7 Best Airbnbs in Cape Cod to Book Now - AFAR

"A freshly renovated two-bedroom beachfront cottage rendered in an all-white, beach-minimalist palette punctuated by seafoam and turquoise accents, this property extends its clean, coastal aesthetic from rafters and bedding to kitchenware and glassware. Whimsical design touches—like a school-of-fish mural—complement direct private-beach access with Adirondack chairs and a picnic table, plus a second-floor balcony that’s well suited for seal-watching or even spotting breaching humpback whales; the cottage is a short drive from a lively town and sits adjacent to a long-standing row of photogenic seasonal cottages." - Nicholas DeRenzo

We only have been here one night of our 4 day stay and we love it. The cottage reminds me of an old movie. You feel like Cary Grant, Rock Hudson, or Marilyn Monroe will come strolling down the beach. My husband and grandkids love it as well. We will be staying here again and for many years to come. Helena is wonderful. She gave us a ton of places go see. She made us feel like we all knew each other for years. The cottage was very very clean, even the around the windows. Much cleaner the some of the top hotel chains. It is a great place to relax. We loved the no TVs and no AC options. But they do have options for those if you want a cottage with AC and a tv. It is a great place if you just want to sit and enjoy the beach. Very cozy and the prices are great. The view is to die for. The kitchenette is an added bonus. This was the last day of our stay everything was wonderful the peace and quiet was wonderful. I was reading some of the comments and I don’t know where they stayed because everyone was wonderful. We will coming here for years to come.

This place gives budget friendly a new meaning. I would say step above tent camping and step below glamping. It is very old, moldy floors have a pretty decent pitch be careful you don’t roll out of bed. It is in the beach after all which is why I gave 2 stars. ||||We had made a booking which we specified pet friendly, this place popped up, but when we arrived they were not. The kept our security deposit and accused us of lying stating “ we did not having a child with us, it was really a dog!” No, we had both a child a golden doodle, we were honest when we came to tell you. We were told her guests are afraid of dogs, meanwhile dogs are all over the beach because it’s public. It truly was an honest mistake and it wasn’t the security deposit that bothered me, it was the owner and the way she treats her guests!||||Save your money there are far better places to spend your money.

Love staying here. My husband and I have been here twice now and we will be back. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The beach is beautiful and the cottage was amazing. Very clean and very comfortable. We even got a deal on upgrading our room which was awesome. We stayed here for our honey moon and it was the perfect place to celebrate and unwind. The beach was clean and there was enough space for all the guest while having room and being safe with social distancing. Thank you so much Helena for making our stay so wonderful.

It has been years since our stays here. It was perfect at the time for our small beginning family of three. We would take our son right out onto the beach. He loved it and we enjoyed sitting out relaxing (if there is sorta thing for young parents). Also loved that we could easily get to Provincetown which we really enjoy. We did eventually look around for other spots as our family size increased (four boys!) but sounds like they do have other bigger options. We just happened to fall in love with a place in Wellfleet, no fault of this wonderful place. I wish we had found this place before kids as it would be very cozy and romantic for a couple. Never any issue with the service and friends of ours that still stay have noted the same.

Seriously over priced outdated loved staying when Maria owned it!! Helena is not good to deal with!!! She needs people skills. She was not accommodating for people that have been staying there for years before she ever came in!!!! NOT DOG FRIENDLY!! Even if you have a service dog which is not acceptable!!!

Beautiful location. Can't beat the private beach. Cottages are miminally set up for housekeeping. No ac so bring your fans. Checkin times can exceed 3 pm. Towels can be exchanged but bring your beach towels. No laundry. Bring some hooks for wet or rainy days. Have been going 43 years, lots of friendly neighbors. Not for private folks.

I will update my review at the end of our stay, ocean views are great, outdoor chairs need updating, a few aren't sturdy and those that are, I think people claim them as soon as they arrive. Check in was smooth, very friendly abd helpful. Beds in need of full mattress casing, just had a very cheap mattress cover, bring your own bedding to be safe, only 2 pillows on full bed, road noise was loud at night, shower we didn't even dare to use it was ancient and didn't look clean. Very small room. The people at check in and check out were super friendly. They have no place to grill outdoors. The beach was rough with pebbles through the sand, hard to walk barefooted, I guess because its a private beach they keep it mostly natural. You sink into the sand. Beautiful sunsets and calming ocean views, shared by all cottages, sitting out watching it with a dozen people while sipping your morning tea. Bathroom door doesn't have a latch, its broke. So it doesn't stay closed.

If, from time to time, your mind conjures up an idyllic escape to a rustic seaside cottage, this is your dream come true. It certainly was mine — and my teenage niece’s who accompanied me — which is why we give it five stars. We could not get enough of the ocean view right out our front window and the sound of the waves washing away our worries and lulling us to sleep every night. We also enjoyed our trips into Ptown, long rides on the bike trails, runs along the beach, and poking in and out of little Truro shops —Jobi pottery was our favorite! ||||At first I thought - the cottage is too close to others, it will be awfully noisy - but this was not the case. All were respectful of others and kept to themselves. I came to delight in waving good morning to neighbors each day, yet really felt the sense of solitude I came there for. The Ballyhoo was just ideal for the two of us, with all the cooking utensils, pots, pans we needed to cook up delicious meals that we ate seaside (we brought the little table tops from home). We spent much of the time on the Adirondack chairs perched outside the cottage where sunsets are INCREDIBLE! Lots of shelving for our art supplies and “library.”||||We ended up staying two nights longer than originally booked — and if we could stay forever, we would. I do want to note that I almost didn’t book here given the one terrible review. It really scared me as a single woman traveling alone with someone else’s child. I can attest that the review is utterly false and unfortunate as it caused me great anxiety. When we locked ourselves out late at night on our first day, I braced myself for a bad interaction with the owner, if she was even available. Not only was she still in her office, she was warm and comforting and told us this happens all the time. She ran across to the cottage with us and unlocked it immediately. ||||As you can see from the photos, the place is freshly painted, well-kept, curtains secured, and the hot water is definitely HOT! Throughout our stay the owners - Helena and her parents - were kind and pleasant in a genuine way that just cannot be put on. And they were ALWAYS available for our questions with a warm greeting and no complaint. I do know that competitors sometimes write bad reviews and there is nothing an owner can do about it. It is cruel, and in this case, it almost kept me from the most idyllic, restful vacation I’ve ever had. I hope this review puts others’ minds at ease. I can’t wait to go back!
