a three year hurricane. Stage two will protect from a six year hurricane storm. and the wall was only build only in down town. Water us to go under the boardwalk with a bad storm come near. Now it build and people on the first floor can see the ocean from there balcony. Shops, food, seafood and pizza. Hotel and motel and more. house, condo and soda machines. Looking forward in coming to the beach. I can't swim no more. Or hot tubs.

Vanessa L.

Yelp
The beach, especially down by the boardwalk, is even clean, free and nearby to good food and entertainment. The energy is incredible. There are cops on patrol regularly as well. It's definitely been a summer tradition for me since I was a little girl and I still am not tired of it. They recently renovated the boardwalk and added more space for biking, skating and running in the morning. I believe biking and skating is only allowed until 10am in the morning or when the tram begins daily operation.

Yelp
Ocean City Beach is a great family beach, it has plenty to offer. There's lots of party at night but during the day it is very much a family area. Ocean City, Maryland's Boardwalk dates back to 1902 and is recognized as one of the best Boardwalk's in the country, they are proud of their history and show it! Featuring pristine beach, shops, eateries, amusements, night life and lodging. The wooden boardwalk is one of America's best. It has everything a family needs, you don't ever have to leave the boardwalk if you so choose. The board walk is 3 miles long and could take all day at a slow stroll and stops along the water. HIt List: Beach - no dumb rules as another reviewer mentioned. Just common sense. Use the frisbee behind the people parked on the beach. It's clean beautiful fun! Yelp
Beach patrol. A nice beach patroller from Indiana gave my 91 year old father a ride across the beach, as he was using his walker on the sand. It was 113 street. Thank you!
