Bistro at the Courthouse

We had a tour scheduled at the Bushmills distillery, and called them to ask for a recommendation to get lunch before the tour. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would, our meal was beyond delicious! What a little treasure this place is, everything from the minute we stepped in to our last bite was perfect! Service, atmosphere and the food!!! We ordered several items, lentil soup, dates wrapped with bacon starter and a turkey/ham meal. Each one was absolutely perfectly cooked and such delicious flavors! The lentil soup was creamy but light, such a depth of flavor that I was so disappointed when I finished it and it wasn't a cup, it was a bowl :) The bacon wrapped dates were a treat, they felt like dessert!!! My husband got the meal, a delicious slice of roasted turkey and slice of ham served with stuffing in-between, he couldn't stop raving about it. The sides of carrots were perfectly roasted and seasoned, the green beans and broccoli were light and fresh, cooked just perfectly. We ran out of room to try the mashed potatoes, but I can tell you the cauliflower cheese mash was divine! When we arrived at Bushmills I couldn't stop raving about our meal and was told that the chef that day was Ebony. Please please please DO NOT miss the opportunity to try this little gem!!!

Had a delicious meal here before heading to The Giant’s Causeway for sunset. Tucked away off the main strip it was quiet and private. Fries were a bit soggy but couldn’t fault the mains - fresh ingredients, punchy flavours.

The food was excellent — beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with real care and skill. Service was equally impressive, with friendly, attentive staff who made the visit feel effortless and welcoming. The wine selection was superb, offering well-paired options that elevated the meal even further. Excellent food: fresh top quality ingredients, expertly prepared. I love tapas and these were ones of the best I had in a long time. Nice atmosphere and super service. Not too be missed.

Called day of no problem! Others must be booked way in advance, what happened to spontaneous. Our table had such a view! Lovely The food was top notch! The cauliflower was just the right amount of spicy! We were not rushed to leave so we enjoyed our company and everyone had a special time together. Thank you to Ocho Tapas!

Gorgeous lunch at this hidden gem..service was excellent special mention to Ebony who went out of her way to make us feel so welcome . Got a Christmas sandwich which was just beautiful. Great value for money too. Well worth a visit .

Why did I not know this place has been around for years! We'll worthy of the multiple awards for the delicious food. Came for the early bird menu which was amazing value for three tapas. Equally impressed by the kids menu that was a welcome change to the norm. Fish went down very well. Portions are spot on for size, could probably have done without dessert but was very tasty. Lovely evening out in Portrush.

Caters well for gluten allergies. The menu is quite extensive and tasty. Goggle maps gave bad directions but watch the road for the turn-off. Beautiful scenery and excellent staff
