This Is the No. 1 Beach in the U.S. Southeast—and It Has Some of the Bluest and Clearest Waters in the Nation

"Located on Florida's eastern coast, I found Ocean Reef Park in Riviera, Florida, to stand above the rest — a recent study from Beach.com named it the best beach in the southeastern U.S., and it's roughly 13 acres in size." - Lydia Price Lydia Price Lydia Price is a senior engagement editor at Travel + Leisure, where she hosts short-form videos and leads content engagement initiatives. We had an amazing day here! Lots of snorkeling fun and so much sea life to swim with. We saw squids, lots of different kinds of fish, and even a nurse shark! Being able to swim with the schools of little fish is magical. Definitely will be back again as it was worth the 2-3 hour drive from the golf side of the state. I will say the sand is HOT!!! wear something protective not flip flops...you will burn your feet!!!!

Google
Nice beach park with plenty of parking. Nice family park there space for private grilling while the kids and grandkids enjoy the water

Google
Such a beautiful park with picnic tables, charcoal grills, free parking, and lots of trees for shade. There are bathrooms and outdoor showers to rinse yourself. Make sure to bring plenty of water, as their water fountains don’t work.

K H.

Google
We were there 10/11/2025. NO swimming, beach walk looked like a cliff from the angry ocean.

Nicole M.

Google
Great spot for shells walking the beach waves crashing in causing geysers at high tide. Singer Island ❤️

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise! I ended going to this beach because we were turned away due to no more available parking at Phil Foster Park. This lovely beach has a really nice coast line and is really a family friendly beach! There is a play ground for the little kids to play, a picnic area and clean bathrooms!

Yelp
Had a great day today at the beach. Saw a Green sea turtle and possibly a shark off in the distance. Water was mostly clear with 76 degree temperatures. Overall it was fun:)

Yelp
Ocean Reef Park is a beautiful 12.62 acre beach front park in Riviera Beach. The park has 700 feet of life guarded beach, a picnic pavilion, restrooms, picnic tables, grills, showers, playground, and best of all, a large free parking lot. Free beach parking is sadly extinct in Broward County. Salt water fishing is allowed in the park. Grab a bucket from the cleanup station on the boardwalk and get some exercise picking up trash and leave the beach better than you found it and help sea turtles. The use of balloons in the park is prohibited to protect wildlife. A beach wheelchair can be requested from the lifeguard station. I loved discovering this tropical oasis. It is perfect for a picnic, swimming, snorkeling, and laying out on the beach. If I am going to enjoy a relaxing beach day I prefer to go to north. This park is going to be added to the favorites rotation. If you want even more great snorkeling, Phil Foster park at the base of the bridge is only a short drive away. Along with Peanut Island, this area has a fantastic selection of ways to enjoy Palm Beach aquatic recreation.

Yelp
Plenty of parking, picnic tables with grills, lifeguard on duty. It's right next to the Marriott Singer Island. It has restroom facilities and a playground.

Yelp
Nicely kept public and free park with beach access on Singer island. There's a public restroom and life guard at the beach. There's some rocky formations at the beach with plenty to find whilst walking around if you want to look for rocks or sea shells. No fishing is allowed on this beach but there's plenty of fish in the shallow waters.

Yelp
This is our favorite beach. It's clean, it's not usually too crowded, and there's a nice shady walk from the parking lot to the beach. They also have some pavilions and a playground near the parking lot that I do t think I have ever seen empty. Overall, it's a nice beach.

Yelp
An absolute gem of a beach! Crystal clear waters and the rocks make a fun diving zone.

Yelp
This was such an amazing park/beach to take our kids to . Beautiful scenery and an awesome spot for snorkeling !

Yelp
Clean beach and a real plus is free parking! Restaurant and and food tents are close by for a cool drinks and s bite to eat! It's an option to rent a chair and umbrella. They are reasonable to purchase by cash or credit. $15 per hour for umbrella and chairs combo. Doing separately is like $19. $50.00 for the whole day! If I had time that would have been my option, especially with a few friends.

Yelp
This beach is absolutely beautiful. It has the small beach feel even amongst hotels. There are some fun rock areas, but plenty of soft sand and non-rocky areas.

Yelp
Great beach with tons of free parking, nice sand, and crystal clear blue water in June. The only downside is that the walk from the free parking lot is long and can be very tiring on a super hot day. There were showers to clean yourself off after the beach. I didn't see any change rooms or restrooms.

Yelp
This is a beautiful beach! The sand is a perfect light brown color. The Sea is blue/green...so tropical! Once in the water, you will feel like you are in the Caribbean Islands.I am from the Caribbean and I feel right at home here. There is lots of Parking, and you feel safe. The rocks are amazing and they will not cut your feet. We took some great family pics there...what a gorgeous Beach!

Yelp
One of the best beaches I've been to! Super clean and the water is gorgeous. Pristine warm water.....take me back!!!! My family and I have been to some amazing beaches and this is by far one of the best!

Yelp
Great beach. Free parking. Kids playground. You can walk out to a little reef at low tide. The beach is on the small side but overall a great place.

Yelp
This was without a doubt the place I enjoyed the most during my visit to Florida! It's so beautiful and clean, I wanted to stay longer. The restrooms and showers are at the entrance of the park, they are kinda far from the beach so use them before making the walk down the beach. The water is so clean and mostly calm, it feels like Cancun to be honest. Beach was a little crowded but not too bad. There are lifeguards on duty so it's safe. It's definitely a place you need to visit. The only complain I have is the showers were not working (at least on that particular day) so we left with sand in undesirable places lol other than that it's great.

Sara S.

Yelp
Great parking. The ocean is a gorgeous light blue! I am from the west coast of Florida, and definitely recommend this beach park.

Yelp
Soooooo happy I found this beach. Free & easy parking is what initially drew me. Its pretty and clean. The beach itself is usually pretty packed with tourists because of all the hotels, but I've never had an issue getting a prime spot. Its also not so chaotic that it distracts you from being able to relax. This is definetly going to be my go-to beach from now on.

Yelp
Great beach - lots of parking. No rocks, and lots of shells for the kids to look through. Nice playground and covered areas.
google avatar

Eliana G.

Yelp
We walked here from the riviera beach entrance and it was just gorgeous. It's about a two mile walk each way. Sunrises are unbelievably beautiful!
google avatar

Andrea E.

Yelp
This is a great beach! There is lots of space and it's very clean. There are bathrooms very close by and on either side there are resorts that you can rent an umbrella/cabana area from.

Maria P.

Yelp
One of the best beach in Florida, very clean, no plastic or bottles around, like certain beach in Miami. Thank you for keeping it like that.

Dana M.

Yelp
Nice park and beach. Bring chairs and food- nothing close by to eat. You can rent chairs from Marriott or Hilton for $20 a chair. Can rent bikes at Hilton. We biked to John MacArthur Park which was about a mile away but really pristine- $10 a bike, $2 park entry fee
google avatar

Marie S.

Yelp
I really like the setting, small and private. It isn't overcrowded and there are benches up front and a pavilion before you get to the actual beach. Parking is free and it isn't overly crowded. Clean, nice, relaxing beach hang out.
google avatar

Julio G.

Yelp
Awesome little park with barbecues and plenty of free parking. There is a small but lovely estuary that you walk through before arriving at a clean sparsely populated beach. I really enjoyed m day here. Water was clean and not crowded. Bring your own chairs and everything, but otherwise this place is great.
google avatar

Alina P.

Yelp
This is my favorite beach so far in Palm Beach. The water is very clean for miles and the beach is only white sand. Free parking which is close to the beach and not so populated. Love love love this beach !
google avatar

Jenny H.

Yelp
Best beach! It has free parking and crystal clear water! It may not have the west coast sand, but it definitely beats out any other beach in PBC.

Moy H.

Yelp
Great place to hang out, free parking, the beach looks clean and water is clear. Glad I found it.

Lauren K.

Yelp
Beautiful beach park with free parking. My whole family enjoyed a late afternoon here, my 18 month old daughter was intrigued by the giant sandbox (first time at the beach!). It's a quiet, secluded area, perfect for a family outing, but bring your own food and drinks, there isn't much around.
