How to Plan a Trip Along Amtrak's New Mardi Gras Route to New Orleans | Condé Nast Traveler

"A local favorite I don’t skip, with regional staples like Gulf shrimp, po’ boys, catfish, deviled crab, and homemade hushpuppies that hit the spot steps from the train platform." - Jessica Puckett

The food is really good with great choices of fish my favorite is grouper but tried fried trigger fish and oysters. Can't go wrong with oysters but the trigger fish is my first and really liked it. The crab cake has good flavor cooked golden brown and done aĺ the way. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star review is the occasional crab shell in the cake which isn't surprising.

We weren't sure what we wanted when we started driving around looking for something to eat, but we found it! Off the Hook is by far the best seafood we've had in a long time. We ordered the Crab Cake Voodoo and Blackened Mahi with Orleans sauce. A to-go box was not needed. We cleaned our plates. The food is seasoned perfectly, the portions are shareable (which we did) and the service was 10/10. We will most definitely be back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First time and definitely will be back. Recommended by friends who love this place...and now I know why. Fresh fish cooked with perfect seasoning. A aila le fried grilled or blackened. This restaurant is gluten free. Staff nice, clean dining and quick serve. I will definitely go back soon.

Absolutely love this place! Being a local, I love my seafood. I'm also a fair cook and very rarely eat seafood unless I catch, clean, and cook it myself. This is one of the few places I know I can go to and get consistent quality food and service everytime. Even their green beans are amazing! Everything is good! It's the small details that makes them great!

On our 35th anniversary trip to Florida we decided to see what Pascagoula Mississippi had to offer in the way of lunch options. We found two restaurants side by side on Krebs Ave. While trying to decide which one to try a local man walked by and we kindly asked which was the best. He quickly said Off the Hook Seafood was the freshest seafood in the area! Decision made we went in and greeted right away by the owner. The vibe was definitely was that of a fishing village restaurant and seafood listings and prices colorfully chalked on a very large board. We decided on crab cakes with shrimp creole and creole potatoes for me and trigger fish with fries for my wife. Both were absolutely delicious and filling ! My wife is not a huge seafood fan and was hesitant to try the trigger fish . First bite and she surprisingly loved it! We shared a slice of key lime pie made in house and it was terrific as well ! This is definitely a place to consider for lunch when in the Pascagoula area!

Stopped in for lunch while in the area because of the reviews on Google. Never saw a menu but I knew I wanted fried fish so I got the catfish. Was more catfish nuggets than catfish filets but they were cooked perfectly and not overly breaded. Fries were meh. Tasted like the cheap crinkle fries you get from Walmart but they were cooked well and we're just five with ketchup. Coleslaw was good. Not too creamy and fresh.

The catfish was tender flaky and perfectly fried 💕 The service was welcoming and friendly! The portions were large (I couldn’t finish it all ) …And did I mention AMAZINGLY Delicious 😋

This was my first time eating here. I had the fried shrimp plate and it was good. my sides were potatoes and rice pilaf. I didn't like the rice pilaf. Our waitress was very nice and the food came out fairly quickly. I would eat here again.
