My daughter has participated Odyssey Clay Works camps and classes, and she loves every minute. The staff create a supportive, inspiring environment for kids, and she always comes home excited to show off her projects. I also take a beginner’s group class (Shayna is wonderful) and even though it’s outside my comfort zone, the studio feels so welcoming and the staff are always helpful. It’s been such a joy to play with clay and leave my worries at the door. It’s a wonderful community space for both adults and children, and I highly recommend Odyssey to anyone looking to explore clay in a welcoming, creative atmosphere.

Outstanding experience. I booked a 2 hour private lesson with my partner and we were able to produce 7 finished pieces between the two of us! Our instructor, Madison, was great at explaining and demonstrating techniques, and was with us the whole time for when we needed assistance. The space was beautiful with good natural lighting, and we were able to choose out of 4 glaze colors for each of our pieces. Madison will trim the pieces and glaze them, and they will be ready for pick up in around 2 weeks! Would absolutely come back.

Really awesome place! I love the creative range of ceramic artists they have on display in their gallery - seems like there's something for everyone's taste when looking for gifts. I've heard nothing but good things regarding their class offerings as well. Definitely worth checking out if you find yourself in Asheville!

Just took a private lesson with Kelsey and she was a fantastic and uplifting teacher. She really knows how to demonstrate and guide a student to be able to make a centered pot in no time.

My husband and I participated in the couples Valentines Day pottery class and had a blast! It was our first experience throwing pottery. The instructors were friendly, helpful, and fun. They served delicious snacks. The pottery displayed for sale is so creative and beautiful. The whole experience was wonderful. Go check it out!

Fun gallery to visit & purchase gifts. However, be aware of their ALL SALES FINAL policy. This includes exchanges. I had purchased a $75 coffee mug (gift) and decided I would like to have a similar matching one. I was told I could not make the exchange even when I would be spending more. All pieces were from the same artist as well. Only 30 minutes elapsed. Cashier told me to "just buy the extra $75 one." Seriously:/

Just finished a really wonderful class at Odyssey... so wonderful that I've registered for the same class next session. The classes are a very reasonable price considering how much they offer with open studio hours and all of the tools they have available for students to use. AC Bell was also a wonderful teacher to throw with.

This is a great place to take classes or just explore and find great ceramic art. I always make it my first stop when going to Asheville's River Arts District
