Great beachside bar. We had breakfast. Good food. Husband loved his coffee with love. I ordered a mimosa. It was served in a glass full of ice. Wasn't a fan of that so I know not to order next time. Awesome staff and great views

One of the best music venues on the east coast! And right on the water looking at the waves 👍 The bands are incredible and the stage and venue has such a great vibe. One of a kind for sure. Food is great too, and the staff works hard while being friendly. Best place to come watch live music. Love the Elovators, Ravers, Dudemanbro, the DMB tribute band, yacht rock, and Red Not Chili Peppers. A must see experience in Rhode Island. The beach is right there with the deck outside. Sunday Fundays are a blast and the breakfast sandwich is really good and filling too! Great surfing here too when the conditions are right or a storm comes through.

Super fun place. Great views. The servers were friendly and attentive. We had bbreakfast-- nice selection of Eggs Benedict dishes. Perfectly poached eggs and hollandaise to die for. Worth the drive.

Dive bar. In the BEST way imaginable. Cheap drinks. Killer views. Killer drinks. Killer peeps. And worth the drive! But not at a lot of parking. Keep your eyes peeled!

The food was average, honestly I expected more of a beach side ocean state type of menu, not so Burrito, quesadilla etc. But the food was what it should be, except I asked for sauce to be pit on the side not on top and we'll it was on top. I also asked for extra sour cream, and I got almost none .. The service was up and down. The lady serving us seemed annoyed at first, then some kid helped us and he was super happy and made us feel like he wanted us there, he even checked on us 3 times while the lady must have been on a break. The atmosphere though is great, right by the water, concerts, the people, just it's like the Place you want to be in the summer. So besides the downs, the ups outweigh them, soo go !

We were in town for the URI Homecoming game and the guys wanted to get together at one of their old haunts. I could not imagine being a college kid and having this place as one of the usual places you go to meet up with friends! Life was so tough for these guys! I had a couple Bloodies...they were spicy and delicious. For lunch I ordered the Chicken Parm over penne pasta and hubby got a Cheese Burger. The food is outstanding here. Not at all what I thought a dive bar would serve! The staff were all super friendly, I mean, how can you not have a great attitude with this view and amazing co-workers? I can see why the guys were regulars here back in the day!

This is the definition of a dive beach bar and you will love everything about it!! The drinks are strong, the staff is friendly & knowledgeable and the food is excellent. 1. Start with a coffee with love or mimosas 2. Try any of the Benedict's and regular and vegan hash, it's delicious 3. Stay for the live music!!

Imagine a dive bar with awesome food, huge bar and a deck that overhangs the ocean while looking at one of the best surf spots around and that's the mist. Music on the weekends. Sunsets, storms, polar plunge are all good reasons to be there. Breakfast is a must.

Love this mist for live shows and summer drinks! The view is amazing. The bartenders are efficient. The drinks are tasty. I know they do food but I haven't eaten there in a while. Overall a totally fun time!

We were pleasantly surprised by this local hot spot and dive! The drinks are strong, the live music is infectious, and the crowd is lively yet respectful. We enjoyed both brunch and late night music here. The brunch was hearty - they recommend the "Coffee with Love" which is a boozy iced coffee and a house special "for as long as they can remember". We ate the California Eggs Benedict and the Breakfast Tacos - and enjoyed their wide array of hot sauces to try! The brunch service was kind, quick, attentive and friendly despite it being absolute chaos on a busy weekend morning.

This place is a mood all into itself. It is decidedly dive-y, yet the food is really good... especially for brunch. I had an absolutely humongous omelette that was cooked to perfection, meaning, no runny, yucky stuff in the middle. I also cannot say enough about the Bloody Marys. They were dangerously good. Our server was a little bit grumpy, but somehow his curtness matched the mood of the place and was not troublesome. And if you are lucky enough to get a seat by the window, the ocean view cannot be beat. Pro tip: if you have to use the ladies room, bring a couple of paper napkins with you. You never know when this place will have toilet paper or paper towels :-) !

This place is my jam.... Any chance I can talk the hubs into going, we are there. This year we celebrated NYE and my birthday here, that's how addicted I am. From brunch to Monday night Bingo, the O Mist does it right. In the AM I recommend the jungle pile up, essentially nachos with eggs. If not that, their bennies are delicious. For a starter, we always order the clams in garlic sauce. I really enjoy their tacos. As previously mentioned, they have Bingo on Monday nights serving discounted tacos after 8 pm. Their bartenders rock, be kind to them and tip them well

Been here twice for brunch and it always hits. The corned beef hash is so good! We have sat at the bar and the service has been excellent! Quirky bar but so fun!

The BEST chili with a cold beer! Service was excellent; they gave me time to peruse the menu. It's such a unique setting to sit on the back deck, see and listen to the ocean waves. What a great, funky place.

Hey how could I have not reviewed the Ocean Mist, I've been going here for year, mostly for breakfast and lunch. It's your basic beach bar that had bands at time, mostly in the evening, big bar inside, and a fair amount of patio seating and an excellent view of R.I. sound, on a car day you can see Block Island too! I like the omelets here and especially like the breakfast in general, my only complaint is the ice coffee is only barely ok. For lunch the seafood tacos are excellent. Service is good and prices moderate. Go here and experience it before it falls into the ocean!

You come here to enjoy the views while having a cocktail and listen to music. Parking is almost always a hassle and the food is just ok. Stick to the drinks and views while we still have ocean front restaurants.

The bar has a lot of character. It's nice to see places that are unique & a local institution. The outdoor area in the summer is an absolute must as you are right on the water. They offer fun & different cocktails & also include a solid selection of national & local beers. The place is never not busy so the service does tend to suffer. The food was alright. The servings are plentiful but I found it hard to eat & generally not overly good but also not bad either. You'll find a good mix of older locals & seasonal college student here. Just remember to bring your ID as they check it at the door.

Delicious food in a fun location. I was a bit skeptical about dill on a lobster roll but it was very good and I loved that they used a brioche bun. I was there for Max Creek but very pleased with dinner!!

The vibe is relaxed beach dive bar ish. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is reasonably priced and decent. The menu is standard beach bar food. We sat at the bar today and watched as they made drinks and saw that they pour a good drink which is nice because a lot of places water it down and over charge. They always have all kinds of activities and live music. The view is unbeatable as O Mist is right on the water. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I always feel comfortable here. Now there are in my mind only two real cons... The first con is that parking can be a bit nightmarish but if you aren't cheap like me you can pay to park which is a bit easier. When it's really busy expect that you'll have a hard time parking tho. The second con is the women's bathroom. It's always been clean when I go in there but the entire bathroom is so small for the size of the bar. Which means the stalls are tiny and your face is practically up against the door/shower curtains and that kinda grosses me out a bit. Other than those two things I think it's a fun place.

This is a great venue for food and entertainment. I just wish they would hire that Wuhon band. I have so much about but they have some of the best.

Really cool Narragansett bar. Only been once but i vibed. Very impressive bc there was no music and still a fun vibe. Good view of block island.

Service: 3 stars Kid friendly: 1 star I have heard time and time again people rave over the Ocean Mist. I told my husband it was my goal to get there this summer. I took a half day and we packed up the kids and we went! I did previously make a reservation - very easy off their website. I was very unsure what I was walking into... We were seated inside along the window overlooking the deck and the ocean. Kudos on the view! As a parent there are no high chairs and forget space to change a child in the bathrooms. But let's talk about the ladies room. 3 toilets. Two stalls clearly used to have doors that have broken and are now replaced with curtains. The curtains had to have been the cheapest of the cheep somewhere. But they made me laugh- they had bible quotes on them! Our waitress was nice and did a good job. I had a Del's alcoholic beverage. it was way more alcohol than Del's flavor but that's the type of place this is. This is a place to cut loose, relax and have a good time. The music- easy listening hits from yesteryear. Put you in a good mood. I had a pulled pork sandwich. It was messy as hell but it was tasty. And all you condiment lovers out there- Ocean Mist has the good blue cheese! The place looks unfinished but the vibe is chill and people are happy so yes to it all! Next time it will be an adult trip to the beach.

My 2 cousins and my sister-in-law went here for some drinks and apps on the Fourth of July. They ordered the special "Buffalo calamari," chicken tenders as well as some alcoholic beverages. They got 2 drinks each (which is nothing for them) and came back very tipsy. They said they had never experienced anything like it. After about 2 hours of getting home, the 3 of them got very sick. We first thought it was from the drinks, but this was not a one time thing. It ruined our Independence Day celebration. A few years prior, I went here with my boyfriend and our burgers were served gray with a raw texture. We didn't end up eating them. I question the cleanliness of this place. Also, the staff is kind of obnoxious. Needless to say, we are not going back.

First time back in a couple years, used to be a great spot. This place has taken a nose dive unfortunately. Quality in food and service took a downturn.

This place has AWEFUL service, everyone was incompetent from hostesses to the servers and managers. The server brought out a drink that wasn't ordered and so my lunch guest felt bad about the servers mistake and didn't want to send it back and when it was knocked over at full brim instead of replacing it they said no one saw what happened and they didn't believe us (though there was a puddle of liquid on the deck) and said we lied. When I asked to speak to the general manager about the poor service and not even being served or offered water on a hot day the bar worker claimed to be the most senior manager refused the request. Also, upon arrival the hostess was extremely confused about the process concerning our request to sit outside when there was yet to be a vacancy and I had to point out there was an open table that needed to just be bussed. VERY BAD food too, PORTY-POTTIES for bathrooms-- gross!!!!!!! I've also been informed they have pending lawsuits as they've unconscionably overserved people drinks who have died immediately after leaving their estsblishment-- do not support this dump! They should be put out of business by authorities.

Definitely a local gem! The ambience is all its own. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast food is awesome! Very unique options! The coffee with love is not for the faint of heart!

What's not to love about a seaside bar with great food, music, drinks, and views? Could it be a little cleaner...maybe but the vibe is sooo cool, you don't notice it. Staff is good in a nice laid back way, burgers and fries are excellent, prices are fair. You'll want a OM tee shirt when you're done!

We were staying just down the road and were able to walk over for breakfast. It was busier than you might expect at 9 am, especially for a beach bar. It over looks a surfer haven, so there was a small group there watching the surfers. By the time we left, this place was hopping and when we drove by an hour or so later, there was a line up the side. Lots of college kids with a few groups of older adults and even a family or two. We sat on the deck overlooking the water. Breakfast was great. I had the Vegetarian Huevos and my husband got the Matunuck Border. The veggie hash was perfect and they offered up hot sauce and brought a flight of bottles to choose from. There was so much French toast on my husband's plate and he only ate half. I had a Bloody Mary that was not too spicy. We tried to pop in for a drink the night before but they had a band and a cover, so we opted not to. We would have tried for dinner later that day, but we needed up on a schedule that didn't work. On street parking only and it's pretty busy if it's a nice day because there are so many surfers. If you're not sure, go!

YOU CANNOT BEAT THE VIEWS. Coffee with love is a 10/10. Food was solid (only had breakfast). A great atmosphere if you are going with friends/family and want a good time.

Hello- Responding to Susan R's review from earlier today. We sat next to her table and saw her disrespect and lies toward employees. Her guest was clearly embarrassed - and he apologized to the waiter and told told him he'd be back - but not with her. He left without her. Our experience - same waiter- he was so cool, attentive and the food was great. Susan asking the waiter "Where are the Asians?" Then replying herself , "they're at the university." Was super awkward. On a side note- we heard Susan R ask the waiter for a table cloth-- said she was cold. It was 70 degrees and overcast. Based on our observation- Susan F is NOT a reputable review....clearly looking for something for nothing. Go elsewhere Susan. To Susan's Guest-- we don't blame you for ditching. PS- Steven ;) You are an asset to the OM. Sorry you had to experience that.

We were so impressed with the Ocean Mist venue as a perfect live most space, an incredibly well-run restaurant, and lastly, a welcoming local breakfast, lunch and dinner, hang-out for all ages! The night we went I had requested reserved seating because we were driving from PA to RI. I'm disabled and my knees are bone on bone and extremely painful. The wonderful manager reserved seats for us and we enjoyed the selection of beers and cocktails. It was mildly crowded but I we enjoyed conversations with many regulars. We highly recommend seeing any live music at this venue. It's comfortable like a cozy living r

Good overall experience. Super chill and relaxed vibe with a fantastic view. Tried the fish tacos which were not fried or grilled, but actually poached in white wine and garlic. They were tender and juicy and very flavorful. It was unexpected and a generous yet perfect portion size along with the sides. Also enjoyed a watermelon margarita and it was the perfect addition to the meal. Would happily stop by again in the future!

The establishment CARDS TO ENSURE YOU'RE 21+ because it's a bar. It's a chill, beach surfer-esque restaurant bar with a great vibe. My advice to families with kids**: I've noticed earlier in the morning for breakfast and brunch they don't card, but to keep the environment for what it is, keep it adults only. It's not set up for children. I'm not being an asshole, it's a sincere recommendation. It's a bar. Adults 21+: take your ID. I've seen several reviews below of people complaining couldn't enter to "just eat" without their ID. So bring your ID, its simple. It's a bar. The breakfast: Rocking!! Love the smoked salmon eggs benedict. It's usually my go-to. I ask for the hollondais sauce on the side. I only eat the breakfast menu, sorry I can't speak on the other parts of the menu. Bar: Must try: the "coffee with love" which is like a long island ice tea, iced coffee. The view: Depending on how windy/chilly outside is how you'll determine in-or-out. On a windy day you'll see dozens of surfers. The establishment even has a "surf cam" on their website. The staff: They work hard and are efficient. Been 4x now and had all organized, positive experiences.

My parents are on vacation in the area and we love coming to this brunch spot for some amazing food. I went with the Irish Benedict and it was absolutely delicious! I love their homemade Corn beef hash. With it being right on the ocean and awesome music it is a must when visiting the area!

If you are looking for a place with a view - this is the bar you've been looking for. I can't say enough for the view of this place. It's one of the more mesmerizing locations I have had the opportunity to watch the sun set and enjoy some cold beverages with some random people who were equally inviting as the views. However, these types of experiences do not come without a cost. I'm not talking necessarily about the price of the drinks or the food (we browsed but did not eat here), but rather at the cost of overly aggressive tourists and inebriated young males looking to start something. Eventually after a long wait at the bar and attempting to find a seat to take in the views we were able to enjoy our locally crafted brews with some nice locals. We just began chatting with them and they offered us a seat at the 4-top out back they had recently swiped from exiting patrons. Prior to that we were essentially elbowed out of the way of sitting down by 6 aggressive vacationers and run into multiple times by younger males who then became aggressive when asked to kindly watch where they were walking (they almost knocked my wife over). The days of getting riled up by such ridiculousness are far behind me and this location seems to draw this sort of crowd after a long day at the beach. The staff was doing their best to accommodate all of the people, but we waited at the bar (not behind people eating or anything) for over 15 minutes before we were acknowledged and asked if we knew what we wanted to order. This eventually shortened on our 2nd and 3rd visit but to 10ish minutes each time, and maybe a bit longer to get the check. While I can appreciate a laid back atmosphere or not always being in a rush but the wait was not due to that, but rather to just ignoring certain parts of the sizable bar for chunks of time. In the end, I'm glad we waited to watch the sunset here and take in everything that Ocean Mist has to offer. However, it may be a one-and-done kind of experience for us. It is a view that should be experienced by everyone in the area and would probably be a great time if you are into the live music and lively nightlife scene, but those days are a bit behind us.

The wife and I took my son for breakfast. While we know how good the food, the drinks and the view are... we requested hot sauce with our meal. The waiter brought out the "rack" of various hot sauces. One was far superior than the rest. A "Nachomama" chipotle sauce. We checked the label, looked up the website. And nada. My son asked the waiter what's the deal? With a brief explanation of "who knows" this guy went into the attic, grabbed two more bottles, and gave them to us. No fee. No hardship. No nothing. This waiter, and this establishment will always hold a special place in my heart because it is a special place.

We were seated right away on a busy President's Day Monday holiday. Weather was gorgeous-- the newly renovated bar area and restaurant seating was busy. Our server, Sarah, was awesome! She was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable of the extensive food and drink menu. Drinks are tall and tasty and our seafood choices for appetizers and main meals were cooked perfectly with generous portions. The views of the Atlantic with Block Island on the horizon never ceases to amaze.

Every time I have come to the Ocean Mist I have been greeted with great food and drinks! Even during this pandemic everyone was working hard to keep things safe for us patrons. This trip I had a burger and fries and It was solid. One of my table mates had nachos that were huge but I didn't get a picture. I always make it a point to come to The Ocean Mist when in the Matunuck area for food and booze!!

Exactly what you want when you are down by the beach! Strong drinks, good food, and the waves right there. The lobster rolls were amazing. We will be back!

I'm not sure how we've made it this far in life without reviewing the ocean mist. We've come here countless times over the years and it's solid south county staple. Ticket tuesdays got me through college and the countless awesome times here throughout the summers can't be beat. Their breakfast is awesome, I highly recommend the breakfast burrito. It's huge!!Some of the breakfast drinks can be pricy, so stick with what you know and love. My mom's a huge fan of the crabby benny, she says it's "egg-celent." The location can't be beat and the service is usually spot on. One of my favorite places in south county. Things to try - the breakfast burrito and bloody marys are a must. Sit on the deck and have a drink! Ticket tuesday, try it at least once even if you're boring. Things to avoid - adding meat to the burrito isn't worth the few dollars, not much goes into it (still delish don't get me wrong). Also coffee with love not worth $12 for some coffee/baileys/kaluah (patron cafe?)

Stopped in here while visiting Rhode Island for the weekend for brunch. First and foremost, the bar is great. It has amazing views and the inside bar area, which obviously was closed due to covid is very cool and seems like a great place to see a live show. Couple of things were weird. We were there at 11:30 and I ordered a BBQ sandwich, which was recommended. The waiter told me they don't do lunch until noon, so we had to wait until noon to place the order. Annoying and dumb. Brunch is suppose to be a combo of lunch and dinner. When the food finally arrived it wasn't very good. The pork was soggy and flavorless. Sandwich pretty much fell apart. We also ordered wings which were OK at best. Mostly dry. If not for the views and cool setup this review would probably be lower. Wouldn't certainly come back to pound some beers with the boys though!

This place should not even get any stars. Showed up for our 5 pm reservation and the lady at the front said to us, let me make sure we didn't fill that table. So that was 1 issue Number 2 We were seated and waited 13 mins before our waitress Christina showed up. She was rude and not inviting at all. Me and my partner ordered our drinks and entrees Because we knew we would wait for ever. FOOD WAS HORRIBLE FOOD WAS HORRIBLE FOOD WAS HORRIBLE We did t even finish anything g on our plates. We Picked at what was kinda ok. Waitress Christina Never asked us how everything was We asked for our check and waited again. She finally came back and we were about to leave and I realized she took my beer. WTF I had a half a beer left. Like what the fuck Never again Never again Don't recommend at all.

This place sold out. They cater to the college crowd playing house music at 10 am on a Saturday. I use to enjoy getting food here on the weekend with friends. Now there's a bunch of kids from URI being rude to everyone. Figure it out Kevin the town is disappointed in you.

Love this place! I hear the food is great, though I've never eaten here. I've gone so many times, but only for cocktails and/or concerts. Legit, my favorite spot ever! The restaurant/club sits on stilts IN THE OCEAN! Makes for cooling breezes after dancing or great photo ops! Also has a "beach bar" outdoors, complete with sand...lends to the overall beach vibe!

Would never recommend this place to anyone. Beyond rude waiters and staff. I asked them to please use their charger they said no. I have never been denied to charge my phone before except here. Overpriced for the food and drinks. Do not go here if you have another options. Never a place I will give my money again, the way they treat their customer has me beyond confused. Do not support this business.

This venue does have really good live music. Everyone is friendly and happy. Good food, too. I especially enjoyed the brunch. I had Eggs Benedict with crabb. Outrageously yummy. I look forward to going back soon.
