Octant Hotels Furnas

The hotel is ideally located, beautifully designed, for me it’s worth 5 stars. Murillo has been super welcoming since our arrival. The team does absolutely everything to keep your stay excellent. They prepared a bed for our daughter with very cute gifts. It was really nice. The rooms are extremely clean, the breakfast is absolutely amazing, with local products and homemade food. Special mention for the beef sandwich, they don’t even ask you how you want your meat because it’s absolutely out of he world. The spa is wonderful and they offer yoga in the water which is amazing. The experience manager does his job well and he found 2 farm experiences which we loved.

I've stayed here 4 times and each time is a supreme joy. The pools are rejuvenating, food excellent, staff friendly and helpful, location spectacular. I particularly appreciate that the amenities are open 24/7. There's nothing I like more than deciding at any hour of the day to go soak in the hot pools and truly relax.

Our stay at Octant Furnas was amazing. The room was spacious, super clean, and waking up to valley views from bed was magical! The spa was our favorite – the indoor pool and massage melted all our stress away.||Dinner was fantastic – creative local dishes that surprised us. But what really stood out was the staff. Riu at reception was wonderful! He sorted everything with a smile and gave us spot-on tips for exploring Furnas. You can tell he loves making guests feel at home.||Everything from check-in to checkout was smooth. Totally recommend – we’re already planning our next trip!

Our stay was perfect. The reception service was fast and friendly. Julia and Simao was amazing at the check-in time. The pinneaple liquor is fantastic.|The spa is a true sanctuary — the thermal pools.... wooooow. |A special thank you to Rui, Front Office Manager, who was always attentive, resolving a few situations with flawless professionalism and with a smile. It’s refreshing to see someone who knows exactly what they’re doing.|At the restarant the service was top, top, top. A big thank you to Daniel and João who elevated every meal with attention to detail, friendliness, and that kind of service that really makes a difference. The food? Outstanding with local products. The breakfast was amazing.||We'll be back for sure. Thank you all!

Rating: Neutral to below expectations. We came to use the spa. We arrived at 11AM on a Sunday, and we were the first people there—very nice. The spa is comprised of four pools, a dry and wet sauna, and showers. For me the place was average, given its advertised as five star. The facilities are a bit rundown and in need of attention: walls in need of paint, cobwebs in corners, the wood in the dry sauna is quite worn and had seen better days, one of the treatment rooms was broken, the lawn chairs were broken and very worn. Overall, we had a relaxing time, but this is no five star spa. Service was friendly and helpful. Aside: inside the pool area, people on laptops and taking calls—not super conducive to relaxation. I would recommend signs or enforcement of no tech/cell phones, to ensure all guests can relax. We had to address this with this with other guests, which was not enjoyable. There’s a lobby if you need to have meetings!

We stopped by the hotel just for a quick visit, without big expectations… but we left completely impressed! The thermal water pools are amazing. But what really stood out was service and friendly staff, a big thanks to Rui warm welcome, our hotel guide at that morning :). He took the time to show us around the entire property with remarkable attention and friendliness. We genuinely felt welcomed. We ended up having lunch at the hotel, and thanks to that thoughtful gesture, we’ve already decided: next time we’re in the Azores, this is where we’ll be staying.

Amazing Stay and Outstanding Service I recently stayed at this hotel during my trip to Azores and had a fantastic experience. The place is clean, beautiful, and very relaxing. What truly stood out was the exceptional service from Mauro, one of the staff members. He was professional, kind, and always willing to help. His attention to detail and warm attitude made a big difference in my stay. If you visit, I highly recommend asking for Mauro, he’ll make you feel truly special. Thank you for everything!
