"Near the Passage Pommeraye and the Théâtre Graslin, the four-star Oceania Hôtel de France offers historic character in the heart of Nantes. Housed in an 18th-century former town house, the 72-room hotel was entirely renovated in 2014 to include contemporary touches like a larger lobby, design-focused guest rooms, and a light, airy breakfast space. Be sure to book a room with a terrace for lovely views of Place Graslin, and make time to walk the Green Line, a 7.5-mile trail that goes right in front of the hotel and connects all of Nantes’s main attractions. When you’re done exploring, head to the hotel’s fifth-floor terrace, where you can watch the city bustle from above."

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location, right on Place Graslin. I had a deluxe double room, which was very comfortable with nice facilties. Coffee machine, robes, slippers, toiletries, safe and very spacious. The breakfast was delightful, I particularly liked the smoked salmon with some of the fresh breads. The staff were wonderful, particularly Monan, who helped us with recommendations for sights & restaurants. We ate at Chez Franklin which was lovely, a very popular spot. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent location in the core of the city - we walked everywhere and there are tons of restaurants and bars in the area. Modern interior in a historical building. Staff are very helpful and attentive. Our room was soundproof, well-lit and spacious with an excellent shower, a very comfortable bed and full control of the air system (heat or cool).

We highly recommend this lovely hotel. The location is superb, a stone's throw away Graslin Square. Do frequent the bars and restaurants there. Pilgrim was especially good. The hotel is a delight. The staff couldn't be more helpful. Reception area is impressive. Our room was 107 with its creative decoration and unusual bathroom. Comfy bed and everything you need for your stay.

Reception staff very welcoming & were helpful throughout our stay. The night receptionist doubled up as the barman & nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were clean, the towels & bathrobes luxurious. The entrance is grand with a little of the faded opulence about it, very charming

I stayed in the Oceania with my husband. We had a deluxe double room which was very spacious and comfortable, with coffee machine, robes, slippers, plenty of wardrobe/cupboard space.|Breakfast was varied and very nice indeed, something for everyone, you could have cereals, fruits, pastries, cooked breastfast, cold meats, cheeses and best of all, smoked salmon.|The staff were were wonderful, and extremely helpful. We dealt with a lady called Manon or similar, she was so nice and helpful.|The location of this hotel is perfect, and probably in the prettiest part of Nantes, right on Graslin.|We ate in Chez Franklin as recommended by the hotel staff, and had snails for the first time, very nice restaurant & very popular. |I'd highly recommend this hotel.

Google
5 stars for the service in this hotel. The staff is super nice, welcoming, helpful and available. Special thanks to Simon & Manon for their kindness. Location wise, it is the best as everything interesting is walking distance. I also likes the breakfast who had enough variety with good local products.

Our stay was more than just wonderful!First off, the hotel staff are very nice, especially the humorous and handsome gentleman with glasses who led us to our room! We would like to tell you - Nantes won! And my boyfriend wanted to tell you - what a NICE WATCH you got! And, thank you for your warm welcome and strong work ethics. Way to go!Secondly, the room was clean and tidy and everything was where they should be haha - each bottle of water on each bedside table, trash bin under the sink, towel near the shower, even the hand wash. They use Rituals, liquid hand wash, not soap. Can you imagine? Class, classy! We have travelled everywhere and most hotels use soap, with no soap case, so the soap always makes a mess in the sink.Thirdly, they have a vending machine in the lobby where we can buy bottled water. Lovely! In general, perfecto!

We’ve just checked in at Oceania, and honestly — what a fantastic choice for our short trip to France! The location couldn’t be more perfect or central and the staff have been nothing short of brilliant.||||A special mention goes to Anthony (apologies if I’ve spelled your name wrong) — he not only made our check-in smooth and welcoming, but also pointed out the best local attractions. Later, he served us at the bar with an impressive knowledge of wine, making the experience even better.||||I couldn’t recommend this hotel more for anyone visiting Nantes!

Yelp
I spent my birthday in Nantes and loved this hotel. Our room was on the top floor in the corner and had a wonderful view of the Place Graslin. The staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. They made dinner reservations for us and helped with any directions or information we needed for our stay in Nantes. The location can't be beat. So close to all the sites, shopping and great restaurants. Being on the edge of the pedestrian zone makes it challenging to get there by car. Call ahead and they will give you a code to enter the area plus directions to the lot right behind their hotel. Once the car is safely parked, everything else can be reached easily on foot and it is a pleasure to explore the city from the hotel's location. The room itself was quite comfortable and had amazing air conditioning considering how in France that is not always the case. The bed was so comfortable I never wanted to get out of it! Breakfast was wonderful. The typical French breakfast you know and love. I did find a new favorite thing at breakfast which is a local specialty called Le Gateau Nantes. It is the most deliciously moist and decadent rum cake that went great with a strong cup of coffee. I loved the cake so much I ended up buying one on the way out of town to enjoy down the road. I look forward to my next visit to Nantes and know exactly where I will be staying.
