"New England fine dining doesn't get much better than this. Classic dishes are reimagined with decadent, locally grown touches. Instead of a steamed lobster in a plastic basket with a lemon wedge and some sad French fry situation, your lobster comes butter-poached with black truffle gnudi, morels, and a Maine uni emulsion. Other dishes are given similar treatment, such as the swordfish, which comes with crispy escargot, pea purée, trout roe, and a limoncello emulsion. This is the kind of place where everyone takes a break, showers, and dresses up before dinner. Make sure to get there well before your reservation so you have time to enjoy a cocktail on the veranda before sitting for dinner. Your Blood Orange Cosmo will taste that much better as you sip it while staring at the Atlantic. If you're planning one nice dinner during your visit, make this it." - Todd Plummer

What a beautiful experience we had dining at Ocean. Our server, Charlotte was 5 star all the way. The food was delicious and presentation on par with the fine dining I've experienced at restaurants such as Per Se, Le Bernadin and Daniel in NYC. This restaurant only offers pre-fixe menus 4 courses $125pp but the selections are nicely varied to accommodate different palates. My family of 4 dined here and everyone left with full bellies and happy smiles. The bar tender made delicious cocktails! (Wild Blossoms) If you're looking for a restaurant that has stunning views, great service, and not your typical local fried seafood fair, come here and celebrate this culinary thrill I found in Kennebunkport ❤️😊✌️

We stayed at the Cape Arundel Inn for our honeymoon. We splurged for the 4 course, prix fixe menu with wine pairings. The amuse bouche croquet was a great little starter. We had oysters, and watermelon feta salad followed by scallops and crab with avocado. The main course was halibut and swordfish, with a peach panna cotta and cheesecake for dessert. An amazing ocean view, go before sunset. The dining area overlooks the rocky Maine coastline, complete with a view of the Bush compound.

The food was mostly amazing. We had a 4 course meal with the wine pairing. The pairing was spot on and a great value. The scallops and pork belly with corn & black bean sauce was amazing. The pistachio crust cheesecake was 10/10. However, the rhubarb shortcake was underwhelming for a restaurant of this level. Service was amazing. Catherine was our server. Will ask to be seated in her section again next time. Atmosphere wise, the live piano was tremendous and the view was beautiful.

Overall a great meal. If you are looking for an upscale dining option this is the place to go! We had the 3 course meal option and they are accommodating about which courses you’d like to include. Nice views all around.

Christmas Eve dinner here was a disaster. Three course meal was $105 per person without wine with about $5 worth of food. Peekytoe crab appetizer was delicious but measured at about one square inch, one-eighth of an inch thick. The steak, five medallions of about an inch and a half in diameter, was tough and without flavor. A lump of about two tablespoons of tasty smashed potatoes. The wine was OK, but not good, the only cabernet for $20 a glass. Then I asked how much the bottle was and the waitress said it was $76. So we were only charged $76 for the four glasses we had, except they were very small glasses and about five inches of wine left in the bottle that was not offered to us. Left hungry after stuffing ourselves with French bread and butter. Oh please. We used to go to this restaurant, more frequently years ago and it used to be good, with enough food offered to satisfy one. Won't be going back after this time. Other people are getting it. The place half empty.

Service and drinks were great! I hate saying this, but the food was not good which was surprising given the high rating. Lobster bisque was bad, and we heard another table complaining. My halibut had no taste. Maybe an off night, sorry.

Very expensive and dishes are tasty but super small, service is slow and busy for too many tables, location, ocean scenery, views and ambiance are great. Examples: - 3 people (1 is GF) paid for dinner $450. - arrived at 7 pm sharp, order was taken at 7:25, dinner ended at 9 pm. - Tiny dishes example in the photos attached.

Just had dinner at Ocean, and it was an incredible experience. The food was top-notch—elegant and bursting with flavor. Every bite was perfect. The drinks were spot on, and the staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and made sure everything went smoothly. On top of that, the view was absolutely stunning, making the whole evening even more memorable. If you’re looking for an unforgettable meal with a great atmosphere in Kennebunkport, Ocean is definitely the spot. Ocean Restaurant - Kennebunkport, ME ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
