We stayed at the Oceanis Beach for 10 nights in October and we had a fabulous time. Every staff member we encountered were friendly and helpful. They all work so hard, I don’t know where they get the energy from. Particular praise to the housekeeping staff - very cheerful ladies and always said hello. It saddened us when we asked how they were when passing and they said hardly anyone ever asks how they are so please if you see them ask how they are doing! They will really appreciate it (along with the other staff too!). ||Our room was lovely - we had the upgraded Sea View room and the view was spectacular. Perfect view of Turkey and Symi in the very far distance, and of course the beautiful blue sea. The beds were really comfy - you do only get one pillow each but we asked at reception for another pillow each and within 30 mins it was bought up to our room. TV’s have a few English channels but mainly news - the majority of channels are for the German guests. ||The hotel whilst is international is quite clearly aimed at the German market. There were a lot of German guests staying - lots of the ‘excursion’ boards are in German and in particular I thought the breakfast offering was very continental - even though it says an American Buffet, the only American thing is Pancakes. ||The food was brilliant each night - every night has a different theme and we didn’t struggle to find anything to eat. My partner is dairy intolerant and each dish has the allegens clearly labeled so you know what you can and cannot have which is very good. All the food was tasty and much better than other All Inclusives I’ve stayed at previously. ||The pool area was lovely, we had no issues getting any sunbeds but we did go down about 8:30am after breakfast and stayed with the towels till 9am - after 9am you can leave them. I agree with other reviews though, the sun beds are not comfy and could do with replacing for next season - I noticed a few had started to rip at the sides. The parasols don’t really offer shade as they are see through, more for aesthetics. Proper parasols on the beach though across the road. ||The immediate area around the hotel is fine - it’s a busy road out front - there is a zebra crossing outside the hotel - cars don’t stop for you though if you’re just waiting on the side. You need to physically step onto the crossing then the cars will stop. Just be careful of the motorbikes as they zoom down that road. There’s a few bars, restaurants and supermarkets within a 5/10 mins walk. The hotel has a mini market which is okay for basic stuff but quite pricey - would recommend going out elsewhere.||Would we stay again? Yes we would however we would probably stay in a different area of Rhodes next time. You won’t be disappointed if you book here! Thanks everyone for a fab stay!
