I’ve visited this brunch spot a couple of times and tried several of their savoury dishes. The concept behind the food is very great, but unfortunately, the dishes have consistently been quite dry and lacking in sauce. If they could improve on this, it would easily be a five-star experience. The atmosphere is lovely, and it’s also dog-friendly, which is a big plus.

First time in Ocho, it won’t be the last. I had a new dish on the menu, French toast stack with Halloumi, tomatoes chili oil coated nuts and a herb dressing topped with a poached egg. It was absolutely fantastic and a big plate of food. Would thoroughly recommend this place for breakfast or brunch.

I have recently discovered this little gem and its been so good that i really look forward to coming each time. I have a few hours to myself each sat morning once ive dropped the kids off to their Saturday activity class. The area does not have many choices for a good breakfast/brunch spot so i was delighted to have found this place. Always seems busy, service is good and the food is great too. Only visited twice so far and ive ordered the same thing both times (sweet potatoand chickpea hash plus chorizo). First time i visited i felt the portion size was a bit small for the price. However the second time, portion size was bigger, so im hoping the second time sizing is the norm. If visiting, I'd advise to book in advance as there is limited seating. Parking is usually ok. I only have visited on A sat morning and there seems to be plenty spaces.

Lovely place for breakfast! The young male waiter was lovely, very friendly and made us feel very welcome despite coming on a very busy day. Coffee was so good I got one to take away.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch here today. Good menu choices. We had the breakfast burrito & steak sourdough sandwich. Would highly recommend both. We were served quickly & food arrived promptly. Staff were friendly & helpful.

Tucked away by the canal, Ocho in Glasgow might just be serving up the city’s best-kept breakfast secret. I popped in for a morning bite and ordered the breakfast meat burrito—and wow, what a decision. Packed with crispy bacon, juicy sausage, fluffy egg, and fresh, zingy pico de gallo, this burrito was a flavour bomb from the first bite. Everything was perfectly balanced—nothing overpowering, just layers of goodness wrapped in a warm tortilla. Honestly, it might just be the best breakfast burrito I’ve had. The vibe was laid-back, the staff friendly, and the food? Next level. What a find.

- welcoming and caring staff - nice and good atmosphere - ordered their special Turkish breakfast. It was delicious. I enjoyed every bite of it Overall, great experience and highly recommended. Note to the owner: I saw you allow dogs inside the restaurant. Unfortunately, some people are allergic to animals. Please pay attention

Yelp
Ohhhh my gooodnessssss gracious meeeee yaaaallll! Ocho is awesomeeeeee! So I've known of Ocho for quite some time and have seen it as I made my way to the Whisky Bond tons of times but have never tried it because it had a bad rep on Yelp and err'where else I read online. But alas, it has a new owner, new menu, new service, new err'thang!!! It is now an amazing gem that you cannot miss out on! Located right next to the canal, with the most gorgeous view of Glasgow, ESPECIALLY on a good sunny day, Ocho is a restaurant that does upgraded and modern Scottish British dishes. They get fancy for dinner but apparently, they do casual menus during the day too like pancakes and sandwiches! Definitely heading back to try them pancakes y'all. They also make cakes! CAKESSSSS Anyway, for dinner today, we had the 4 course taster for £25 each (not including your drinks of course). We started with an amuse bouche which unfortunately I can't recall the ingredients but it's was like an amazing shot of tasty soup, like super tasty! This was followed by our first dish of fish, and then beetroot risotto WHICH WAS DELICIOUS, and duck breast with lavender oil, which was by far my fav. I'm not a big fan of the duck but the portion was just perfect, it wasn't too fatty or oily and the lavender oil was very special and subtle/fragrant! Who knew that'd go well with duck?? Interesting pairing! For dessert, we had a type of fresh fruit pudding with passion fruit sorbet. SINFUL, PURE SINFUL. That sorbet was far too good! Staff members were so super friendly and accommodating. They also have a selection of wine and spirits to go with your delicious food. Wifi is available and legit really good playlist too! Will most definitely go back to visit! Will bring the Italian for brunch or a wee afternoon tea some time soon. Will try to visit when it's a sunny day so we can sit outside on their picnic benches and enjoy the scenery! Pay a visit to this awesome gem of a restaurant, and discover a very special part of Glasgow while at it! :) Loved it a lot!

Yelp
We decided to visit Ocho for a Sunday brunch, so we arrived here shortly before noon. The location is good, and Speirs Wharf seems like a quiet and peaceful area (at least on a Sunday morning). It's right by the river, so you can go for a quick stroll before or after your meal, if the weather permits. Some outside seating seemed to be on offer as well, so you could have your drinks or your meal outside if you preferred. The restaurant itself seemed like a meeting point for locals as well, and everyone was friendly. Parking was available on site, but I'm not sure if this would be the case during busier times or peak hours. I went with the steak sandwich with peppercorns sauce and sweet potato fries, as well as some coffee. The service was fast and friendly, so there's absolutely nothing to complain about there. Our food arrived in short order, and was delicious, as was the coffee. The price was reasonable and the portions were big enough, especially for a brunch. At the end, it felt like I could have had dessert if I absolutely wanted to, but I didn't need to - the main course was enough. To sum it up: this is a really nice restaurant that I'd probably visit on a regular basis if I lived closer to it. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars only instead of five is that it won't make me drive across town on a regular basis to eat there like some other restaurants (to which I gave five stars) do, but I will visit again if I'm in the area. I definitely recommend giving it a try if you get the chance!

Yelp
So I'm lucky enough to work just doors along from Ocho and often find myself nipping in for a quick takeaway on a weekly basis! Its now under new management and what an improvement that is! Located right on the canal up at Speirs Wharf (yes that is the correct spelling) and if it is a sunny day you have cracked it! So by now I have tasted a few of their lunchtime dishes. From their soup and sandwiches to the chilli! All are very pleasant for a lunch stop. With a menu changing daily the food is always fresh. So why a 3 star and not 4 star, firstly the pricing is really inconsistent for example I bought the same lunch two days in a row and it came to 2 different price, it was the exact same sandwich and the exact same can. Secondly the staff seem a bit all over the place and it just seems a bit frantic on some days, which has lead to them forgetting my order- on more than one occasion. Maybe this will iron out over time! What I can say is that it's always busy during the day! It's not a massive place but there is more than enough tables. I really like that they are doing something different it really has potential to be great! They have some great dishes like the sweet potato soups are always a winner and the chilli is great also!
