Oddfellows On The Park (Manchester, UK) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"A 19th-century Victorian mansion in a park outside of Manchester could be a recipe for a dreary time, but not only is this no ordinary park — Bruntwood, in Cheadle, is a vibrant public space, full of woodlands, ponds, and a sporting complex that includes a BMX track — but Oddfellows is no ordinary Victorian mansion. On the architectural level it’s a faithful restoration of a Gothic Revival structure, but its interiors mix period details with elegant modern design and plenty of quirky, light-hearted visual fun." - Tablet Hotels

What a hidden Jewel. I have stayed at several hotels by the Manchester Airport in the past, but will definitely return. |The rooms were clean, unique, and tastefully designed. Everywhere in the hotel was a charming exploration. Wifi was great and the outside trails were a special treat. |I ate at the restaurant and it was one of the best meals I have ever had in England. Absolutely perfect! The service and chef were top class. The dining room had maybe a dozen tables with great wine selection. THE ABSOLUTE PERFECT PLACE FOR A DATE. |Couple of things to note: parking is small, limited and challenging all day - every day. Also, there isn't an elevator, so you might have lug your luggage up several flights of stairs depending on the floor they put you on. These were small inconveniences, but in my case - it contributed to the original charm.

The staff were very welcoming and made us feel comfortable. They were able to assist with all of our requirements and went above and beyond to do so. Our stay was incredible as we were given a complimentary room upgrade on top of it all. A special thank you to Amanda for all her kindness and making us feel comfortable. Beau was very helpful and kind.

I had a stay the the Alexandra Hospital for some back surgery and post and wanted/needed to be local for a few days. I was recommended to the hotel and was absolutely blown away in every respect. The team were helpful, flexible, caring and truly incredible with every detail. They elegantly moved me to a room more suitable at their suggestion, did not drive me mad (other than to drink more water) and went above and beyond what I could have anticipated or expected. I wish I had taken more photos and whilst I didn’t have a massive appetite for the 5 days, the Pizza was amazing and the service as good an anything. I will be back for sure to make use of the restaurant and all of the facilities but want to thank the whole team for being amazing. Thank you!

We stayed here for two nights. The staff gave us a warm welcome on arrival. The interior decor is very interesting and suits the buildings architecture. Our room was warm and cosy. We had a fantastic full English breakfast, which was served to the table hot. You had a choice of how you wanted your egg served. I had scrambled egg. We also had Sunday lunch. I had Lamb, and my wife had roast beef. Again, this was also served to the table nice and hot and cooked to perfection. The parking can be a bit of an issue. There are limited free parking spaces outside the entrance of the hotel. When these are full, you have to park in the public car park approximately 100 metres further up the road. There is a small fee off £3.60 per day paid to the metre near the entrance.

Absolutely fantastic service, could not have been more accommodating when we arrived just for coffee and cake and a quiet place to be after a family bereavement. The staff were very helpful and sympathetic and catered to all our needs. Thank you, it was what was needed at such a sad time for us.

What can I say, the staff here are amazing, warm, friendly, chatty and welcoming. We stayed for one night prior to a flight from Manchester and couldn’t recommend Oddfellows highly enough. Ate in the restaurant where we continued to encounter pleasant friendly staff. Food was very good, we would not consider staying in an on-site generic airport hotel again when this little gem is on the doorstep. Will definitely return when visiting Manchester for shopping trips or airport departures.

Absolutely perfect experience. We stayed for my husband's 50th. The staff were so amazing, delivering a glass of champagne when we arrived in our room. We had a meal in the Galloping Major which was delicious then cocktails in the Stud Bar. Callum was the perfect host in there. Thank you so much for making everything so amazing. Would 100% recommend this hotel.

We had a fantastic Christmas event at this venue. The service, facilities, and food were excellent, and all of our staff had a great time. The rooms were comfortable and tastefully done. ||One thing I would say is that parking is limited and a nearby council car park can be used for a small charge , however the path to the car park is not lit and in the winter not the most pleasant walk. | ||
