I had an amazing experience in Svalbard with OceanWide. The crew was super friendly and did an excellent job in all regards: meals, excursions, informative sessions, room cleaning, logistics, etc. I realized that OceanWide implements a nature-centric approach in its expeditions, which is certainly aligned with my interests (others may prefer other options, perhaps more focused on comfort and luxury). In addition to the great organization and execution of the trip, we were super lucky especially with the weather (no rain, no fog, clear skies, etc.), but also spotting wildlife (polar bear, walruses, seals, whales, etc.). Again, if I plan to go again to the arctic or antartica, I will certainly contact OceanWide.

I went on an Antarctica Basecamp expedition with a company, and it was incredible—a memory I'll cherish forever. Camping, kayaking, and mountaineering were so much fun. We spotted lots of penguins, whales, and seals. The crew was awesome and super friendly. Being a vegan, I had a few food options on board, and the chef even cooked special meals for me sometimes. It was an amazing journey that I'll always treasure.

A trip with Oceanwide is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for any nature lover. The voyages aren't cheap, but they're worth every penny. You'll see magnificent sights and receive as much explanation as you like. The trip is led by a team of experienced and skilled expedition guides who are at the service of both the interested layperson and the seasoned nature watcher. They make every excursion, whether on land or by zodiac, a truly memorable one. There's plenty to keep you occupied on board: lectures, wildlife observations, a visit to the bridge, and a chat with old and new friends. But don't expect typical cruise entertainment, as thankfully there isn't any.

I just returned from my first polar expedition in North Spitsbergen with Hondius. I totally recommend this company. It was an amazing experience. This trip exceeded all my expectations. There were many activities and you could never get bored. The scenery, the wildlife and of the sea ice were magical. All the crew and the expedition staff were very professional, well organized, really helpful and with amazing stories to share. Thank you all for making my first polar expedition so special! One of the greatest holiday experiences was recently on board the remarkable ship Plancius. The trip was phenomenal, from Ushuaia to inside the Antarctic Circle, camping out overnight under a star filled sky. Setting foot on the Antarctic continent. Experiencing Penguins, Seals, Humpback, Minke, and Fin Whales. Shags and Albatross, plus the breathtaking scenery of Antarctica. The guides are superb, the ship crew sensational. Food choices are as good as any high-class hotel and, in many cases, better. The restaurant team of Jerrica, Charlotte, Kahel, Indira, Prince, Raquel, supported by Jerricho, Maylin, Menchie, Alice, Lemuel, Stephanie, the cooks, the AB team, no better team exists on any ship Yes, it is expensive but if you can, it is highly, highly, highly recommended. The photos do not do it justice. The videos even of whale call can not give you the feeling, but as you can not have my memories, they will have to do.

I highly recommend Oceanside expeditions for wildlife and landscapes. The guides try to offer the best encounters and are flexible. Ortelius boat is a very good boat to spot marine animals and can enter to the ice.

We did an 8-day trip along west coast of Svalbard. The trip was amazing from the very beginning. The ship was very capable and well equipped. The cabins were comfortable. The food was amazing, really Michelin star quality. The Guides Team was exceptional. Incredibly friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgable. They did everything and beyond to make us feel safe and well looked after. It was fantastic and memorable trip. Thanks to All on board Ortelius!
