Ocean Vodka Organic Farm and Distillery

We did the pairing, which was a three different cocktails matched with 3 diff food pairings. It was above and beyond what we expected! The food was amazing, and they don’t just give you tiny bites - you’ll be full and have leftovers to take home! The drinks were also delicious, and we enjoyed the beautiful views as we ate and drank. The poke popcorn was our favorite, it was so good we’d come back just to have that dish again 😋😋😋 We were thrilled with our experience and would visit again next time we are in Maui!

One of the great dining experiences we had during our trip! The service is fantastic, delicious food and drinks, laid back vibes, great live music, incredible views of Haleakala and of the ocean from both ends of the island. We went for dinner and would love to return to do a tasting. Family friendly even though there are no toys or games allowed. Highly recommend if you're looking for a different experience and want to get out of the resort areas.

A great experience for Tasting and the views are amazing. They have tables out on the grass and nice drinks and food. Live Music on weekends. It is higher up and can get cold in the winter so dress appropriately. The gin and vodka are very smooth. Service was great.

Our tour guide Jade was a darlin. ❤️😊 She was knowledgeable, personable, and hospitable as she explained the process of making vodka, gin, rum, and brum. Her humor helped the taste testing go down smoothly. We stayed for dinner. It was worth the wait. The view was beautiful and they had live music. The sticky ribs were tasty and the pizza was excellent. The chocolate covered banana rolled in macadamia nuts was a fun island experience. Enjoy the local flair of Ocean.

This place is a perfect location for a drink and/or food. The main lawn is wide open and spacious with plenty of picnic tables and space for kiddos to run around. We had lunch prior to a tour/tasting, of which the Da Beast Burger was excellent. From the tasting, the Toasted Coconut Rum and FY Gin were my favorites. The Brum was good to taste but pricey for a bottle at $150. Overall an excellent experience that I would return to.

This was singularly the best dining experience we had on Maui as well as all the islands ! Sitting at a picnic table on a gorgeous lawn, overlooking Maui, listening to quiet music and folks laughing, having a delicious Mai tai made with their organic organic rum, eating poke tacos, shrimp and amazing flat bread pizza is flat out as good as it gets! Our server Joy was a joy to be with. Excellent service not only from Joy but from all the different employees that would stop by to see how we were doing . Chad ( the chef ?) came by and we had a wonderful extensive conversation. These folks love their jobs and it shows . We capped the evening off with a delicious bread pudding. Truly could not have been better . Delicious food , fantastic views, great people !!

Beautiful sky amazing sunset... If you come this far, you expect the best.. you feel truly amazed with this nature surround.. i will give this place nine out of ten, Jonathon was serving my table.. He was amazing.. and very handsome too.

The view from here is crazy awesome. You can see both sides of the saddle all the way to the ocean. Live music every night starting at 5pm. The food is way beyond what should be at a distillery. The drinks all use their products and are all well balanced. This trip we got the Cuban calzone followed by their Kula vanilla bread pudding.

Came to the distillery and had a tasting with Alan. Very knowledgeable and a great way to pour all the different spirits they make. I would highly recommend coming here and experiencing all of it

We are Maui residents and live going to Ocean Vodha. They have amazing live music, tasty cocktails and delicious food. Joy was our server tonight and she was amazing! Mahalo, Joy!

First off... our tour guide was ALAN and he was fantastic! He was extremely informative, patient, kind and hilarious. A tour is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (a must actually) and when you book, ask to have ALAN as your guide. The facility grounds is absolutely beautiful! It's very relaxing with a large green grass area. The view of both sides of Maui is spectacular. The food is amazing! We had the pitta bread, pizza and devil eggs. So- So good!! The drinks were perfect with a lot to select from. Our food server was really good as well, as she had a great sense of humor and was so friendly. She was really good at suggesting what drinks to select for those in our party who could not decide. Unfortunately I forget her name. We were there when the tsunami warning was issued due to the 8.8 earthquake in Russia. The manager was extremely nice and allowed everyone there to remain on their property for a long time. He closed down a little early to take care of his staff as they had family and grandparents who needed there assistance to evacuate. I thought this was awesome that the staff had a really good manager who looked after his staff like that. We all clapped in support of this when he announced this. I also forgot to mention that they had live music as well. So it was just an amazing experience. We will be returning there every time we are in Maui which is once a year to visit Grandma who has lived in Hiku for 40 years. If you go, I guarantee that you will really enjoy yourself!

One of my new fav places to go to for that farm to table experience. My summary - The views were breathtaking, the food was excellent, the service was amazing, and the music was a whole vibe. You leave talking about how much fun it was and thats when you know you've found a place to your heart! We went to a pop up preview to the Maui Music Experience hosted by Ocean Vodka and Hua Momona Farms. They had their usual menu which really does have something for everyone along with a specialty dish, the hamachi along with a cocktail. Both delicious. My mother in law who doesn't normally eat fish even ate the sauce and good bits of the hamachi dish. She was convinced. ;) Some photos of the foods we ate. I cant say enough. We all enjoyed our choices and will definitely be coming back for more. Tip: Check their IG for music line up. They have aome great musicians that play daily and in Sundays with a small cover they have multiple lineups. Well worth it! Tip: Bring a light sweater to keep warm, it does get a little chilly as sunsets, a hat cause the sun still out snd you ought want more shade and/ or lawn blanket to sit and catch the vibes. They have plenty of seating but a lof folks were enjoying sitting on the lawn too.

What a wild ride. Our large group booked a tour. Half would be drinking, half would not(we had three DDs, a couple pregnant women and two who just don't drink). On the website there were options for drinking and not drinking. We didn't think it would be a problem. When we showed up, the woman checking us in was so rude about not all of us drinking. She wouldn't stop going on and on about it, and even talked poorly about us to other customers! I was a non drinker, there for food and views. After the tour we went to eat. We were told inside that sitting together wouldn't be a problem, but when we got outside that wasn't the case. The young girls at the hut were so rude. We needed three tables and were told we could not sit together. And even though there were plenty of tables close ish together, they seated us at opposite ends of the lawn. We couldn't have been further apart. The nicest people we encountered were at the bars, besides them everyone was rude and acted like we were an inconvenience being there. The food was okay. Nothing to write home about. Took forever to come out, and prices were sky high for what you get. The views really can't be beat. The vibe besides the staff was on point. Getting to grab an adirondack chair and go sit by the hill was lovely. We live on Oahu and island hop regularly. This won't be a place we have any intent on returning to.

Wow. Ocean's has grown since I visited this distillery about 15 years ago. I remember loving their location and view on my last visit and the company has grown to highlight this feature. The venue now has food and a large beautiful grass area where you can relax, listen to live music in the evenings, and take in the beautiful view of the island from up country. We went here with two local friends we know on the island and opted for sunset. It was stunning. The food options are plentiful, from pizza to poke nachos and even a ribeye after 3pm. I found the prices (especially the drinks) a little pricy but you are also paying for the staff, view, music, upkeep of the property, etc. I recommend adding this as a stop during your visit if you want something away from the touristy area that is low key, relaxing, and memorable.

Area is nice, a good family oriented place for a couple of parents that can bring their kids to run around and listen to good live music. You come for the vibes, ambiance, and there is a pretty good sunset viewing too. The pizzas are pretty good. The kimchee pizza tho was a little more on the sweeter side to my liking. Their poke nachos was super good and their drinks were pretty good and strong too. Everything was just super pricey lol so be prepared for those maui expensive prices. The service was good too, there is an automatic 20 percent gratuity for parties greater than 6. Womp

Just arrived today and our first stop was Ocean Vodka. Sat outside on the lawn area. Grabbed a couple of Adirondack chairs for me and my wife to enjoy the Maui vibe. I scouted this place out weeks before we arrived and it did not disappoint. It's in the up county of Maui but only slightly. Amazing views of the north shore, playing Hawaii music vibes and serving amazing vodka cocktails. We got the green harvest (think spicy margarita) and the lemongrass shack. Both were light, delicious and perfect for our Aloha to the island. Our server Jonathan suggested both and his nailed it. We also ordered the shrimp - amazing with the 2 sauces, along with the Thai curry tacos and chicken chopped salad. Everything was extremely delicious, fresh and hit all our spots. Our server Jonathan was super cool, being from the Bay Area via San Diego he had the same origin story as me. He was super attentive and hooked us up with a table to go with our chairs. All in all you need to get here immediately and ask for our boy Jonathan. This is not to be missed on your next Maui trip. Mahalo!

Visited Ocean Distillery for the first time and had the best time! Jade was the best tasting guide. All of the staff is friendly! The space is unbelievably beautiful. Food and drink amazing! I had the best time and enjoyed the prettiest of views. A must-visit!

Really beautiful property, educational info and tasty products. Our guide was animated, knowledgeable, and provided tips for how to use the spirits in cocktails (some of his favorites). Loved the food & drink menu. Due to my food allergies (gluten and dairy), I haven't had a pizza since October, but their restaurant easily accommodated my needs. We happily devoured the Uncle's Favorite and Kimchee-Hoo with gluten free crust and vegan cheese. The deviled eggs were incredible as well! The shop had all of their spirits (which you could wrap for a fee for travel or ship) and merch.

Had a fun, informative tasting with Alan, he was great! The spirits are delicious. Enjoyed the mushroom flatbread (yumm!) and the banana pops. The view is outstanding! Come relax and enjoy this Maui gem.

Visiting Ocean Organic Vodka distillery was top on my list of things to do when visiting Maui! My family and I had such an amazing time learning about the distillery process and tasting all their delicious products. The tasting came with a souvenir shot glass and our tour guide, Alan, was great at explaining the process and pouring out our tastings. 10/10 recommend visiting if you're on the island! Also, their cafe makes excellent drinks and has a nice menu! Especially for those who are gluten & dairy free as they have a pizza option for you. :)

Great food and drinks, friendly service. Sure, it's pricey, but you get a spectacular sunset as a treat. Bring warm clothes if you're staying for sunset. It can get chilly up in the mountains when the sun goes down and it's windy.

by the Ocean I had the opportunity to return to Ocean Organic Vodka during my Maui trip in early December 2024. Truth be told, my first visit was nearly 10 years ago and it was lovely to see the growth of their business. NOTES 1. Complimentary parking.....though some of the parking is on a gravel/unpaved area. 2. Tours are available daily. Please inquire at the gift shop. 3. Tours are about $18/person. The young lady in the gift shop was very welcoming and friendly when we asked about the tour info. In fact, she as our thief guide, and I would love to give her more of a shout out right now. Sadly, I've forgotten her name. 4. There is now a bar and restaurant on site. The seating areas are indoor, and on the grassy field with a views of Kula and the surrounding. Upon arriving at OOV, we were greeted by a staff member at the entrance to the grounds. She answered our questions about their tours, and happily took our picture in front of the giant replica of their product bottle. We entered the gift shop and inquired about the tour. We paid the fees and met our tour leader (I wish I remembered her name!) on the side of the building. She began the tour with history about the company; it's founding and beginnings, products, operations, and current productivity. She proudly shared with us that Ocean Vodka is available in all 50 states, which I must say is quite an accomplishment for a company in the middle of the Pacific. She shared with us the different types of sugar cane on property, how the sugar is harvested and extracted, the fermentation process, and showed us part of their production line (no photos or videos allowed at that point). The final stop on the tour was at their tasting pavilion. We were able to sample shots of their vodka, as well as their newly minted rum that's in production. Needless to say, it was a delightful and tasteful ending. After the tasting, we decided to get a bite to eat at their restaurant/cafe. Since it was a lovely day, we decided to sit outdoors. The menu can be accessed via QR code, or they do have paper menus available. We chose to share the mushroom flat bread and the poke nachos. A round of drinks completed the meal. The food and portion size was satisfactory, and enough for our group of three. Since it wasn't too busy, we did linger a bit to "talk story". We stopped in the gift shop one last time before we were on our way. SERVICE All the staff members we encountered provided exceptional and quality customer service. We especially appreciated our tour guide, a lovely young woman, who spoke so passionately about the Oceam Vodka products. The server at the cafe was a capable woman, who provided excellent customer service. She patiently answered all our questions, and checked on us periodically throughout the meal. BOTTOM LINE A very memorable visit at Ocean Organic Vodka. Recommended.

This place is beautiful and worth the trip when in Maui. The food and drinks from the cafe are amazing. I highly recommend doing a testing. The service was quick. Our tasting guide Jade was very knowledgeable of the spirits they make.

Thanks to our great tour and taste guide, Alex (from Boise, Idaho)! Appreciate all products sourced and bottled onsite! Different cane sugars too. Tasted Ocean's coconut rum (fav), dark rum, organic rum, gin, and vodka. Each bottled like a work of art! Fun experience. We were too stuffed from lunch at Hali'imaile General Store, but food smelled yummy. Next time!

My husband and I came to Ocean Vodka for drinks and lunch. My husband ordered a vodka tonic (so delicious) and I ordered the "Local Girl," vodka, POG juice and sparkling water (also quite good). For our meals we ordered the Asian Chopped salad and the Blue Cheese/Pear Salad, both with seared Ahi. Very light and tasty. Service was kind, prompt and attentive. The views were spectacular. Lots of seating and a great environment if you want to bring your kids along. One of our canoeist eating experiences so far in Maui.

July 30 - the entire Pacific Rim is on tsunami alert. All of the Hawaiian islands are evacuating to higher ground. 100s of thousands are displaced. We arrive at Ocean at 650pm, just moments before the tsunami was to strike, we're hungry and scared. Told that the kitchen is closed as staff was released to go home and shelter, BUT considering the circumstances we are welcome to stay at elevation with them until the tsunami passes. Ocean offered water, lavatories, and most importantly elevated. shelter. Clearly aware of what was taking place, the staff allowed those who were non local, displaced to stay late into the evening and past closing hours. This review has nothing to do with anything other than compassion and empathy of Ocean's staff, which was exemplary, and above and beyond, in what was potentially a humanitarian crisis. My family felt safe, secure, and welcomed.

It's a vibe! Yummy food, delicious libations, and the most fantastic views. Jonathan our server was top notch. Will be back.

Fun vodka tasting out in the country of Maui! The staff is super nice and helpful, and quick to pour you a drink when you're at the bar. The tasting touring is informative and tasty, buckle up for your taste buds to be tantalized! The vibe is very low key and laid back, live music is nice and the scenery is picturesque.

We stumbled into this place in Maui and it's gorgeous! So many tables with fantastic views of the island. We ordered the pizza and it was super good. Can't say anything about the tour since we weren't drinking. Service was good too.

Ocean Vodka is the perfect upcountry spot for lunch, cocktails, or dinner, now with live music some evenings. The grounds are beautiful, with an unmatched view from the lawn, and the food is delicious. My favorites are the flatbreads and seared ahi, but everything is great. They also offer a short but informative and interesting tour of the property, where they talk about sugar cane on Maui, followed by a tasting of the spirits they make from the cane. This was fun and the drinks were delicious, especially the rums. If you're looking for something memorable and unique upcountry, this is it!

The tour is just the right amount of time and information, concise but fun. The spirits tasting was great, definitely recommend adding the Brum to experience the full range of their offerings. We did not eat anything on this trip but did grab some cocktails. Laura recommended the LILIKOI CRUSH which was fantastic; we also got the TANGERINE DREAM which was great. If you like spirits and want a fun experience I would highly suggest checking this place out. The outdoor area provides plenty of seating with great views and photo opportunities, and the store has all kinds of things like clothing and bottles. Support this local spot and enjoy the relaxing, curated atmosphere.

Spectacular sunset view at this upcountry location. Love the ability to choose seating at a picnic table or chairs on the lawn. Live music offered an unexpected pleasure. Drinks were solid and service helpful. We loved the ahi nachos, yummy!

One of the best organic vodka I've ever had! So smooth plus it's organic! Never been to a distillery before so gave this a chance. Already had a full day with the kids visiting other farms in Kula. Wanted to go some where with food menu for dinner while Mama have a drink. This was a perfect spot overlooking Maui. Beautiful scenery of ocean and mountains. A reservation is needed to sit outside on the benches. Luckily, host was able to squeeze us in. As we got seated looking over the menu no one came to serve us within 10 minutes. Therefore, was a little upset because kids were hungry so decided to just walk around and go back to our hotel. I'm sure all the servers were just busy. Was looking forward to enjoy dinner while sipping on a cocktail. Wish I was able to do the tasting room, but no kids were allowed only outside in the grassy area where they have plenty of spaces to roam around. The view made it up for the experience, but maybe next time will work out better. Instead, I made a stop at ABC store and bought a bottle of Ocean organic vodka to enjoy rest of the evening. Simply mixed it with lychee juice over ice. Delicious! I do recommend to make a stop there because it's just such an amazing distillery. Trust me it's worth the visit.

Really love the views and the vibe of this place. Good place to chill and watch the sunset. I don't have any thing to say about the drinks since I'm not a drinker. But food wise I would say is it's lacking. Poke nachos were okay. My family tried three different pizzas and just didn't enjoy any of them. I would come back just for the view and to grab drinks with friends

I had been hearing a lot about this place, and finally, I came up with some friends for dinner. The food was ok, nothing beyond words, and portions were the standard, not in love with being served on paper boxes. Customer service on the other hand was cordial and fast. You come here mostly because of the killer views and of course to taste the famous Vodka. The place is pretty informal unless you are coming for a special event, and I did not enjoy the setup for the tables and chairs, this place could do better and has lots of potential to elevate the guest's experience.

What an amazing experience. We have been there before but this time we did the tour with Alan. It was awesome! Great tasting and the history of the sugar cane. Affordable and I recommend it! Go Gators!!!!

Spirits on the island? Absolutely, and we are not talking about our ancestors either. Vodka, gin and rum, all right! First off, they have a tour and a tasting. The tour was informative explaining their history, what makes them unique in their process and ingredients and their mission. Our guide and barkeep was knowledgeable and informative able to answer my geekie questions. The tasting flights were good. My favorite was the vodka. Crisp and clean, smooth finish and a unique mineral flavor due to the water they use. The coconut rum was my wife's favorite. Not to sweet and coconut forward without it being overpowering. The Gin was my #2 with its nutty finish vs the pine finish of most other gins. The last taste was their oak barrel rum. It was very good, definitely get the oak barrel color and a light hint at the nose and front of the pallet. Smooth finish made it enjoyable. Not enough to want to buy but a Very good option I suggest you try, but be warned, it is an extra fee to add that to your flight. Lastly, give yourself time to enjoy the grounds and the restaurant. The views are spectacular, especially at sunset. The food from their cafe is actually really good. Not basic bar fare, but a well thought out menu highlighting local flavors. And of course, the bar. You won't be disappointed. I wasn't. I'll be back. And I did buy a bottle of Ocean Vodka when I got home. A hui ho Ocean Vodka! Mahalo Nui Loa for the good memories!

Such a fun place to hangout and enjoy the weather! Outside seating is spacious and nice! Beautiful scenery! Food and drinks were delicious! I got the Caesar pita wrap and it was sooo good! Pattie at the merch store was so nice and funny! She helped us inside and was very nice to talk to her! Very friendly and welcoming! Ella our waitress was nice and did a great job taking care of our table of 8 and made sure we had everything we needed! Overall i recommend coming here to hangout and enjoy food and drinks! * for some reason all my pics didn't post but all the food was delicious!

We did a tasting with Sarah. Great experience totally worth it. Learning about the history was so interesting. We also ordered from the Cafe. They make their own bread there as well. It is a self sustaining place which is so cool.

Great experience, reservations recommended, we got there at 5:45 no reservations, plenty of room and we're seated immediately. The band was playing as the two servers greeted us and quickly took our drink orders and food. We then were offered delicious fresh sushi and we were off to a great start. I ordered a Rim Tai which was well flavored, I also ordered the sticky ribs which were fall of the bone and tasty. The slaw tropical and tangy for a juicy flavor. We also ordered a cali flower crust mushroom pizza which was very well flavored and delish. The sunset venue was awesome, the service fast and constant. Easy to find and reasonably priced. Mahalo !

Everything was AMAZING! Number one the gorgeous view. Number two the live music. Number three the food was fabulous. Number four the service was dynamite. Our server Joy was awesome. We had a large family gathering and they didn't skip a beat or miss anything. I really look forward to visiting them again!

We were here for the tasting and it was very informative. Alan was our guide and he was friendly and knowledgable. 5 different liquors to taste with an option to try their Brum as well. Afterward we had a few drinks and dessert in their outdoor eating area. The banana pops were cool and refreshing! The banana pudding was very good as well. Gorgeous area with a great view in the distance. Highly recommend!

Went to Ocean Organic Vodka and did the tour last year. This year, we made the trek out there just for lunch because we remember the flat breads and drinks being so great! They did not disappoint. It was definitely much less crowded than 2023. I think because they were having a rush in 2023 as the island opened after COVID. 2024 proved to be much more empty. The tour we did the prior year was mediocre. They give you maybe a total of 1 shot of vodka and are really limited to the amount they let you taste. You get to keep the shot glass, which isn't really needed. The vodka was fine, but it's hard for me to taste the difference. The real winner here is the food and the drinks. They are delicious. I love the pizzas and the drinks have great flavor. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that THERE IS NO SHADE! They seem to have a shaded area with picnic tables, but for some reason don't let you go over there. You have to get your own chairs from a stack and put them under a palm tree to try to get a limited amount of shade. If the ambiance was a bit better in this regard, it's an easy 5 star stop! Be prepared that it is a bit out of the way, but we felt it was worth the drive!

Great service and beautiful outdoor space. The flatbread that we ordered had the best crust and was a rum bacon jam on it was amazing! The tasting was a fun experience and was very well explained!

This place was so fun!! The property is huge and love the whole outside area. Best views!! The food is delicious (surprisingly for a distillery). The poke nachos are a MUST! Every drink was refreshing and tasty. The service was also great. They were on top of everything!

Took the tour today and it was very informative and fun. That being said, Alan was a great guide and we enjoyed his presentation.

Had to come see where the best vodka on Earth is made! Definitely plan to eat here as well, the food is fantastic, the drinks are stellar, I wish I could move in!

Hidden Gem? Yes to me it was because I accidentally stumbled upon it while driving around in Kula and I was pleasantly surprised. When we first walked we were greeted by the hostess. She escorted us to the seating area. This place is so peaceful and serene. The views are beautiful and plenty of seating everywhere. Wide variety of drinks and food. They also had live music which was just so relaxing. I ordered the Ocean Poke Nachos and it was delicious. crunchy chip medley, topped with Ocean ahi poke, tomatoes, jalapeños, cucumbers, cilantro, avocado, sriracha aioli, Kobayaki unagi sauce, and Chef's own blend Furikake. I would say this is a must have. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting. And it looked like they cater for private events. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Can't wait to come back next year.

Debated this on the drive back to the hotel. Ended up feeling like this place only cares about your money. Walked up and asked if we could split a tasting because I was driving but wanted to at least taste what it was all about. Was assured it wouldn't be a problem. While checking out I was also asked if I wanted to taste their aged rum. I said yes. Apparently that was an added charge and was not told. Didn't notice the price went from $18 to $28. My fault. During the tasting we were lectured that we could not share at all. Maui law appearently. First reaction was can we add another tasting and go pay later? When we went back to talk to the office. Same reaction. Well they could have added a tasting and you could pay here. Been to a lot of tastings, so we know to ask when we are driving. Would not have an issue if the staff was more upfront and we were weren't assured before paying that it would be ok. Plus side: staff was friendly Funny side: if the tour guide says "organic farm" in air quotes, is that for emphasis or is it not really organic?

What a great spot. Learned a lot about Rum and Vodka distilling and the shockingly little differences between the two, here it's about 40 feet. Out tour guide Jada Was amazing! The food and eating out on the grass was great! Amazing views. A definite must do on Maui.

Stumbled across Ocean Organic Vodka on our way to surfing go dairy and decided to stop since we were already in the high country. Couldn't be happier with our experience and time spent here. The staff were inviting and friendly and highly knowledgeable. The tasting experience was really interesting, fun and extremely tasty! Followed the tasting with a delicious lunch and stunning views. Highly recommended!!!
