Unsafe, Unhygienic, and Uncaring – Avoid This Place
If zero stars were possible, that would still be too generous.
We travelled with our 8-year-old son, who is autistic and non-verbal, and poses a high safety risk around roads and water. We requested an upper-floor unit to help keep him safe. Instead of assisting, the hotel replied that we could have an upper-level unit for an extra $299, on top of the almost $300 we’d already paid. That kind of price gouging for a basic safety request is disgraceful.
We ended up in a lower unit, with direct access to walkways and other guests' rooms — and spent the entire stay chasing our child to stop him from escaping, climbing fences, or entering unsafe areas. It was the opposite of a relaxing break — it was exhausting and dangerous.
The condition of the room made things worse:
We found a cockroach inside — completely unacceptable.
The fridge was filthy and smelled bad.
There were barely any dishes — just a couple of bowls and tiny plates. When we asked for proper dinner plates, we were ignored.
We booked for three people and were given a queen and a single bed, but no pillow for the third guest.
The decor hasn’t been updated since the 1980s — which might be fine if the place was clean, but it wasn't.
To top it off, the room came with a long list of ‘rules’ and fines, including threats if you didn’t take out the rubbish and clean before you left — like we were in a student hostel, not a resort.
This is not a suitable accommodation for families with disabled or special-needs children. It’s not even suitable for people who expect basic hygiene and respect.
We have photos of the cockroach and other issues, and we’ll be posting them on Google and Booking.com if this is not addressed.
This was one of the worst accommodation experiences we've ever had, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone — especially not to families needing a safe and supported environment
