Kudos to Ocean Surf Shop board repair team! They worked on 2 longboards that we beat the hell out of in the Pacific NW (OR/WA) - old-school SoCal 90's boards. And they rocked it! Perfect repairs, color matching was way above expectations, and awesome service.... Great team - THANK YOU.

Non pretentious and amazing people work here. Relaxed vibe and way more helpful than other surf shops in the area. They rent hard tops for cheap ($35/24hrs) and have a sense of humor too. Best surf shop in Chs.

I am an intermediate surfer with 2 years of consistent surfing experience and was in Charleston for the weekend. They rented a surfboard to us on a 25mph NE blownout day, with even stronger gusts, after I asked if there was even the slightest chance we could surf at all, and if we could get a discount to rent only a couple hours. The manager emphatically assured we could still ride waves and that it would be fun, and that they didn't rent for less than 24h. I find it lame and scammy. Easy earned $35 for an hour... The board is paid for in 2 weeks. I'd be ashamed to do business like that, and I will never come back.

Attention!!!!! Anybody looking to get into surfing or if you are a long time surfer I wouldn’t recommend anybody else than oceans immediately when you walk in a woman named Clara and her friendly staff will assist you with your board buying process and make you feel comfortable while you’re doing it!!! very affordable boards very pleased with my experience

Purchased a Ben Gravy surf board there , enjoyed talking to and meeting Jeff great guy very knowledgeable about surf boards , real happy with my board , in love with surfing can’t get enough of it !

Needed t-shirt and sandals, stopped in the guy was very helpful! Nice shop has pretty much everything you need for the beach!

I stopped here while visiting last week. An item I purchased somehow didn't make it in the bag, and I didn't realize until they were closed, and we had to leave town the following morning before they opened. I called up the next day, and they apologized and offered to ship it to me. Great service, right?? It didn't end there! Not only did they ship it to me, but they included a free hat with a handwritten note! Thank you so much guys! Can't wait to come again next time I'm in town! Y'all are awesome, and customer service is second to none!!

Ocean Surf Shop is nothing short of spectacular. The staff are incredibly kind, outgoing, and are always very willing and happy to interact with you, answering whatever questions you may have. They don’t relegate themselves to staying behind the counter and I can always tell they very genuinely care. I bought my Gary Wilson longboard from them, and in the entire process—from initial browsing and selection to even include post-sale support— they were absolutely phenomenal. Every step of the way. They educated me and helped me make an informed decision that led to buying a board that I love taking to the water every weekend. I’ve honestly never had an experience at Ocean Surf Shop that didn’t meet or exceed the standards they’ve already set in my mind. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you!
