"On Stock Island, an active commercial fishing hub east of Key West, lies this 175-key property, which fronts a sprawling marina. It comprises four identical coastal cottage-style buildings of three stories apiece, housing ocean-inspired rooms with balconies or terraces granting marina or mangrove views. The resort occupies a massive 20-acre swath, lush with mature tropical plants and active with bobbing boats at every turn. There's sparkling water everywhere—and that includes six pools on property, around which you’ll find loungers, cornhole, ping pong tables, giant chess, and live music on weekends. At the tiki hut area, discover a calm lagoon for non-motorized watersports and a pick-up/drop-off point for the resort’s complimentary shuttle bus to Duval Street in neighboring Key West (running 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily). It’s a popular choice for those visiting the lower Keys with their own boats—marina spaces can be booked separately via the dock master." - Paul Rubio, Nancy DePalma

"Give us an overview of this place. Down a residential road on Stock Island you reach the entrance to Oceans Edge, which fronts canals and a marina on the island just next to Key West. It's lush with tropical plants and palms, and has a bit of a residential feel too, with Key West cottage-style buildings (three stories, so not towers) that could just as easily be homes as a hotel. There's sparkling water everywhere and bobbing boats at every turn. What's the backstory? The property is located on Stock Island, so it's a bit removed from the Key West crowds but still just a 10-minute free shuttle drive to Duval Street. The resort occupies a manicured 20-acre swath and is the biggest player on the island. It attracts people who know that the best thing about the Keys is getting out on the water surrounding them to fish, snorkel, sail, and dive—and having your boat parked right in front of your room is a huge perk. Tell us all about the accommodations. Any tips on what to book? The rooms evoke Florida style with tropical paintings and prints. The rooms mix preppy and modern—think Palm Beach meets South Beach. Is there a charge for Wi-Fi? Wi-Fi is free and fast. Drinking and dining—what are we looking at? The restaurant, Yellowfin Bar & Kitchen, is very Tommy Bahama in appearance. It's an open-air affair with a big long bar, fishing photos, and an outdoor dining area within a few steps of the dock/marina. It's not a fancy place, but hardly a dive either—it's pretty come as you are, straight off the boat or from the pool. The menu is classic Florida Keys, with things like blackened shrimp salad, ribs, fish tacos, watermelon feta salad, and jerk chicken sandwiches on the menu. And the service? Service is good. Efficient. Casual. The hotel really has more of the feel of a vacation rental condo. Chances are the only times you'll visit the lobby is for check-in and check-out as it's in its own building attached to the restaurant. What type of travelers will you find here? Lots of anglers and their ilk here—salt life people who came to boat and be on the water more than in their bedrooms. They're talking about what's biting, visibility conditions for scuba diving, and storm patterns. What about the neighborhood? What else is around here? The surrounding neighborhood is an RV park with humble fisherman homes with lobster and stone crab traps out front. The property is gated and doesn't really try to be a part of the residential surrounds. There's a regular free shuttle from the resort to bring guests to Key West and also bikes you can use, on the house. They also throw in free SUP rentals during your stay to paddle around the surrounding marina and lagoon. Any other hotel features worth noting? A great spot for takeaway eats near the resort is Yahman's Authentic Jamaican Jerk Shack, which does great ribs and jerk sandwiches you can sit outside to eat or bring back to your room's balcony to enjoy. They also offer free paddle boarding, kayaking, and bikes to guests. Also, when fishermen are in the marina cleaning their catches you can watch giant tarpon hanging out under the boats waiting for a snack. Bottom line: Worth it? Why? It is—especially if you have your own boat. You pay extra to keep it here, but there's 24-hour security, and you can’t beat having your boat at the ready." - Terry Ward

"Ocean’s Edge Key West Resort & Spa is a dockside resort on Stock Island. The full-service 165-slip marina makes it easy for you to tie-up and check in. The 175 rooms have a subtle and playful upscale nautical theme featuring bright white paneling, natural wood and navy-colored accents, and views overlooking the marina." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Everything was perfect. My niece has her wedding here and the staff, location, accommodations were all amazing. Free shuttle every hour that takes you to downtown Key West and picks you up. Paddle board, Kayak, and bike rental on site. Lots of iguanas, geckos, nurse sharks, tarpon, and many other fish that were so fun to see right at the marina. 6 pools with cold water stations conveniently located by each one. It was an absolutely beautiful weekend and would definitely recommend!! They accommodated our large family (60+) for the wedding and it was a great weekend.

Oceans Edge is a top notch resort with beautiful views, a clean atmosphere, and excellent customer service. From the moment we checked in, we felt very welcome by all of the staff we encountered. The shuttle service was extremely convenient and saved us lots of money in Uber fees, as we traveled back and forth to the downtown area each day of our trip. Jeffrey one of the bus drivers was amazing and very knowledgeable of the area and the history. Our room in building 4 was very quiet, relaxed, and cleaned very well. We enjoyed the six different pools on the property and the free concierge service. Richard from the concierge was very helpful, and even provided his number to text him for future bookings during our stay, which was convenient. We booked two excursions with him without an problems. The only downside is how far the resort was from the downtown area, about 25 minutes. However, the free shuttle and all of the other amenities at the resort made it well worth the stay. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and I would definitely recommend it to others.

What a stunning place. Super impressive on arrival and exactly as described when I booked. Rooms were gorgeous and so clean. Beds very comfy. We were only there for one night as part of a bigger trip to Florida and I really wished we had stayed for longer as there was so much else of key west we wanted to see. Too far to pop back from the UK! I loved the vibe of key west and this hotel. We decided to eat at the hotel restaurant rather than use the shuttle bus into the old town. The food was perhaps a little more expensive but have to say it was gorgeous and the service was great (wish I could remember his name) This trip was part of 50th birthday celebrations and it was everything I wanted it to be. Front desk staff lovely and welcoming and also on check out were lovely.

The hotel was beautiful. We had a kayak tour with Anela and Heather that was offered. They were so sweet and the tour was awesome. This was the first time my husband ever kayaked and they were so helpful. Definitely would do it again. Heather explained everything about the options for kayaks, bikes, gulf carts, and paddle boards and she remembered my name when we came back! We also had a bus that went downtown with the driver Bob. He told us so much about the area during our rides. Love all the activities!

Enjoyed our stay a second time here . Several pools to choose from not overcrowded. Great views from the room. |The staff is very friendly. Patric greets you upon arrival and couldn’t do enough for you , rooms are clean and refilled with water and coffee daily. If you decide to stick around for lunch or breakfast the food is very good and so is the service . Take advantage of the free shuttle, drivers Bob and Jeffrey are very informative on the ride downtown and make great recommendations

We just got back from an amazing stay at Marina Resort in Key West, Florida, and couldn’t be happier with our experience. From the start, the resort had a warm, friendly atmosphere that instantly made us feel welcome. The staff were outstanding—always friendly, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed. Their focus on making our stay enjoyable and stress-free really stood out, and you could tell they take pride in every detail. One of the highlights was the convenience of the resort's shuttle service, which made getting to Duval Street a breeze. It was so nice to explore all the fun and excitement of downtown without the hassle of driving or parking. Thanks to the great location and helpful tips from the staff, we also got to visit some amazing places nearby, like the Ernest Hemingway Home, the Butterfly Conservatory, the Southernmost Point, the beautiful oceanfront views, and the Key West Garden Club at West Martello Tower. Everything about our stay was relaxing, fun, and memorable—and that’s all thanks to the great team at Marina Resort. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-Star Service That Deserves a Standing Ovation! Jen wasn't just our waitress; she was the culinary GPS we never knew we needed. Her recommendations were so spot-on, I half expected her to start charging for her taste buds. Drinks? Never dipped below half-full—she had them topped off faster than I could say "refill, please." And the best part? She was a joy to chat with. If there were a "Server of the Year" award, Jen would have a trophy shelf by now. Jen, you're the reason we’ll be back—and not just for the food. You're the secret ingredient to an unforgettable dining experience. Keep being awesome!
