Oddfish Restaurant

This is a slightly late post — we visited for a celebration after Christmas Day, just before the end of 2025. My family and I were absolutely delighted with both the food and service at this seafood restaurant. The menu focuses on seafood, and everything was incredibly fresh. Portions were perfect for sharing among 3–4 people, allowing us to try a variety of dishes. We enjoyed a bottle of the house special white wine, which was simply fabulous! Personally, my favorite was the simplest dish — sourdough bread paired with burrata and roasted pistachios. Truly a delight.

Wonderful restaurant with great food. Some solid choices with standards like oysters and prawns, with some good passion items. The Kale was a surprise item that turned out good as well as the crudo with toasted pine nuts. We had a seating inside as I knew it would be cold out, but did note that the heated patio section did look just fine as it’s fully enclosed.

Went for Valentine's Day and got the Grilled Humboldt Squid, Charred Mackerel and the Butterflied Seabream with fries. The Passion Potion drink actually had surprisingly strong passionfruit flavour which was quite nice. The mackerel was salty and paired nicely with the orange ponzu sauce. The grilled squid was probably our favourite dish of the night. The squid was tender and the accompanying salad was a little sour and a little spicy and everything together was a very flavourful bite. The sauce that coated the seabream was very yummy and the fish does come with some bones which we don't mind. Fries are thick; pretty good.

If you love seafood, OODFISH is an absolute must-try! 🐚🍷 From the moment the oysters arrived cold, briny, and fresher than a Pacific breeze I knew I was in for something special. The scallops, the cod, every plate was perfectly done and full of flavour. You can really taste the care in every bite. The highlight surprise? A beautiful glass of wine from Lebanon. Not many people know this, but Lebanon has some of the oldest wine traditions in the world, going back thousands of years. One sip and you’re suddenly tasting history. It’s definitely on the higher end, but the quality and experience truly justify it. If you’re looking for a place that makes you enjoy life one delicious moment at a time, this is it. Great food, great service, and the kind of experience you want to come back for. OODFISH doesn’t just serve seafood — it serves memories. 🌊✨

Our experience at Oddfish Restaurant in Vancouver was nothing short of extraordinary… truly the most unforgettable dinner our family has ever shared. We came in during an incredibly meaningful and emotional time, as we were celebrating precious moments together with my aunt while she is receiving palliative care. From the moment we arrived, the entire team at Oddfish wrapped us in warmth, compassion, and genuine kindness, transforming what could have been a difficult evening into one filled with love, laughter, and beautiful memories we will carry forever. The food was absolutely spectacular…. every dish felt like a masterpiece. The pasta was rich and perfectly balanced, the salmon cooked to perfection, the ceviche bright and fresh, the scallops delicate and unforgettable, and the burrata simply divine. And the desserts… truly the perfect, sweet ending to the most meaningful meal of our lives. Every bite reminded us why dining can be such a powerful shared experience. A heartfelt and special thank you to Ben, whose care and thoughtfulness helped ensure this evening was set up so beautifully for our family. Your kindness meant more than we can express. Kyle, the manager, went above and beyond to make sure every detail felt seamless and welcoming… your leadership and compassion were evident in every moment of our visit. These two gentlemen were truly outstanding and helped create something incredibly special for us. We are also so grateful to Fleur, our wonderful server, who was attentive, warm, and exceptionally knowledgeable. She made us feel completely cared for throughout the evening, striking that rare balance of professionalism and heartfelt kindness that turns great service into something truly memorable. A sincere thank you as well to Ben, Ashley, Max, and the entire Oddfish team and chefs….whose collective effort, generosity, and hospitality created an experience our family will never forget. You didn’t just serve us dinner … you gave us a beautiful memory at a time when that gift means everything. Oddfish will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Such a fantastic dining experience here! Service was fantastic and the heated patio is a great area. Everything we ordered was great — standouts were absolutely the fries (best we have ever had), brussels, and the branzino!

Friend highly recommended this spot and it did not disappoint. The portions and service were great! We ordered the scallops, French fries, clam Spaghetti, kale and ricotta salad and grilled oyster. Delicious! We would come back!

Overall a great dining experience. Service was great. Good was top notch. I will definitely be revisiting this restaurant.
