We have stayed at this hotel several times, and each time has been positive. We just returned from yet another stay, and wanted to give credit where credit is due. First of all, the staff at this hotel is ALWAYS SMILING, ALWAYS FRIENDLY, ALWAYS HELPFUL. You cannot help but feel well cared for when everyone is so kind. The property is clean, airy, lovely. The beach (which is either a short walk or a hotel shuttle ride) is a vast white-sand beauty. Although we did stay here when our 3 kids were younger, this particular stay was just my husband and I. I would definitely call this a family-friendly hotel (there were small kids galore), but the hotel accommodates families with ease, and if you prefer quiet, it's easy to find solitude in the natural surroundings. A couple specifics that I've always loved: they provide each guest with a terrific beach hat, a beach bag, and even a small pouch (to carry incidentals). The rooms (many of them suite-style) are roomy and comfortable. The housekeeping staff is stellar, and they provide you with little bags called "Sleeping Kits", which include a small lavender spray bottle and ear plugs (such a sweet touch), as well as bottles of water and delicious cookies that I loved. Meals were outstanding, and - in fact - this was particularly telling on this visit because we happened to be there when the country-wide power outage occurred (April 2025). The Octant had generators that kicked right in, so we did not miss a thing, and that includes a fabulous breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast spread, by the way, is incredible. Top notch. While I
could probably go on, one final note is that the manager is always present. He wanders around, fully engaging with guests, staff, and making sure everyone is being well cared-for. A highly visible hotel manager is always a good thing. High recommendations for the Octant Praia Verde.
