We were very excited to go to Ocho after having seen the chef compete on Chopped. The food was really delicious. Every bite was tasty and well worth the trip. But there are a few caveats. The glossy pictures on the website and elsewhere are not entirely representative of the place. It is a bit dowdier than photos but certainly fine. There was bird or two that had gotten caught inside. It was a Thursday night at 7 and there were 4 out 5 tables in the whole place. Service is lacking unfortunately. We were greeted and seated quickly but it took a while to have our order taken. Then the food took far too long to come out given there were only a few tables in the whole place. I noticed the other tables had the same issue. I saw our server on his phone at the bar a few times. The food came out *just* warm enough for me not to send it back. It took so long to come out, I did know how long it would take to come out again. Overall the food was incredibly good so worth the trip but I would be concerned about service and time.

As good as the food is, and it is truly incredible, the service is even better. Jackie was the young lady who took care of us and we could not have been more pleased. She pays great attention to your every need while dining. The drinks were flavorful, the food was a culinary delight and the atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing. After dinner we enjoyed a couple of cocktails in what is described as a Speakeasy. A dark and sensual environment with good music and a very nice vibe.

Do want to try authentic Latin food with amazing drinks? This is your spot!!! I loved, loved, loved the ambiance here. I came on a Wednesday evening and enjoyed a quiet dinner with my friend. The service was impeccable and the food came out quick. There’s a small parking lot on the side of the hotel or you can free street parking behind the building or along Navarro. Let’s get into the food: *Costilla Lomo Salgado (short rib): 4/5 it was very flavorful and well cooked. Just a little on the saltier end but I ate it all! *Pescado Zarandeado (grilled red fish): 4/5 *Fall Back to You: Bourbon drink. Very tasty. Not too sour or sweet. I will definitely be coming back.

Charming vibe, great staff, delicious food. Good amount of vegetarian options. Would recommend the cheese and guava appetizer (can’t remember the name.. I think starts with a b!). Reminded me of pastries I had in Brazil. Already day dreaming about coming back to have again!

Ocho is absolutely beautiful and delicious! The customer service here went above and beyond for my friends and I. We had quite the journey getting to the restaurant, and our waitress was an angel! Drinks were bomb, and the food took me to the island 🏝 🇵🇷! I plan on making this my go-to for downtown events!

Google
Ocho has a welcoming charm! We enjoyed the chilaquiles oaxaquenos and carnitas ocho plates. Ufff let’s talk about the queso flamdeado, SOOO GOOD! I also had a delicious cappuccino with vanilla. Overall, service was excellent and food even better. We will be back!

No need to travel 90 miles south of Florida, here’s a San Antonio hidden gem that we got to try out. Featuring not only Cuban inspired plates but a variety of Latin American flavors and dishes. We had the Cubano Sandwich and it totally blew us away with authentic flavor and very generously sized serving. The “tostones” or fried plantains were paired with a creamy, spicy dip that gave it just the right level of heat. We topped off the sandwiches with a “Cubano” coffee - expresso coffee with a light sweet hint and authentic crema top. Great place to gather with friends, family or that special someone. We also tried their Black Bean hummus with fried Naan bread as our “Botana”.

Popped in for a Sunday brunch. The space was beautiful and clean; the service was incredible. Favorite dishes were the pozole and the fish tacos. Shoutout to Jackie and team for the great hospitality.

Yelp
Today we had lunch at Ocho on their outdoor patio overlooking the beautiful San Antonio Riverwalk. It was a peaceful view and we were able to have my sister's dog since they are pet friendly. Angela was our server and she was very friendly and helpful while we made our menu selection. She always kept our drinks full. The food was amazingly delicious with every bite. We even had enough to take home for later.

Yelp
Good place. We have been here a few times, especially before show the Tobin center. We had a salad that was outstanding and some chicken that was just OK. All in all it was a good place. A little bit pricey for the Porsche sizes that she had but we would still recommend it. Try the Tostones!

Yelp
The patacones guapos and tacos del lechon were very savory and delicious . Unfortunately, the ribeye was supposed to be medium but it was dry and crunchy. The yuca fries were like bricks. Being that I'm Latina, I can honestly say these were the worse yuca fries I ever attempted to taste.

Yelp
I was wondering why this establishment had only three stars. It has a nice ambience, the drinks are good, and some of the food is acceptable. But a business that turns away customers 45 minutes before closing is not a welcoming or efficient restaurant - my companion who owns restaurants was shocked at the authority given a bartender to turn away customers 45 minutes before closing. In the past I've had the pancakes and carnitas with were good but any egg dish comes extremely overcooked, mine and the couple next to me had the same problem. My self and my companion live in the area and this is the second time a special event has restricted access to the restaurant. The first time we were granted partial access, but this particular bartender was not in charge. This time she was adamant and rude! - no access 45 minutes from closing. Nice we live nearby, we would've been regular customers-WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING!

Yelp
Ocho is an absolute gem located in a conservatory with stunning views of the San Antonio Riverwalk. The ambiance is beautiful, with blue chairs and hardware that perfectly complement the Cuban vibes. The fresh flowers on each table add a delightful touch, making the dining experience even more special. The service was top-notch, with multiple staff members checking in to ensure I was well taken care of throughout my visit. The cocktails are a unique highlight, especially the Cancer cocktail, which is made with tequila, cilantro, cucumber, and jalapeño. It's a must-try for fans of spicy drinks. The initial sip is refreshing, with the heat hitting you just as you swallow, all balanced by a salted rim. I started my meal with the PESCADO ZAREANDADO, which features grilled snapper, Romesco con pistachio, herb salad, and charred lemon. It was absolutely divine--flaky, perfectly seasoned, and bursting with flavor. Next up were the MADUROS: sweet buttered plantains with lime queso crema and cilantro oil. As a fan of plantains, I couldn't resist, and they did not disappoint. The lime queso crema added a unique dimension to the dish, and everything complemented each other wonderfully. For dessert, I took the churros to go. Normally, I'm not the biggest fan of churros, but these were exceptional. Filled with vanilla cream and accompanied by syrup and chocolate, they were a delightful treat. Overall, Ocho is a fantastic place to dine, and I can't wait to return. The beautiful setting, attentive service, and delicious food make it a must-visit in San Antonio.

Yelp
Ocho is a beautiful restaurant, perfect for any celebration! The food is always on point it'll make your palate explode!

Yelp
The ambiance was nice overlooking the River but the view is best because of the trees and foliage surrounding it. The service was a little slow but the food arrived hot. I did not like the sopas. They tasted like they were cooked in old oil and they were hard to eat. I ordered spinach salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was a little dry but the salad was fine.

Yelp
Very cute restaurant! Nice design and great for photo ops. The menu is very unique, even for San Antonio- there's a fusion kinda of vibe to it, Cuban/Pan Latin. The drinks were delicious, refreshing, and stiff! We came for dinner and our waiter was very attentive.

Yelp
On business and looking for some nice Cuban food and boy did we enjoy it! Nice patio sitting, very quiet and cozy. Great service and the food was out of this world! Flavors were on point, and every single dish was a mouth watering experience! On the Riverwalk (kinda), if you enjoy good food, you will absolutely LOVE this place!

Yelp
We were really excited to try this place, but ended up feeling underwhelmed by the service and the prices. On a Friday evening, we were one of only a few tables in the restaurant. Our server wasn't mean, but it just felt like we were interrupting his time to talk to the other staff with prices like these, you kind of expect to have a little bit warmer service. It always felt like we were trying to track him down. . And the rest of the staff seemed just as ambivalent. If it were just for the ambience, I would've given four stars. It's not really a popular or busy part of the Riverwalk that it is on, but it's nice to see the river outside. . All the glass is dazzling and I thought the vibes were good. My husband thought the place could look cleaner, but I thought that was an effect they were going for to not be too perfect. If I were giving reviews based on just food, I would also give this place four stars. Everyone liked their meals. I got the ribeye and I thought it was a bit too salty. The portions were not that big either. Maybe 3 1/2 stars if that were an option based on the price. And the menu is not that big, so it feels like it should be perfectly executed. Overall, we thought the food was pretty good, but none of us want to come back. This is a neat concept that we were really excited about and hopefully they can get it together to be a better place to eat

Yelp
Decided to walk over on a Saturday afternoon right at 5 pm. We were greeted by "do you have a reservation?" Didnt even let us walk inside, I looked inside and it was empty except for 2 people dining. We agreed to sit outside 95 degrees no biggie, the chairs were uncomfortable metal chair but my thought was the restaurant gon be full since is fully reserved. There was also a lady sitting outside smoking and I asked the server if is legal to smoke outside, she said yes. An hour later and only 4 people came in. Then another couple without reservation was seated outside waiting for the server, they gave up and went into the bar. The food was delicious except the rice and beans had more beans than rice and the chicken was dry even though it took about 40 mins after the appetizer to get the main dishes, perhaps the heat didn't help. The restaurant was 1/4 full. Imagine if it was. Mind you once before, I showed up for brunch and there was a special event. I didn't see anything online saying it was closed for an event. It's just pretty and expensive but nothing impressive.

Yelp
Went there for New Years special dinner with my family thinking the 4 course dinner was going to be a nice experience. Food was good but service and presentation of the tables below expectations. Front desk was not even aware of restaurant event hrs.
google avatar

T M.

Yelp
This place is beautiful! The main issue is that this is labeled a restaurant when really it's a private event rental space that is occasionally open to the public. We live nearby and almost every single time over the last 3 years we have gone to go eat there when they are supposedly "open", it's closed for a private event. Totally fine that it caters to private events, but it should not be labeled a restaurant since you can virtually never access the "restaurant".

Yelp
We came for brunch after staying a night at hotel Havana! We love how beautiful the indoor conservatory area is - so cute and service was great! We tried the pan de plátano (banana bread) - delicious!!! We loved it so much both loaves were finished no problem! I got the Cuban hash and my husband got the chilaquiles with eggs added and we shared both entrees! We loved the mix of both and would get everything again!

Yelp
Im giving 2 stars when really our specific experience warrants 1 star - but I want to be fair. Positives: our server was really sweet. She was polite and was trying her best to be accommodating. The food was really good. I imagine if it wasn't 30 degrees inside, the food would have kept its temperature and been amazing. Here's what happened. I made a reservation a week ago. We got to the restaurant, and it's a cold day here in San Antonio. The inside of this place was colder than the outside. We were told to take any seat along the windows. These windows actually lift all the way up to the outside in warmer weather, and there was a breeze coming through them. A couple near us moved to an empty table away from the window, and the guy at the bar told our server that she needed to make them moved because that table was reserved (no one sat there the entire hour we were there....). That couple ended up leaving, it really was that cold. My husband moved his chair to sit right next to me. He was told by the bartender "sir you need to move because sitting there is a fire hazard" even though that was no way true...there was like 10 feet from the chair to the wall and plenty of walk room. They were not accommodating at all when it came to the cold temps. It's a little silly that they can't get some heaters in there like any other restaurant...especially knowing how cold it is. I'm sure it's a great place when the weather is nice, and the rudeness of the guy working at the bar could be overlooked. But I don't recommend going here when it's cold unless you have your snowboarding gear on.

Yelp
The restaurant is amazingly clean, I am impressed by the vintage design. We were welcome by Miguel and sat on a beautiful table, with view of the San Antonio riverwalk, the utensils on the table were so shiny and clean, what a beautiful detail. They have a bar with a lot of selections, to included the famous Cuba Libre. I order the Chuleta with rice and beens and maduros. The Chuleta was cook to perfection and taste so juicy, the rice and beans unfortunately were too salty for my taste. My wife order the Carnitas, her was excellent and the pork tasted really good. I am so happy to have picked this restaurant for dinner tonight. If in San Antonio, you must put this in your San Antonio bucket list. Thanks to the Staff for a wonderful evening.

Yelp
Terrible service. We stayed at the Hotel Havana. Went down to their restaurant for a bite and we were told they were fully booked and were not taking any walk ins. We then went outside and booked online, plenty of options for reservations (that same day). Came back two minutes later, and were told that we could not be seated inside because others booked earlier (our booking confirmation didn't say that) no line waiting outside either)... any who... bad service, and terrible attitude at the bar (on Friday, October 11th, 2024 at 6:45 pm)

Yelp
Elevator=creepy. And the actual basement bar is ridiculously dark! Like seedy strip club dark. Upstairs actual ocho lounge and kitchen was closed before eleven; this was a Wednesday evening. So back we went into the creepy bar, where the bartender was actually quite friendly and offered to make me a bell pepper margarita. Actually.......pretty good! Will be back despite the creepiness of this bar lol

Yelp
I've been so excited to come here for my birthday, but im not going to lie, the service was awful! :( I work in the service industry myself, and I've never left a review , but I feel like I have to! we ve never dined here before and were confused about the entrance, so we were a few minutes late for our reservation. After we were sat, we waited for about 15 minutes before a server approached us. A few of us don't speak Spanish, so I told our server I may have a few questions about the menu, and she wasn't very helpful navigating it / or mentioned chorizo is an upcharge on the queso. We sat without water for the majority of our meal, and when we requested things it was either forgotten, or brought the wrong item. im never one to go into this much depth, but I just kept getting disappointed. For the atmosphere and the prices I expected a lot better service and it wasn't busy at all!

Yelp
Came here for date night! The Aguacate ensalada was tasty and refreshing. Had a very light dressing on it. There was even a little bit of pomegranate in it, and everything was so fresh.

Yelp
Food was fabulous, we had three meals. All superior ask for translation of menu. It helps. Staff accommodating. Cocktails great. We skipped river walk to come back to Ocho. It was a great decision.

Yelp
Solid food, great service. Ordered: chips and quac, plantains, chuleta, 2 Calle ocho's, and chille reyano. Dinner for 4 with 8 cocktails = $400 (+/-) plus tax. Great location, cute sunroom seating. Nice dinner before heading to the Tobin.

Yelp
This was a solid 4 star experience. The food was super good, we got the pork chop and the chile relleno and corn. I tried the Havana Nights cocktail, it was ok and kind of a let down for $16 drink. Staff were friendly and attentive. I will echo what everyone said. Service was really slow. From order to receiving our plate it took nearly 45 mins and the restaurant wasn't as busy. The restaurant started getting packed when we received our food, I can't imagine how long the wait would be for them. The ambiance is great! Very unique greenhouse setting. I recommend trying at least once if you are the area. It's one of those places that you go to once and not again, mostly for the experience and unique food.

B M.

Yelp
Went last night and decided to just do appetizers, which were fabulous, especially the Ceviche. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful. The ambiance was great and we will definitely go there again, however, stay away from the carrot popcorn cake, that was a major disappointment. Very dense and dry.

Yelp
We had a great time celebrating a wedding reception in Ocho Restaurant! The setting was beautiful and the weather was perfect. The food was so good and the open bar was good as well. The margarita was too sour but the old fashioned was great. The waiters and bartenders were professional-- The dance floor was quite small but we all had an amazing time!!! The entrance of the hotel was perfect for the fireworks send off!!!
google avatar

paulina S.

Yelp
We did come in the middle of the week but we expected a little more people so we were shocked when it was empty. We walked in thinking it was closed and walked all the way to the bar until the bar tender finally got off her phone to let us know what to do. The food was good but felt like for the price it should have been a little more? Felt like maybe the vibe wasn't there that night . Maybe we'll come back and try breakfast ?
google avatar

Jay J.

Yelp
We went on a day that was nice enough to sit outside on their small patio area. It was beautiful ! The food was as expected from a fine restaurant like this. I had the chilaquiles and it was delicious. Now I did upgrade and got carnitas on top so that was a hefty additional cost. Nevertheless it was worth the price. Overall delicious and I highly encourage you to try OCHO at the Havana Hotel. They do have indoor seating if the weather prevents you from sitting outside. So I did want to say, if you are craving Tex-mex food, you are going to be disappointed because there are no tacos, Barbacoa, huevos rancheros, sweet tea on the menu. This is a Spanish restaurant so just be aware if that's what you are looking for.

Tim H.

Yelp
Food was ok- enjoyed the confi pork taco. Host at the bar seemed to have a problem and that kinda spoilt the experience.
google avatar

Melissa D.

Yelp
Ocho leaves a lot to be desired, especially since they highlight their chef winning Chopped. The interior of the building is beautiful. We went on a cold rainy night and were seated in a small 2 person table along the windows which were pretty drafty. We started with a beer and margarita which were expensive but we expect that with it being downtown and the look of the restaurant. For an entree we asked the waiter about the mushrooms on the menu thinking they might be oyster or some other nicer mushroom. They weren't sure the mushrooms but we went ahead and ordered them anyway...our mistake. We paid for baby Bella mushrooms which we would've never ordered if we knew they were using the most basic of mushrooms. It tasted like something I could whip up at home. We decided to head out after that and go to a different restaurant. I've heard from friends that their brunch is the main draw but we most likely won't be back.
google avatar

Krystal P.

Yelp
Really disappointed. I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time. The ambiance is really cute and they did a good job decorating. However, their cocktails were sub par. The dirty martini was extremely salty, and I like salt. I asked for a vodka soda with lemon and they poured a bunch of lemon juice in it, I thought when I said with lemon that was self explanatory for a lemon wedge but apparently not. The Caesar salad was also extremely salty, they either added way too many capers or had capers and anchovies (I couldn't tell which). The tuna appetizer tasted like pumpkin pie? Not what I was expecting. And the shrimp appetizer was so oily and buttery my stomach instantly felt bad from one bite. The only thing that was good was the ceviche. On top of the food and drinks being poor, the service was extremely slow. We saw our waiter three times the entire meal. Once to take our order, once to tell him we wanted the check and once when he brought the check. I will not be returning and I expected much more for this place, especially if I am paying those prices.
google avatar

Yelp
Peach was our server-amazing doesn't even cover how terrific she was!! We tried so many things and almost all of their food is GLUTEN FREE!! They don't have traditional iced tea, tried a new one, olive tea-glad I tried, won't have again. Lamb was beyond delicious, so tender and full of flavor. Stuffed pork chop was mouthwatering!! The non-gluten free had the Mexican brownies as well. Overall portions were GREAT, flavor made us want to stay another day, and our server was the best!!
google avatar

Nancy M.

Yelp
Came on a Sunday afternoon (no reservations) and we're seated right away. The service is a tad slow but the food is delicious! We stared with coffee and banana bread. The banana bread was warm and not overly sweet. For our entrees we had the Huevos Divorciados and the Torta Havana. The sauce on the huevos divorciados was very tasty, not spicy just savory. The torta was the star of the day. That thing was huge and stuffed! My husband couldn't not finish it. We will definitely be back for more yummy food. Oh and parking was free and on premise.
google avatar

Jessica A.

Yelp
Visiting from with parents and loved this brunch spot! The architecture and eclectic style blurred the lines between indoor and outdoor dining in the best way. Server was friendly and had A+ recommendations from the menu. Cuban Latin fusion on a classic American brunch with generous portion sizes and flavors to match!
google avatar

Yelp
Went to Ocho to scope out the location for a possible wedding. We made reservations for 4 for Sunday Brunch at 10:30am. When we got there the place was EMPTY! We were seated at an eclectic table with a couch and two chairs. The couch was littered with crumbs...yuck! Was the first impression we had. The waiter was ok; we ordered drinks and shared the plantain cakes with carnitas and the hash. The food was good and enough to share. The space is not inviting. Good for pics, maybe, but not what I would consider an upscale experience.

Venessa O.

Yelp
My friend and I tried for over two weeks to make a reservation for a large group (8 people). The staff kept giving us the runaround saying only a manager could make a reservation for that size. They took our information multiple times saying a manager would get back to us and never did. We called daily and same result every time. Even after specifically requesting to speak to a manager, we were again given the runaround. To add insult to injury, on the day of my dinner event, I showed up fully expecting to get on a waiting list but was told they couldn't accommodate a group that size without a reservation and the manager there claimed he never received our messages or emails and couldn't do anything to help us. I will NEVER go back! Clearly they don't care about customer service.

Yelp
Beautiful brunch place with the girls. The food is a little Light on flavor, but good and absolutely gorgeous. Small parking lot but we've always been able to find something.

Yelp
I came with my girlfriend on Valentine's day and the meal, ambience and overall night was perfect. I was nervous it wasn't gonna be as great sitting outside, because by the time I made a reservation all the "observatory" aka inside restaurant slots were taken. But sitting outside gave us so much privacy. We were on a table in the entrance hallway but there was no one sitting next to us during most of the meal, so it was fairly quiet and easy for us to talk to one another. That can be hard to find on a busy, Valentine's date night. The lights, greenery and heat lamps made it all very comfortable and scenic too. The food was SO GOOD. I love how unique in flavor everything was. We ordered Filete con chimichurri, elote callejero, and pollo verde y chayotes. We had a few cocktails too but I forgot their names. I picked the one with Empress gin and it was sweet and not too floral. The steak was amazing and the chimichurri wasn't as much of a sauce but still complimented the steak. My gf loved the chayotes with her chicken and hasn't tried that vegetable before. I would say the elotes were the most underwhelming. Still good, but hard to eat on a date night. They were on a cobb, broken up to 3 pieces. My favorite part of the night was dessert with the gorgeous grapefruit flan. It worked out perfectly with that flavor, being my gf's favorite fruit. It complimented the flan so nicely with a tartness that counteracted the flan's sweetness. I would go back for that alone. I'm so happy I chose this place for our first Valentine's together and would love to take her again.

Yelp
I would give this place a solid 3.5! I came here with my fiancé and best friend who lives in San Antonio. We got the Coctel campechana, mejillones borrachos, and the cordero for entrees and then we got the fried plantains. The weird thing was that all of these came out back to back instead of all at once. So we kept eating, stopping, and then eating again. Our server was amazing though! She was really accommodating and kept making sure we were taken care of. I'm wondering if they thought we wanted it to come out one at a time... The drinks were good! We got some wine and a couple cocktails. Overall, I would not be against coming back here to try some of their other things

Yelp
Great Hotel Experience except with Ocho this AM. Trained to say "we're only taking reservations" despite being nearly empty 45 minutes before closing? I can't even sit at bar and get coffee! I'm told you're short staffed? One cannot pour coffee and sell a croissant? What is short is common sense: very disappointing.
google avatar

Yelp
Slow to no service. Not busy. Different server from order, to no service to partial service. No table settings, no concern of no service. Wednesday nite, no excuse. Workers everywhere. Hmmmmmm What is the big screen on the wall? Interesting. Stayed at hotel, quick fix on food and beverage turned into total frustration. Good luck.

Yelp
On my first visit to Ocho was for brunch and we had a beautiful patio table overlooking the river walk. Seating is limited, it's a small place so I encourage reservations. I had the mimosas and El Americano breakfast. It was a standard breakfast, I loved the toasted bread and my eggs were cooked well. I feel like it might have been a little pricy for what it was, 17 dollars for two eggs bacon and bread but it was good. My husband ordered the chiliquiles and I could not get enough of it! Wow, the flavors, the seasoning and crispness of the tortillas used was so delicious. I'm getting that next time for sure!
google avatar

Amy M.

Yelp
First time trying Ocho and it did not disappoint. I ordered the Havana nights cocktail which was not bad but not worth the $15 price. We split the frita cubana (AKA burger) which was good (I'm not a fan of chorizo not to Ocho's fault). We swapped the vinegar chips for fries as the side. Very tasty! Lastly ordered the churros for dessert and so glad we did. The churros were nice and crunchy, the apple hibiscus compote was sweet and tart but the winner is the dulce de leche ice cream. So creamy and I'm just sad we had a small scoop of it. Overall, we enjoyed the service and food and would love to stop by for try number 2.

Yelp
What? Where did this place come from? Cuba? This is a hidden gem. Loved the food. Service was friendly. This is a place for good food, very relaxing and good friends. We went for brunch on Saturday. Three of us ordered the plantain bread, plantain pancakes with carnitas and hash. It was all great! I think we enjoyed just relaxing and taking in the retro style atrium atmosphere. As people entered, a smile came on their face. Great atmosphere with friendly staff. Coffee and Orange juice seems very flavorful and fresh.

Yelp
I was just here for a group dinner and the food and service was impeccable. Two people in our group had food allergies and making some substitutions was not a big deal. The drinks menu is top notch and the chicharrones crispy.
google avatar

Jacqueline H.

Yelp
Ocho has some beautiful things going for it: 1. the setting. Located on the river, inside of an atrium connected to the hotel Havana 2. the decor. Bright lapis and turquoise blues, such as the tufted plush velvet booths, the center bar, alongside steer horns, damask high back chairs and Victorian style setees. 3. cocktails. It's a Cuban based bar and restaurant, but we ordered margaritas and they were made perfectly. We enjoyed margaritas along with chips and salsa - although the chips and salsa were underwhelming, we loved the setting and the cocktails.

Yelp
Had a lovely breakfast. Everything was very good. Pretty atmosphere unless you don't like birds.

Yelp
A delightful brunch awaits, overlooking and running alongside a wonderfully curated and serene stretch of the River Walk -- location and well appointed atmosphere alone is enough of a draw, but the plates are scrumptious as well. The food is clearly inspired by the traditions of the region, emphasizing authentic ingredients, but creatively modernized and well-presented -- portions are generous, plenty of time to indulge over a lazy weekend morning. Service is friendly, and just attentive enough. Really terrific way to start the day on a visit to San Antonio.

Yelp
We've been eyeing this fabulous place for a while, and finally got here for brunch! It's located inside a glass conservatory, right next door to the historic Havana Hotel & Bar off the Riverwalk. It's so neat and swanky in a non-pretentious way, and we just loved everything about it! Definitely need reservations, especially if you want to sit inside. The service was a bit slow, but we were just enjoying our company and didn't mind a bit. The food, which was Cuban-inspired, was more than worth it! All the flavors, textures, and colors melded deliciously and went perfectly with the mimosa service we got. This was definitely a hit and a nice addition to our brunch list.

Yelp
Had such a great time at Ocho, I arrived 15 mins early and my gal pals 15 mins late so I had 30 minutes to just sip on some coffee and take in the beautiful restaurant. The Plantain Pancakes and carnitas was so good! The combo of sweet and savory hit the spot. The chilaquiles were pretty good, we added avocado. The salsa roja was flavorful and the dishes were filling! The server Jonathan was really nice!
