Ocho Artisan Bungalows in Costa Rica truly surpassed everything we expected. From the moment we arrived, we felt transported to a beautifully designed, peaceful retreat—intimate, stylish, and completely unique. The beach club is a standout and easily one of the highlights of the stay. It’s the ideal spot to relax by the ocean, enjoy delicious food and cocktails, and soak in the laid-back beach atmosphere. A huge thank-you to Ilse, the hotel manager, who took exceptional care of us throughout our entire stay—and even beyond. She was always available to answer questions, help plan activities, and make sure everything went smoothly. We also enjoyed the massage and horseback riding, both of which were fantastic experiences and highly recommended. Overall, our stay was incredibly relaxing and memorable. Ocho Artisan Bungalows is a special place, and we’d happily return.

What an incredible place to stay. Beautiful property right on the beach, walking distance from everything in town. Great food and drinks at the restaurant. But what really sets this place apart is the people. From even before we got there, Sue and Ilse went out of their way to make sure every detail of our stay was perfect. Every employee - bartender, server, cleaning knew us by name and room number and greeted us anytime we walked by. At Ocho, they truly treat you like family. They also offer laundry service which is fantastic during a long trip.

Wow - what a magical time! I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Pri and Zula were INCREDIBLE - the best service and absolute kindest people. Gabriel at the bar was also exceptional - everyone staffed was so kind, warm, and friendly. We felt truly at home :) The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, bed is comfortable, and so charming/unique. Super safe area and the food at the restaurant was incredibly delicious - the fish and chicken tacos were some of the best bites we had on our entire vacation! The grounds were also gorgeous and we loved the pool and overall vibes. Would 100% come back and highly recommend Ocho to anyone visiting the area!

We had a wonderful 4 night stay in bungalow 6. Very cozy and nicely decorated bungalow, which stayed surprisingly cool, and no bugs! We were expecting bugs every night as there are tiny gaps in the walls and roof, but there were none! Space was cleaned daily, lovely coming back to a clean room every day. Included breakfast was tasty, as well as the one dinner we had at Ocho Beach Club, tuna bowl and shrimp tacos, very flavorful. The highlight of this place though was/is Ilse, who made very sure we were well taken care of. We had an issue with a beach vendor completely unrelated to Ocho, but she handled it! Constantly checking on us and dealing with all our request and always smiling and making us feel special. All staff here were friendly and accommodating. Great location walkable to restaurants and shops, beachfront restaurant was great, and loungers were reserved for us. We highly recommend.

Our bungalow was a beautiful sight, and we had the privilege of seeing monkeys, raccoons, and even a crocodile! The restaurant area offered a breathtaking view. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, remembering our names and making sure we had everything we needed. Sue was particularly great—friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we required. Ilse was amazing, going above and beyond to make each day of our stay special. She provided recommendations, engaged us in delightful conversations, and made us feel truly valued. To celebrate my 40th birthday, Ilse elevated the festivities by decorating our room while we were away. She also spoke to the chef to prepare our catch, and dinner was simply delicious, complemented by the rest of the food. We had an incredible time here, and Ilse truly made our vacation unforgettable. If you’re visiting Tamarindo, we highly recommend this place!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Perfect Stay at Ocho Bungalows! We stayed at Ocho Bungalows for 4 nights with our three kids, and it was truly one of the best family vacations we’ve ever had. The property is absolutely beautiful, the bungalows are just steps from the beach, surrounded by nature, and designed with so much care. Waking up to the sound of the ocean each morning felt like a dream. The location is perfect, right on a stunning beach, close to everything yet peaceful and private. It really gives you the best of Costa Rica in one place. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Every staff member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. They were warm, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The food was fantastic, fresh, delicious, and full of the Costa Rican flavors we hoped to experience. We loved the relaxed yet vibrant vibe of the whole place. It felt both luxurious and homey at the same time. Everything was spotlessly clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully arranged for guests. Our kids had the best time, and we felt safe, comfortable, and completely relaxed. We can’t wait to return. Ocho Bungalows is a true gem, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Costa Rica! 🌴✨

I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing Ocho Artisan Bungalows as a guest, at their beach club, and as a photographer, and I can’t recommend it enough! The bungalows are stunning, blending modern comfort with authentic Costa Rican charm. Spacious and impeccably maintained, every detail makes your stay feel special. Natural light, lush surroundings, and thoughtful design make every corner incredibly photogenic, from romantic terraces to vibrant beach club moments. We had the most amazing stay at **Ocho Bungalows**—it truly felt like a dream. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was above and beyond. Zuley and Pri at the front desk were incredible—so helpful, knowledgeable, and welcoming. They gave us fantastic recommendations for local spots and restaurants, which made our trip even more special. Gabriel, the bartender, greeted us with welcome cocktails that were absolutely off the charts—easily some of the best we’ve ever had! The owner, Shon, went out of his way to personally welcome us on our first day and made us feel right at home throughout our stay. The rooms were spotless and had that perfect cozy bungalow vibe. We also received daily room service, which made everything effortless. Breakfast each morning was exceptional—freshly squeezed juices, creamy cappuccinos, and delicious dishes that set the tone for the day. We also had lunch and dinner at the restaurant a few times, and the food was consistently fresh, flavorful, and unforgettable. Pablo and Giovani, the restaurant staff, went above and beyond to take care of us, treating us more like family than guests. Every detail at Ocho Bungalows made our week-long stay unforgettable. Between the warm hospitality, the outstanding food and drinks, and the serene atmosphere, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We can’t recommend this place enough—it’s truly a slice of paradise.
