Off the touristy track in st Germain the most amazing authentic Tuscan restaurant. Daily menu and absolutely delicious. Been twice and was amazed first time and second didn’t disappoint. The Italian girls working there speaks also perfect English and are super friendly and social

Outstanding authentic Italian food in Paris! Service was so polite and patient with us since we could not read the menu in French. They explained everything and made recommendations. This was the best food we had in Paris!

I am glad I found this authentic Italian restaurant. Loved the fact that they don't have printed menu because they change it everyday. I was surprised to be able to eat late lunch at 17h so they serve food continuously. I was the only client in the restaurant so the service was impeccable. I had butternut squash soup of the day, very simple but tasty. i then had one of their pasta of the day made with brocoli garlic and chilli, they offer 1/2 portion of pasta i think that's very convenient when you order an appetizer to have the choice to follow with a smaller dish. At least I finished everything and didn't waste any food.

One of my favorite places in Paris. They change the menu everyday. Only work with local products. Insane quality at a very good price. Staff is amazing as well. Highly recommend it if you are looking for a nice italian in Paris.

Loved this small Italian restaurant in Paris. It was right by our hotel after a long day of exploring. We came late at night, maybe 9:30pm and were seated immediately. We got some wine, bread, shared a couple pastas and finished with dessert. No complaints and the servers were very kind and polite. Would definitely recommend for some comfort Italian food in a lively local restaurant.

We stumbled onto Oenosteria late on a Sunday night and were SO happy we stopped in here!! Sebastian and Sofia were wonderful hosts to us and the wine and food were GREAT:). We ordered the Mixte plate and bruschetta and two crostone - all very generous portions, and all very delicious! We can’t wait to be back someday soon.

Google
Great meal at this little restaurant Located on a quiet side street off Saint-Germain. Daily specials with delicious appetizers (bruschetta was delicious). Crowd was more local than tourist

Yelp
Happened to stay at a hotel 2 doors down from this restaurant. Interior and menu looked nice. So decided to try for a dinner. They have a printed regular menu and a full of "Today's special" menu, that means they make whatever the best ingredients for the day. Had a wonderful meal. Reservation is must. Would love to visit again when I'm in Paris next time.

Yelp
Now if you're ever randomly walking the alleys of Paris and seeking a place to wine down (pun intended) and munch on small bites then you MUST go here. This was one of my favorite dining experiences because of the intimate setting this restaurant has. They have table top for about 40 max but the best seats in the house if you're no more than a party of three is the bar. You're able to see all the action from the 3-4 staff members, including the husband and wife duo who own the restaurant. The kitchen is very small but damn do they whip out some major flavor. One thing that my cousin and I agreed was the passion and hospitality you feel here. Upon sitting down you're given a complimentary small bite and then eventually given a bowl of bread. I was lucky enough to sit adjacent to the bread cutting station and I didn't even know how much I enjoyed that seat. (Also probably didn't hurt I was able to grab more bread easily. #carbsarelife) Now the prosciutto they have cured here is smack-licking good. I enjoyed the wine and there's a reason why they have a limited menu. I had a wonderful evening and highly recommend you get lost in the city and cap your night here. (Sounds bad but for those travelling from the States, keep in mind that dining experiences are meant to be enjoyed and not a in-n-out experience. Enjoy the company and get lost in the moment. No one is being rude, they just want you to enjoy your dining experience and give you time to savor everything.)

Yelp
Hidden gem. Small, Italian restaurant. Zucchini soup was delicious. Cheese ravioli also very good. Dessert biscotti was amazing. Great vibe

Yelp
I can't recommend this place in any way. The service was the worst I have experienced. At the time we left all the other customers had been served. We only ordered one course (mozzarella and ham and a Carpaccio) and we waited 45 minutes and had to leave because we had an appointment. One star for the Coke and glass of White they could manage to serve.

Yelp
I have finally found a great Italian resto in Paris. Dishes are simple, tasteful and not typical. Menu changes daily which is an additional plus. Perfect place to hang out with family or friends (superb value-for-money) Additionally, the coffee is good (a rare thing in Paris)

Yelp
Amazing. Amazing. We were looking for a break from French food and stumbled upon the yelp reviews. We loved it even more than the 4.5 stars! We had two of the specials. The rice burrata truffle balls and the vegetarian ragu home made pasta! It was amazing. We went early and had no problem getting in. At 7:15. By 845 it was packed! Not many tables.

Yelp
This is one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. It is also on my list of life changing restaurants because I was introduced to burratina mozzarella and it opened my eyes. How could I have never known of its existence before?? Traditional Tuscan supper with the freshest cheese and meat. The tiramisu is also delicious. The place is small so definitely keep this in mind as a place for catching up with a friend (vs. friends), eating a light supper, and starting the night with a bottle of wine. I can't wait to eat here again when I return to Paris.

Yelp
Amazing Amazing Amazing!!! Great Italian vibe including the feisty harmless bickering that they are so famous for...I sat at the kitchen bar and it was a great opera of cooks making everything from fresh cut prosciutto and buratta to salads and one pasta dish of the day. Excellent food and wine. I will be back soon!

Yelp
I found this place on yelp and based my decision off all the reviews. I must say this place is amazing!! I couldn't read the menu, as it was in French, but I was lucky enough to have an English speaking family that just got done eating. The lasagna is a MUST have!! If you like pesto then you have to get the soup!! Enjoy!!

Yelp
What a gem! Going to Oenesteria is literally like flying over to Italy. The servers joke in Italian amongst each other, shout to their friends passing by in the street, pronounce everything with the most endearing accent you've ever heard. All in all this place is great-- there's usually a wait in the evening but they will do their best to get you a place at the bar or squeezed in to a tiny table. At the very least they'll get you a glass of wine while you wait. The food is fresh, fresh, fresh! And straight from Italy! Each time I've been, it's just to have a little charcuterie (the best of the best!) and cheese. I did save some room for the best panna cotta I have had outside of Italy. This is a great place to go on a date, or to grab a late lunch (service is pretty much non-stop), or have a joyous (read: loud) dinner among friends. They also sell cheese, wine and charcuterie to go.

Yelp
One of my favorite Italian wine bars (and apero) The staff is fully Italian (Tuscan) and their advice on wine has always been spot on. A little pricey but quality is worth it

Yelp
This is one of the best places I ate in all of Paris and that's saying a lot since I spent much of my time in extremely nice dining establishments. It's nouveau Italian cuisine--definitely not grandmas home style cooking. The menu is small but every dish is extremely delicious. The menu is created each night based on ingredients available. Out of the 3 times I went they always had a burrata dish with freshly roasted vegetables, a ziti type pasta dish, a tartine (open faced) or focaccia (sandwich style) of sorts, and a fish of the day... It is truly fantastic food.

Yelp
Good food but very bad service...waiter making fun of tourists. Very poor quality service.

Yelp
This restaurant looks so quaint from the outside... But don't come here if your hungry. Very limited menu, 5-6 choices, small portions and big prices. Wine list is great so if you want a bite and a drink, this is your place. Open feel with big windows so whilst small, the big kitchen and back street view make you feel like your outside. Or option B, you can be outside. Small pillows on the stoop out front make for a fun wait (unless you are 7 months pregnant like myself). In that case, the hour wait (no reservations) and sitting/not drinking didn't fair so well for us. All in all, place looks charming, hipster, food was good, but if wine isn't your main objective, Ide keep moving past the pillows outside.

Yelp
We stopped by here for wine and cheese, so glad we did. The white wine was really good and we were given a nice selection of cheese and bread.

Yelp
Italian wine & cheeses in a charming, someone rustic setting, all served with a smile. The hams hanging in back and the pillows outside for smokers remind that this is all real.

Yelp
My wife and I stumbled upon this hidden gem while wandering around Saint Germain around dinner time and we were so glad we were patient enough to find it. Our dining experiences in Paris were almost unanimously fantastic and Oenosteria was no exception. We sat at the bar where we could watch each dish freshly prepared. Though we spoke no French, the staff were patient with us and walked us through the menu. Everything we had, from the burrata to the carpaccio to the biscotti, were excellent. Hopefully others will stumble upon this place and enjoy it as much as we did.

Yelp
This is what great food is... Seriously. OMG please choose this over the American friendly fixed price garbage. Have the burrata and the special is the day and be in Paris! Hams hanging on the back wall and no American menus. Absolutely wonderful. Thank you Antonio for great service.

Yelp
Excellent bruschetta, perhaps best I have had. The establishment is cozy, with shared tables. The crowd is young. And it's a little noisy. But that also makes it lively. The waiter provided excellent service, and recommended an outstanding wine. My pork was excellent. My wife's gnocchi was good, and the sauce was quite tasty. I'd go back again and again, if I lived nearby.

Yelp
I am so crazy about this place that I almost don't want to write this - as we say in Manhattan "never give away the real numbers for your hairdresser or your cleaning woman". AND I would have given it 4 or 5 stars, but it is primarily a wine bar that happens to serve food- primarily meat and cheese and I don't really eat much of either. They seem to have some of the the freshest prosciutto and brasola etc etc that I have seen outside of Italy. The cheeses are stunning and the meats look beautiful. They are all served casually on wooden cutting boards along side fresh Italian (yes, Italian) bread. They have gorgeous bright green salads and some other vegetables - the other day there was sliced asparagus with truffle, but you have to sort of beg to see the chalk board with the specials or have them tell you. It's an interesting place - but I love it. Oh, the wine - the wine... It's a wine place. It's all about wine and atmosphere. The bar is casual, you want to just stand there and hang out and taste wine, the tables are like little random school tables - its bright, its cheery - OK I have said enough, I hope I can still get in.
