Ocean Resort Inn

I always wanted to give the Ocean Resort a stay, and I am happy I did. I didn't have to drive unless going to ditch, the lighthouse, or up north, minute walks to some of my favorite spots, restaurants, and a 30 second walk to the beaches in town. The staff was extremely friendly and caring. The place is spotless as well. Montauk is like a second home, but things have changed in recent years for me. Being able to stay somewhere like this was a pleasant change. Thank you everyone at the Ocean Resort, See you soon.

Our first time to Montauk. Our 5 night stay here was perfect for us, party of 4. We had a suite with separate bedroom and a standard room next door upstairs. Rooms were extremely nice and updated. The bathrooms especially. It was quiet. The pool is big and heated. They offer beach and pool towels. Also have beach chairs and umbrellas for you to borrow. The location was perfect to easily walk across the street to the beach and 2 blocks to town square. Lots of restaurants nearby to walk to. The grocery was only 2 blocks away. WiFi was even great for a few half days of work. The front desk was friendly and helpful for anything. I would definitely stay here again!

Once again a wonderful experience. Staff and management are outstanding. The resort is perfectly maintained and the service is the best around. Will continue to return year after year. Location and atmosphere couldn’t be better. Can’t wait until next year

We had a fabulous time! Staff was so nice and we loved, Joe, who checked us in! He gave us some really good recommendations so we made the most of our trip!

We love the ocean resort inn, great location a few blocks from town and a few steps from the ocean. The hotel has a beautiful heated pool and lounge chairs all around the border including a shaded area. The rooms are super clean and cozy with lovely decor. Cant wait to go back!

Good place in a great location with great service. Katerina is fantastic and made our stay easy and pleasant as well as the other staff we interacted with. It's just across the street from the beach, a couple blocks from shopping and restaurants and has most of what you need for the beach including towels, beach umbrellas and folding beach chairs included. Our studio queen room was clean and big enough. The bathroom was nice and the bed is firm but comfortable. We'll be back again next year. Update 8-23-24. We come back and stay here every other year fit our anniversary. They have updated/ upgraded the rooms and office within the last couple years and now use wooden floors (probably a laminate) in the rooms which is great. Makes sense and prevents that sticky carpet problem that all beachside hotels have. The rooms are still otherwise plenty big and plenty nice. The location is directly across the street from a beach access point. They have parking and towels and beach chairs and beach umbrellas for free. Access to the heated pool next door included. Every member of the staff is still pleasant and helpful and smiley. It's just a happy place. I still recommend as a less expensive but just as good alternative to many of the higher cost options in Montauk.

I have just returned from my stay here, and I am giving it a 5 star rating all around. The rooms were clean and very well taken care of. The hotel staff were very very nice and took care of any of my needs. The location is beautiful and is within walking distance of restaurants and things to do. I have stayed in many places in Montauk before but I find that this is my favorite place and will be coming back next year. Also, I have to say Sebastian at the front office was so wonderful from the first day when I made the wrong reservations and he help me fix them till the day I left. Very very nice very helpful and just perfect.

We really enjoyed this hotel! It was cute, clean, and very close to the beach. The pool area is very private and they had chairs, umbrellas, and towels to take to the beach. Hotel is also walking distance from shops and restaurants. Great place for families as we had our toddler with us and there were toys at the pool and it was quiet and not a party atmosphere. We stayed right before Memorial Day and loved our stay. We had looked at multiple hotels and this was our first time to the area, I'm glad we went with this one. We actually were more pleasantly surprised with the room and stay than we expected. They worked with us on a late check in, the room and bathroom were great, everything was clean, walking distance to shops and restaurants, walking across the street and you're on the beach. We did use the beach chairs and umbrella one afternoon, those did have some mold or mold stains on there and umbrella was bent..but could still use them. I think they are due for cleaning after the winter, or maybe replacement. The sister property has the pool and we spent some time on the hammock and lounge chairs. They had some shade, which was great bc it was needed for someone fair skinned in our party. We tried swimming but it was just a tad too chilly to swim yet for me. One night there wasn't enough parking but we parked on the grass across the street and were told by security that it was fine. A con I'd say is when you hang the privacy placard on the door, the housekeepers still come into your room, and leave a tip envelope.. that irritated me that they disregarded the privacy placard. But hopefully management will see this and pass on the message so that won't happen to you. Hope that gives you an idea of what to expect. Overall would definitely recommend this hotel to others :)

I spent hours looking for a place to stay in Montauk, and I wasn't sure if I could trust so many good reviews on this place but I took a chance. I am so happy I did, because this is the best place I've stayed in over a decade. Worth every penny. Everything they say on their website is true. My favorite part is the shower. I wish I could live in it. Highly recommend, and we will certainly be coming back next year.

My family and I went during off season for our first Montauk trip and decided to book a few nights at the ocean resort inn. Glad we chose to stay here! The location is strategically located by all the restaurants / coffee shops, it's very close to the beach, our room is also very clean. We requested a few extra things and the staff is also friendly and very accommodating.

Really enjoyed my short but sweet stay here. Sebastian who greeted us during check-in is an extremely nice, easy going guy who was able to answer all of my questions. The grounds and the room, are clean, cozy, comfortable and airy. I love it here, I'll be back. Good: -Free parking -Literally across the street from the beach entrance -Comfortable bed -Pool area includes: hammocks, and shaded beach chairs to read and/or nap -Bikes that can be borrowed for free -Outdoor patio area by reception is great and includes: an outdoor shower grills to cook food with picnic table to eat on a bin that has beach chairs, and sun umbrellas to borrow at the beach Bad: -None

My husband and I recently stayed at the Ocean Resort Inn in Montauk.  We have previously stayed at other hotels in Montauk, each of which were much more expensive.  We chose this hotel based on price and location..  It was a few hundred dollars cheaper than all the other hotels that we had stayed at..  I have to say that we were extremely happy with our accommodations.   The room was recently refurbished and was very bright.  There was a flat screen TV, plenty of room, nice shower with excellent water pressure, a refrigerator with a freezer. The help was very accommodating.  A nice bonus was that they provided towels, chairs and umbrellas for the beach, as well as bicycles to use while staying there.  There were some tables with umbrellas for guests to use, as well as several grills.  it should be noted that these grills were cleaned each day and covered, which is impressive!  There was a pool, but we never used it, as we spent the days at the beach.   The location on S. Emerson Avenue, is really convenient.  There is an entrance to the beach directly across the street and the Plaza, which is the center of town, is just a few blocks away.  We parked our car when we arrived and never moved it until we left, as everything we needed was within walking distance. We will come back to this hotel next year when we return to Montauk.  We recommend the Ocean Resort Inn to anyone who wants to enjoy Montauk, without having to spend an insane amount of money.

This place was not only clean and quiet but the service was wonderful. The staff was very hospitable, allowing us to continue using the amenities for the afternoon post check-out. They even gave us a free upgrade to a suite! The hotel is in a central location, within walking distance to all the great restaurants and bars, and of course the beach! The hotel provides towels, chairs and umbrellas. Though we were only there for a two days and one night, the experience left us ready to make another trip out very soon.

This is certainly a keeper!! What a pleasant surprise. We stayed from Monday to Thursday & were sorry to leave. The suite was bright and sparkling clean. We found the bed to be so comfortable that we asked for the name of the manufacturer. The guests can help themselves to beach chairs & towels. There are many amenities available. The managers are so accommodating & friendly. Having the beach right across the road was such a treat. Definitely going back & staying longer next time.

Stayed here for two nights . Beach is right across the street . From the very clean room to beach chairs and umbrellas to great shampoos and amazing housekeeping . Its apparent management here is passionette about providing their guests a want for nothing experience . I would not hesitate to come back here . Kind of place that makes you want to Yelp !

I had the greatest experience here. Montauk in itself is a beautiful and relaxing beach town, but since this was my first time searching for a hotel in the area, I had my concerns about choosing the right place. I booked a room during the last week of the off-season and got a great deal (only downfall was the occasional rain, but we got some nice weather towards the end). The Inn is right across the street from the beach, so if you book a room on the second floor you may be able to get a view. However the windows all seem to face the public balcony so we kept our blinds closed most of the time. It's also a block away from Main street, so there's plenty to do within walking distance. I definitely suggest going for breakfast/brunch at any of the nearby diners. The front desk staff were very friendly and had lots of suggestions on things to do and places to eat in the area. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. If you're expecting a 5-star suite, you'll obviously be disappointed, but we were more than satisfied. We did have a minor issue with the shower because the water temperature is hard to control, but honestly we enjoyed ourselves so much during our trip that it hardly mattered. The grounds are gorgeous! They have a hammock, porch swing and outdoor shower to wash off the sand from the beach. Parking might be an issue if you go during the peak season but for us it was no problem. We're planning on making Montauk a yearly destination so we will definitely be back!

Great hotel for price and location! Service was so nice, attentive, and professional. Can't beat the location, amenities ( beach chairs, wagons, bikes, BBQ, outdoor shower, beach towels) and the brand new bathrooms and updated rooms. We plan on visiting this hotel again!

Been staying here for years now and it just keeps getting better. I kind of don't want to tell people and keep this place to myself. It's really mtk's best kept secret. You can ready my older reviews to see info on amenities - but basically even the more expensive hotels won't offer you what this place does. Location and service are the best. Clean and constantly being improved. The staff really cares. Katerina and Sebastian really want you to be happy and relaxed so if you need something tell them. They run this place and do an amazing job. You shouldn't fine teens partying here and it's quiet In the evenings. You can walk to town from here. Entrance to beach is across the street.

Very cute motel, steps from the beach. The staff were great, and had everything we needed including bikes we borrowed that were in good shape. (Warning - ride to the light house is not flat! :)) Hard to believe rates are so high for the rooms but think it is a value comparatively with other places we looked at. Very close and convenient to walk to the downtown area.

I would stay here 100 times! This hotel is immaculate. Our modern beach themed room with queen bed was on the smaller side but what it lacked in space it made up for in cleanliness, comfort and amenities. We were able to comfortably get ready for a welcome party and a wedding. No problems at all. They have an iron and a small size ironing board. Cable TV, table, chairs and a very comfortable bed. The room could use a few more outlets or a charging station but honestly we had no issues. They have a beautiful HEATED salt water swimming pool that it shares with its sister property next store. They also have a separate outside lounge area with a hammock and lots of lounge chairs. The property is week kept and has flowers - it is really cared for. The cleaning staff even mop the outside walkway! The inn offers FREE bike rentals and free beach chairs and separate towels to use for the beach. Oh! And they are just STEPS from the beach!

With a plethora of motel-style choices, we were happy to land here. Pros: Adorable and quaint. Staff is lovely and so personable. Free bike rentals and boogie boards. Private courtyard with bench swings, beach chairs and outdoor shower. Across the street beach access. Walking distance to town (local map provided). Room amenities: Biodegradable shower products, water bottles, alarm clock with a USB attachment to play music! Good size closet for storage and clothes. Flat screen TVs. Menu and local attractions binder. Small window next to A/C - Heating unit and window in bath room for for cross ventilation. Cons: Not great sound barrier between rooms. Mattresses definitely need to be updated, as well as the carpets which are not a great color (personal preference). Recommendations: Reserve an upstairs corner unit for most privacy and best views, with private picnic table. Bring your own pillows unless you love a super fat firm pillow.

What a great place! No, really...GREAT! Not just because we were upgraded without us having to asking. (Thank You!) The room had: -TWO bathrooms -a jacuzzi -a coffee pot with coffee and such -a refrigerator with freezer -a microwave -many personal items (mouthwash, toothpaste, shower cap, floss, mending kit, and a whole lot more) -was very clean and modern -plenty of clean towels -and was a stones throw from the beach across the street. I loved the bed. I have herniated discs, so a bed that's a little soft is perfect for me. This would be the first time I ever slept away from home and didn't have to take muscle relaxers immediately upon waking up! The grounds are well kept. They have a salt water pool and bench style swings to while away the day. Also helpful, you're about a two block walk to Main Street, which I'm sure would be helpful during the busy season. (We visited in October) My only complaint, and this won't effect everyone. No hand held shower head in either bathroom. With back issues often comes flexibility issues. A removable shower head in either shower would have helped tremendously.

I just got back and I simply had to write a review for this fine establishment. You rarely see a business getting consistent rave reviews and I can see why this place does. I absolutely adored the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Everything about this hotel, and its attention to detail is extremely well thought it. The amenities: complimentary bikes, beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas (none of which I used since it was pretty cold but amazing that they offer). Welcome refreshments which included water, peanuts, chocolate such a nice touch. Toiletries include your standard shampoo, conditioner, soap, face soap, lotion, plus toothpaste, mouthwash, nail file, q-tips, shower cap, makeup remover, floss picks. Things you don't even get at a fancy hotel lol. There were plenty of towels. The softest hotel towels ever. There were even beach towels. A throw blanket for the couch which I definitely used since it was chilly. Other standard amenities: hair dryer, iron, fridge, coffee maker, plus microwave which is not that standard. The room was modern and beachy with nice décor. I wanted to live there. Super clean. There wasn't one thing to complain about. The front desk person Katerina was so pleasant and helpful. So were the other staff. Walking distance to the main street with restaurants and shops. Across the street from the beach. Just such a happy find that I almost wanna keep a secret lol. Please keep up the amazing job because I will surely stay there again!!!

Had a wonderful time over the weekend at Ocean Resort Inn. The rooms were super clean and updated. The location was perfect right across the street from the beach and walking distance to everything in town. We took advantage of the pool and bikes. It was a perfect montauk weekend! The man working at the front desk was extremely professional and kind. We checked in Sunday and enjoyed the beach and pool all day. Definitely recommend when booking a stay in Montauk. A lot of the other places to stay are very dated.

Very clean, spacious room. Bright and cheerful. Perfect location, no complaints at all!

I have nothing bad to say about this hotel! I stayed in late July and Sebastian and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make it a memorable experience. To the small details that are scattered throughout the hotel (free use of beach chairs, umbrellas, picnic tables, wifi, grills, bathroom toiletries, beautifully furnished rooms, etc.), you can notice the thought that is put into everything they do. The room was extremely clean and well stocked. The hotel itself is directly across the street from the beach and down the block from the main road. The convenience, helpfulness of staff and luxury that this hotel offers, makes it an easy recommendation for all my friends. I hope to go again next summer!

My boyfriend and I were here June 2017 and it is almost a year later and I am still thinking about how perfect it was! We came before the season technically started and we could not have lucked out more with perfect weather, and a perfect place to stay. It was truly the perfect stay. Sebastian made everything simple to check in and check out. He provides guests with towels, toiletries, beach chairs, bikes and much more. There were so many nice touches to our stay here. The pool is shared with Aqualina I believe. The pool is perfect as well! The beach is the perfect distance away. Upon check out we were not ready to leave Montauk just yet and Sebastian had no problem with us leaving our care there. We definitely will be back!

This is a nice little place very clean even though it's old, Very close to the beach also actually awesome location. Unfortunately those are the only good things about this place. For one they should not call themselves a resort. This place is basically a motel not even a hotel. I understand they are 300ft from the beach but not $550.00 dollars a night worth. I live in Florida and even on a holiday weekend you can stay at a real resort with real amenities. Having bicycles and a BQ I really don't consider amenities. That's really standard at any beach hotel/ motel. Not to mention they didn't have those available due to Covid. Which makes no sense because they had their lounge chairs and picnic table available which probably are used a lot more than the bikes & BQ. Not to mention you have to walk down 1 of 2 alleys basically to get to their pool. My room was very small my shower door was 24 inches wide at best very small. Beds were lumpy and not very good. Tiny tv as was the room. Door had to be slammed to shut properly. I mean really for the $2500.00 I paid for Thursday to Monday check out I expected a lot more. Also it was a little ridiculous that after 9pm you had to be very quiet because they consider that quiet time. I mean really everyone wants to hang outside their rooms after the beach and talk and drink with the people they came with. For what they charge you should be able to do that. I just don't see how they consider themselves a resort there were pretty much no amenities plus the pool area was no where near any of the rooms. You act had to share the pool with their sister hotel. When I looked at all the pictures on their website my wife and I was so excited to get to this place. But unfortunately we were very disappointed when we arrived because all the pictures made it seem like a real high end resort. I understand it was a holiday weekend in Montauk a big tourist location but like I said I live in Florida and have been to key west on holiday weekends and paid less for a lot more than what this hotel offers you. This place should really be called the ocean inn. Because it's not really a resort at all!! When we got into our room which was tiny they also had only 2 towels of each, Any hotel I've ever stayed at always gives you 4 of each. Also they gave 4 pillows but you could really only sleep on 2 of them because the other 2 had shams on them. Bid was lumpy also. For what they charges all my family and friends combined was well over $12,000.00 you would think they would take some of that and invest in new beds in the rooms. They televisions were small also. As a resort I just don't see it. As resort usually he a-lot of amenities this place did not. Not to mention the 2 of them they call amenities were not even available. The only thing that was worth this trip is that I had a-lot of time with my family. They even called one of my family members after check out to let them know a ice bucket was missing from the room they stayed in. Really!!! a $3.00 ice bucket after a guest just paid close to $3000.00 to stay at your so called resort come on man. It seems to me they are trying to recover some of the lost income from Covid. I totally get it that Montauk is a tourist location but so is key west and you get a-lot more for your money there. I feel this is a honest review and not making anything up but this is a cute little old nice hotel that can really be considered a motel, Bit this is definitely not a resort and definitely not worth $550.00 a night just because I'm 300ft from the beach. I just also found it a big inconvenience to go to the pool because you had to either walk down a worn out path of grass or walk basically down a alley with gravel between the 2 hotels, not convenient at all. Also they have a quiet time rule from 9 pm to 9 am I think is totally crazy. Everyone loves to sit and drink and just converse with each other after a day at the beach and for the money they charge you should be able to do that and a lot more. It pains me to write this review but I feel it's a honest one and would not want another guest to be disappointed when they get there after seeing all the nice pictures on their website they posted. Unfortunately for my wife and I this was the first and last time we would stay at this motel. The staff was very nice but really didn't have to do much but keep our rooms clean. If we ever go back to Montauk we would probably just rent a big house with all our family members and save a-lot of money in doing so. Sorry for the poor review but it's basically the truth.

In short: This is a true Montauk experience, not fancy Manhattan-like feel which is what I wanted to take a break away from. The vibe is welcoming, laid back, affordable (relatively speaking) and located DIRECTLY across from the beach. Pros * Prime location directly across from the beach, and a block from a pizzeria and few blocks from downtown shops/restaurants :) * Sebastian nice guy with a genuine smile and real helpful (called cab service, recommended places to eat, bike rental). Just a good guy. * Clean rooms * Comfy beds * Even the maids were extra nice * I was able to stay beyond 11am check out time b/c the room was not reserved. I didn't have to rush out! * Free use of beach chairs and umbrellas Cons - Walls are a bit thin. I could hear the person in the next room cough

As far as Montauk hotels go, Ocean Resort Inn is one of the best as far as convenience to the beach and bars/restaurants, cleanliness, and amenities such as heated pool and bikes. My only complaint would be the rooms are very small and the Queen size bed is actually a full size. My boyfriend and I recently stayed and had a great time but the two of us both being tall in the small bed was a bit uncomfortable.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights in early May, and I really wanted to love it, but sadly I feel like it was pretty average. As other reviewers have noted, the location is great (steps from the ocean), the owners are friendly, and the rooms are clean and charming. However, I would argue that the most important thing in any hotel room is the bed, since you're mainly there to sleep. And this is where the Ocean Resort Inn falls down. The mattress was lumpy, and the pillows were honestly some of the worst I have ever experienced. The stuffing in mine was literally falling apart and it was so uncomfortable to sleep on that I kept waking up with a sore ear. By the end of our stay there, my boyfriend's back was killing him from the mattress. Another negative was the shower, which had a severely clogged drain (to their credit, I reported this upon checking out, and it seemed like they were eager to fix it). Also, due to the air flow in the bathroom, the shower curtain kept sticking to our legs whenever we were bathing, which was kind of gross. Overall, the hotel is really cute and in a great spot, but the bed situation alone would probably prevent us from returning. If they upgrade the beds, we'd be back in a flash.

Montauk hotels are slim pickings for nice places...Ocean Resort Inn is the best of the lot...and Ginny is a great host. Very clean rooms, right next to the beach and town, free Wifi, beach chairs, towels, umbrellas and boogie boards. My only negative would be water temp in shower changes frequently...be careful but this is very common at beach motels. It's a beach motel...so don't expect the Ritz!

My boyfriend and I had a great experience at the Ocean Resort Inn. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. The outdoor shared space and amenities including picnic tables with umbrellas, outdoor showers, beach towels, grills, outdoor pool, and bikes for guest use (free) made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. All rooms include microwave, refrigerator, and coffee machine. The location is the best part, as the Inn is located a very short walk from the main downtown area of Montauk, as well as directly across the street from the entrance to the beach. I would absolutely return and highly recommend.

Not going to expound on the beauty of Montauk here-- you'll have to discover for yourself. As far as these digs--The Ocean Inn is a gem. Its run by the coolest woman this side of town, Ginny. I visited with a few friends, and we found ourselves hanging out with her in the evenings. She's a sharp witted riot. And one of 3,000 Montauk locals. Make sure you ask her where to go for the best sunset views. Ocean Inn provides beach chairs & towels. The rooms are modest but immaculate. Its located across the street from the beach, and you can walk to the main drag with cafes, bars & shopping.

This year we made sure to book well in advance so there would be no chance of missing out on staying at the ORI. It was our second time there and we weren't disappointed. It's one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in for the fact of being so exceptionally clean, plush and comfortable. The room was thoroughly serviced everyday, everything is kept so well and all the toiletries and room extras continually replaced. The hosts Katerina and Sebastian are accommodating and warm, they really go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and the ORI is truly a special place.

Great place to stay. Been staying here for many years now. Across street from beach and walking distance to shopping and many restaurants. Sebastian is great, always takes care of us. Rooms are clean and staff is friendly. This year they even added a pool , which was an extra bonus! We always stay here and of corse will b back.

This place is amazing. Great setup, with porch swings (which I enjoyed very much!) and clean, simple rooms, including a very powerful AC/heater that served me very well when I visited in windy, rainy 50 degree weather. The Wi-Fi was spectacular (I watched Netflix!). They're also literally a 30 second walk to the beach. And staff is so nice and friendly! Were I ever to come back to Montauk there's no question that I would stay here again.

I stayed here for one night this past weekend and I was very impressed! There are a lot of dingy hotels in the area and the Ocean Resort Inn stands out among them. Very clean, welcoming and friendly staff, great location, easy parking, did I say clean? I could go on and on. Check-in was quick and easy, and they handed me a map of Montauk with my room keys which was nice. It is right across from the beach (2 minute walk) and right behind the town of Montauk with it's shops and restaurants (also a 2 minute walk). There are free towels, bikes, and beach chairs for guest use, and upon arrival we noticed two water bottles and Lindt truffles in the room which I thought was a very nice touch. I found the beds and pillows to be very comfortable. Actually, the best night's sleep I've had in awhile. I definitely won't hesitate to stay here next time I am in Montauk!

We stayed for 2 nights this weekend. It's very clean and has a lot to offer. Free bikes, boogie boards, beach chairs, right across the street from the beach, ad walking distance to shops, restaurants, and bars. It wasn't crazy expensive. The only thing I would suggest is reading the binder in the room with the beach fire rules. There are A LOT. We got two $100 tickets. Kind of put a damper on our last night there. We would definitely stay here again

Good stay for a fair price. The hotel was right across the street from the beach and we had access to all sorts of beach supplies from towels to boogie boards. The hotel also has complimentary bikes and helmets for people who want a careless vacation. The staff are laid back yet attentive. They are knowledgable of the town and surrounding area and are quick to give great suggestions! The room itself is nice as well. It got a little stuffy at night, but the a/c unit cooled it down immediately. There are so many other things I am probably forgetting to mention, but the main take away here is that it is a seamless hotel that won't stress one out in the slightest. Seriously, look no further. This is the only place I plan on staying at in the future. Kudos to The Ocean Resort Inn for a fantastic stay!

Clean, quiet, one block from the beach and walking distance to restaurants and stores. We were here 5/14 and 5/15 and had a great stay. There is nothing they missed: lots of towels plus 2 beach towels; a multi-USB charging port; wine glasses and corkscrew, utensils and bowls for cereal or whatever to have in the room; bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas to borrow; seats outside each room; a bbq grill; and the courtyard with lounge chairs and picnic tables with umbrellas. I highly recommend.

Super clean, the amenities are amazing, and the staff is very friendly. I stayed here on a Thursday night in June and the price was amazing. The next day we checked out at 11, but the staff held on to our bags in their office and let us enjoy all the facilities such as the heated saltwater pool, and the garden area until we were ready to move on to our next place. Also it is walking distance to all the restaurants on the main ave and across the street from the beach. Loved it here!

This hotel is a gem! Very clean, beautifully maintained. They put a lot of details and love into their place. Wouldn't want to see such anywhere else.

Amazing staff.. Very helpful and caring about the place.. The rooms were always well taken care of and inviting... The beach is a skip away from the hotel.. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Montauk.. They really understand hospitality... Thanks again for a great stay !!!

Stayed for a four day weekend. Had a great time! Sebastian was super friendly, and the room was very clean with no mildew smell which I was worried about considering it's an older motel. Centrally located and in walking distance to everything in town. Only problem, which is not the hotels fault is that the blue hotel across the street is a bit of a frat party type hotel and when we would go to the beach in the morning, especially on Sunday, there was litter all over the beach including a bit of broken glass on the walking path to the beach. Having said that I would stay there again !

Went to Montauk and stay here for 2 nights this early May. The room was clean and the staff were all nice. Best part is the convenient location, closed to town and the beach.I'd definitely go back again!

The exterior looks like a no-frills, run of the mill quaint beach-side hotel. The room we had was comfortable, immaculately clean and spacious. There were extra towels and pillows and a large comfortable bed. The Jacuzzi/spa bath was a wonderful feature. The inn is also literally a stones throw from the beach, and convenient to local bars, restaurants and shops. Check in was quick and efficient due in part to the very pleasant young lady in the office. We had hoped to spend a second night here, but sadly the Ocean Resort Inn was booked in full. The office staff assured us they would let us know in the event of a cancellation. We also didn't get a chance to use the free bikes that they have there as we thought that was a fabulous amenity. Check out was at 11am, but this was unrushed. We simply dropped our keys off in a box outside the office. It wasn't until we took a room at another hotel the following night that we really appreciated the experience and staff of Ocean Resort Inn. The new hotel wasn't nearly as quaint, charming or pleasant...In addition to this, we had groups partying outside our door well into the evening. We like a good party too, but trying to sleep while a group is being loud and raucous 5 feet away isn't ideal. There are plenty of party spots in Montauk. I addressed the issue with the front desk, and was told it would be dealt with. It wasn't. I hope our next stay at Ocean Resort Inn will be longer. We had a lovely time. Our only grievance, and it is a minor one was that the shower's temperature wasn't consistent. It went from too hot to too cold without touching the nozzles. Kind of an 'adventure' in a strange way.

Man, even looking at pictures of Ocean Resort Inn makes me smile. I chanced upon a last-minute reservation here a few years ago, and it has become the staple to our now annual trip out to Montauk. The hotel meets our needs in every way - easy access to the beach, laid-back environment, ample space for entertaining and lounging, and comfy beds to nurse a sunburn. On a particularly hot day, it is such a treat to be able to take haven from the sun at one of the picnic tables at the resort. Beach access is also toward the end of the line of resorts, so the beach area is slightly less crowded directly in front of the inn. There's a great grill set-up in the main area and plenty of beach gear (chairs, towels, etc.) to keep packing light. The accommodations have made everything easy breezy time & time again. I'd recommend the Ocean Resort Inn to anyone looking for quality beach time and clean, well-kept accommodations. We have had such wonderful trips here over the years. The other patrons have always been extremely friendly and respectful... I've never noticed it to be high school party central despite being a more affordable option on MTK. All in all, Ocean Resort Inn is the perfect location for a quaint escape from the City.

Great location. Very clean and well maintained place with a wonderful host and staff. In the morning we can walk to nearby breakfast locations. The German restaurant close by is also pretty good. WE stayed for 2 nights at the end of June. We had 2 little ones with us too.

Although we only spent the night, this sweet little inn could not have suited us any better! It is literally 2 steps from the beach and from the heart of Montauk. The place is very well kept and feels like home with laid back decor. The courtyard is absolutely adorable with bench swings, picnic tables, lounge chairs, and even a hammock! The manager is great, very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be going back very soon! Honestly could not have found a better place to stay!

Ive been staying at the Ocean Resort Inn a few times each summer over the past few years. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. Manager Ginny is the best, its always pleasant visiting with her. The housekeeping staff always gracious too. Great location, short walking distance to almost everything. Reasonable rates. I will definitely contiunue to stay at the Ocean Resort Inn during my fairly frequent visits to Montauk.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Ocean Resort Inn. I cannot say enough about this place. It was kept immaculate at all times. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Also the location was great. We were in walking distance to town and great restaurants and across the street from the beach. We would definitely come back.

I have gone to Montauk most summers since I was a kid, and have stayed at many of the motels. The past few times I have stayed here because it is cleaner than most of the other motels, and though it is not on the beach, it is across the street from the beach. I love the little courtyard, and definitely enjoyed the porch swing and the picnic tables outside, great for grabbing some take out and relaxing. While there is not a pool, the plus side of that is people with kids tend to stay in the motels with pools, so you don't have to listen to Marco Polo and other such noise while relaxing on the porch. The rooms are good, but definitely keep in mind, although you are paying $300 a night, it is a motel at the end of the day. There are a lot of opinions about Ginny, I personally liked her and always found her to be helpful if I had a question. I think I remember we even had a nice chat for a few minutes one day. I will continue to stay here on future visits. Unfortunately, as much as I love Montauk (and I really do love it), it is so costly that recently every time I go, I feel like I should have gone to the Caribbean.

I stayed here again this summer and had a great experience as usual. The rooms are IMMACULATE! The manager Sebastian could not be more accommodating. I accidentally locked myself out of my room at 11 PM. I called the number posted on the office door which was Sebastian's cell phone, he immediately opened the room for us and refused to take a tip. I will be coming back soon!
