I visited for breakfast (served from 0800-1300) and the bunch platters really stood out. Vegan Brunch Platter: frittata, taleggio, scamorza, parmesan, provolone, roasted pepper cream, cicchetti, olives, focaccia, mozzarella caprese skewer, vegetables, granola with yogurt, grass juice. Plenty of food on the platter and it was all super fresh! From the website: ODA is the city's garden restaurant. On the top of Tabán, in the former winemaker's house and courtyard, the concept was created by the collaboration of three restaurants. The fried meat is prepared by Buja Disznó(k), the bao is steamed by 101 Bistro, and the Roman pizza is baked on site by IDE Pizza. In addition to all this, Hungarian natural wines, a children's play area and a weekend farmer’s market are also available.

Great spot, combining 3 great, very different Budapest restaurants and providing the chance to taste them all in one sitting. Atmosphere was nice and cosy, food was cooked perfectly, textures and taste was spot on. We tried many but this was out favourite Buja Disznók rántott hús.

Cozy spot with a fantastic vibe, especially if you pick a table in the inner garden, perfect for a relaxed night out. What makes this place unique is that it brings together signature dishes from three different restaurants, so there’s something for everyone. The Roman style pizza slices from the IDE menu are amazing. Crispy, flavorful, and done just right. I especially loved the ones with Parma ham and those with Artichokes. The Antipasti Meat Plate is also a great option, perfect for sharing. If you’re craving something beyond Italian, the Prawn Tempura Bao from 101Bistro is a winner. Fluffy bao buns with delicious crispy shrimp. I always order the Taiwanese golden kimchi and the Tapioca Crisps too as they never disappoint. Don’t skip dessert here. The Salted Caramel Panna Cotta is a solid 10/10.🍕🥟

Oda Restaurant didn’t disappoint. My wife and I went for a weekday dinner and had a great experience. We started with a lemonade that was cold, refreshing, and just right. The green salad followed—and it was outstanding. The wasabi dressing added a superb zesty kick that really stood out. We then shared the Torikatsu breaded chicken leg, which was full of flavor and generously portioned—definitely enough for two. Service was attentive and friendly throughout, and the atmosphere was casual, comfortable, and inviting. Since we live just a couple of blocks away, there’s no doubt we’ll be back.

Im here pretty often and I like the place but I would love to complain about service. It used to be good 3-4 months ago but then people changed and it’s really bad. Waiters are not interested in clients: they are not coming to the table, not smiling, not interested. I’m really sorry if the salary is not good so I’m never rude to them but they are the most passive here. And it’s breaking my heart cause the place is so nice. I wish the owner is going to see that and it’s going to be changed. Also when you pay there is immediately tip option 10,15,20. And even when I’m coming to have coffee they are asking for tip: but the face cashier is making…oh god they don’t care Please, change the service in this place! It’s really really not okay to behave like that

Cozy spot with amazing food ✨ Oda Budapest is a lovely place with a warm atmosphere and fantastic food. Everything we tried was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were kind and helpful, making the whole experience even better. Can’t wait to come back!

Great combination of different foods. The service was slow. Though the garden is beautiful and makes up for it.

Update (June 2025): All in all, not much has developed in this place over the past year. I suppose the only advice that they listened to was to raise prices, and this they did significantly. The (now pricy) menu is still quite confusing, and the decor is still an insult to the character of this Tabán house. The service is still pretty good. Now, many people might be fooled by the fact that this place is often pretty full, but this is simply because there are no other alternatives in the area. Some healthy competition might be the only way to make this a better place… … Original review: Promising place with an identity crisis. As some might know, this used to be called Czakó Kert, and now after the ownership change it is called Oda. The new name is terrible, but that really doesn’t matter as long as the place is good right? Well, it is ok, but it suffers from an identity crisis, which is expected if you fuse three different places together. Decor: Less fitting than the previous one. The building is one of the few remnants of the burned down “Tabán”, which can be likened to Paris’s Montmartre. The current decor is too minimalist to reflect this atmosphere which was a winner for Czakó kert. Service: Good service, nothing to complain about here. Menu: Breakfast selection good but too large. “Pizzas”: Tasty and a good choice for the menu but offer maybe half as many. “Small salads”: Good “Antipasti plates”: Probably good but depends on portion size “Desserts” (Italian style): Why not “Slushies”: Good choice, but move to unified drink menu “Fried meat”: Focus on this, should be one of the most important parts of the menu. In general, more Hungarian or Hungarian fusion dishes would be needed. “Small plates”: No. Keep 1 max, move to salads/starters, make portion bigger and eliminate the rest. “Bao”: No. Keep 1 max, raise price, make portion size larger, and add to mains. “Plates with rice”: Terrible name. Keep one max, move to mains. “Dessert” No 2: Overpriced, keep 1 max, move to unified deserts. Overall: Make portion sizes consistent, and develop a normal menu with starters, salads, mains, pizza slices, deserts and drinks. Offer 1/3 of the current choices of food and drinks. Keep up the good service. Raise prices slightly. Change decor, as much as possible. Add ice cream. This is a huge missed opportunity. The sport center with a bunch of kids is literally 10 meters away. PS: I love Asian food from various countries but everything has a place and time. PS 2.: I will update this review depending on how the menu evolves.
