Ocho Artisan Bungalows

Had a nice stay here in an ocean-view bungalow in the heart of Tamarindo Beach. Stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed the hospitality, amenities and wonderful beachfront location. The bungalows are artistically rendered, with A/C, very comfortable beds, and all the amenities one might need for a few nights. The location is close to everything and the beach club set-up is the best in the area with nice beach lounges and umbrellas. The wait staff were friendly and very accommodating for bar/food services on the beach. There is a nice peaceful dipping pool for guests that is practically on the beach and a bonus. There is even a resident crocodile (Coco) who visits the banks of the river outside that was fun to watch. They welcomed us with a drink upon arrival and helped us plan a fun boating activity. The only negative here is the level of noise from the Ocho Beach Club, that went from noon to 9pm daily. The noise carried to our villa, and was difficult to escape. We ended up eating at other restaurants outside of the property that had a quieter atmosphere for dinners. Would advise to consider the atmosphere and level of noise you are looking for prior to booking here. Without the noise issue would rate it a 5 star.

We are absolutely OBSESSED with Ocho Artisan Bungalows- everything about our stay was a 10/10. From the incredible location steps from the beach and town, to the peaceful jungle setting, it was the perfect mix of convenience and luxury. What truly sets Ocho apart is the amazing staff. Every person we met was warm, thoughtful, and genuinely cared about making our stay special. Priscilla, Jimmy, Pablo, Giovanni, and Lourdes went above and beyond- they truly felt like family by the end of our trip.The bungalows are stunning- cozy, luxurious, and surrounded by nature. The beds were super comfortable, housekeeping was on point, and we had fresh towels and linens daily. The pool and beach access are unbeatable, and it’s just a short walk to all the shops and restaurants in Tamarindo.We loved the on-site restaurant and delicious beachside food and drinks. Breakfast was a highlight — a full sit-down meal with the freshest fruit we’ve ever had, not your typical hotel buffet. This place is something special. We’ll 100% be back- we’d never stay anywhere else in Tamarindo.

Our stay at this beachfront bungalow in Tamarindo was absolutely magical! 🌺 It was the perfect romantic getaway—cozy, private, and just steps from the ocean. Waking up to the sound of waves and watching the sunset from our porch was unforgettable. The location couldn’t have been better—right on the beach with a lively, fun atmosphere just outside our door. Ocho Bungalows was such a magical, peaceful experience! This was our first time to Costa Rica and we enjoyed our stay so much! The bungalows are so enchanting, a rainforest buddha vibe yet a quick walk to the beach. The staff was so AMAZING!!! Marco, Lordes and Priscilla were welcoming, charming and so accommodating! The CR breakfast was delicious! And the sauce the chef makes could be sold, so yummy! We enjoyed the happy hour during our stay, the music on the beach and are so happy to recommend the bungalows to others. The location is walking distance to many restaurants and the beach.

This was my first trip to Costa Rica and I am so happy that my first experience started here. The staff and management are superlative - attentive and available without intrusiveness , and always willing to assist us with any arrangements or questions we had. The bungalows are spacious, clean and well supplied. The robes, towels and linen, perfect. The restaurant offers an excellent selection B/L/D, and the chef didn’t disappoint, not one dish! Close to town, an easy walk for two not so youngsters. Thank you all for making this a holiday that exceeded all expectations!!! We will be back!

This was the absolute best hotel I have ever stayed at. We came for our honeymoon, and we're incredibly impressed. Jimmy, the bartender was a delight! He was so sweet. Paolo was always accommodating and always had a smile. Zula and Priscilla were able to assist us with activities, and they were so wonderful! Mauricio made our honeymoon perfect. Everyone went above and beyond any expectations I could have had of this place. All of these people made my honeymoon one of the best experiences of my life. The restaurant even has a romantic dinner that guests can set up. They set it up so beautifully and even made suggestions for my husband. Mauricio and the staff helped my husband surprise me with roses for the romantic dinner! I will be back here in five years for my anniversary. I highly suggest this place.

Stunning boutique style spot on the beach. Fun, affordable, delicious food, great staff, wonderful place to visit. Rooms were already booked, but beacfronly restaurant was open. We came every day for the ambiance and the people. Jimmy, Sean, Marco, Kenya, Lourdes, Melanie, and everyone else there was super accommodating. They welcomed me each day and served the best food I tasted in Costa Rica. Love you and cannot wait to return. They offer 1 bdrm bungalow thru an entire house. Pristine grounds and the most accommodating staff members on earth. ❣️

The Ocho was wonderful! The staff was friendly, the breakfast was made to order (no buffets here), the beach was gorgeous and the room was exquisite!||This was definitely a couples location , especially the rooms! The main area was huge with a king sized bed, a sitting area, mini fridge with a single serving Nespresso coffee machine and Air Conditioning. The bathroom had two entrances—both clear sliding glass doors, a rain shower with no walls, 2 person jacuzzi, 2 sinks and a toilet.||The restaurant and beach area were connected. They served breakfast at the tables on the beach and then you could easily move to the lounge chairs or sofas on the beach, which we did every day! From the beach you could walk the beach either way. The restaurant also served lunch to us on the sofas— loved their tuna poke bowls.||We would highly recommend Ocho to any couples looking to relax and enjoy the beach!
