Odinsborg Café & Restaurang

I had a day trip in Uppsala several months ago and was dining in this restaurant. The staff were very friendly and the food both looked and tasted amazing!!! I’m a person who doesn’t really eat pork often but the pork(bacon?) dish in this restaurant was so fabulous! The fish tasted good too but sadly was not in a big portion. They looked so lovely, didn’t they? 🩷

Great little cafe with seating upstairs and outside. Variety of Swedish cakes and biscuits & teas. Also sandwiches etc and coffee. Reasonable prices. The best part: the old building and its decorations! Things to see in every room.

Beautifully preserved traditional building, the food was great and the staff were friendly, also speak very good English.

I ordered the daily lunch special - French onion soup. It was barely edible: a small bowl, the soup too salty, mainly consisting of big onion chunks and not a lot of bouillon. For that price I would have expected a higher standard of both food and general service.

Good food. Good drink. Beautiful scenery. It was a little confusing at first as American tourists but once we got the ordering and picking up of food figured out (with some help) it was well worth it. Grilled meats were great and those potatoes were super good. And eating outside whole taking in the majesty of the location was peaceful and just plain amazing.

I have come after lunch time (till 3pm in summer) and only got a sandwich, however it was delicious and service was nice.

Great little place for coffee and a snack. They have small sandwiches or sweets.

Wonderful Sunday lunch! Wasn't on the menu but the chef created a vegan plate which was absolutely fabulous. Gourmet presentation and rich flavors.
