"We start going out with friends toward the end of the week, typically on Thursday or Friday. We like to do drinks at Nancy’s because it’s by the water. Offshore Ale Company is also great. It has craft beer and burgers and lobster rolls."

I got the Portuguese Seafood Stew and was so impressed with the broth flavor and the amount of seafood in it! I normally don’t love muscles and there was none of the dark gamey flavor I usually dislike. The beer and cocktail selection was pretty good as well and the old copper beer tanks inside gave the place a historic feel. I would not recommend the red ale, it was a bit thematic with the red food coloring but everything else was great 😂

We enjoyed our meal at Offshore Ale Co so much we came back for a second visit during our time in Martha’s Vineyard! Jovana was outstanding and made great drink recommendations and provided excellent service. The atmosphere was inviting and felt like visiting a local spot.

Google
You get the classic tavern experience with great service and amazing food. Out server was so sweet and accommodating. She checked on us often. The food was delicious and they offer awesome off-season discounts. We got the Tavern Burger and the BBQ Chicken pizza and both items were delicious, especially the pizza. The beer was also very good and I enjoyed every single one on my flight. My husband got the Imperial stout and it was also amazing! Can't go wrong here.

The food was fresh & delicious! Best fish & chips ever! Great gluten free pizza as well. Our waitress was wonderful.

Our party of five shared a few dishes tonight and were very pleased. We were seated outside on the patio. It was a bit narrow but the tables were decently spaced. Our waitress was very friendly and the food came in a timely manner. We ordered a Hawaiian pizza and a cheese, a Greek salad, Bavarian pretzel and the grilled Brie (which gets five stars!) The pizza had a very thin crust but held up and didn’t fold when picked up. The cheese/sauce/crust ratio was perfect with a very flavorful cheese blend (definite Parmesan tones). The Hawaiian had a nice sweet/smoky taste. The pretzel was what you would expect -maybe a bit small to share for more than 2-3 people. The Greek salad was very good and not overly dressed. The grilled Brie was the star -covered in pesto with tons of buttery roasted garlic cloves to eat on the soft baguette. Overall a solid choice. It has an older establishment feel the nostalgic decor was pub-typical. Everyone said they would return.

Google
This place was great for the whole family! The cauliflower gluten free pesto pizza was probably the best ever GF. The regular wood oven pizza was excellent, and the lobster roll was thumbs up too. All is a little pricey but you're on Martha's Vineyard.

Google
Great place right off the water. Gluten free pizza was awesome! We had to ask our server if it was gluten free because it didn’t look like it when it first came out. Definitely will be back when we visit Martha’s Vineyard again!

Google
We ordered a mushroom and sausage pizza and it was spot on. The food, the service and atmosphere was great. We will definitely visit them again on our trip next year. The pizza was so good we forgot to take a picture.

Yelp
Chowder was amazing! Lobster roll had plenty of meat! We substituted the fries out for the salad and it was plentiful with a light vinaigrette dressing. Burger was amazing. Definitely greasy and artery-clogging, oh so good. The fries taste a bit like Five Guys fries, which I love. All in all, solid meal.

Yelp
I didn't eat anything too amazing today, but the burger was pretty good, and others in our group enjoyed their meals. It's a nice restaurant to hang out in. They brew their own beers here, so the selection is limited--make sure to check out your options beforehand. Service was fine and quick.

Yelp
Corner restaurant with a nautical theme. Very homey with a really nice fireplace. Greeted at the door and taken to a nice table by the fire. They have a really nice bar. Ordered their homemade clam chowder. Really fresh and creamy. Good taste nicely spiced. Also ordered a Brick oven Margherita pizza. Watched it being made and it came out hot and fresh. The waiters were nice took our order quickly and delivered drinks and food fast. Nice tribute to firefighters with patches on the wall.

Yelp
True type of pub/tavern feel on the island. Super nice patio to sit on and grab drinks and food. Large variety of drinks to choose from. Overall good experience and good for catching up with friends or a family dinner.

Yelp
This place was awesome! We sat outside and shared a few items and got a flight of beer. Our server was attentive and excellent. Local Martha's Vineyard Oysters - 10/10 Brie with pesto and roasted Garlic: 10/10 Potato Pizza - 10/10. I wasn't sure about this but had never seen this in a menu before so I had to try it. So good! One slice is all you need.

Yelp
I don't know why everyone isn't raving about this place. One of the best pizzas I've ever had. Sure, you don't think of pizza when you think MV, but the BBQ chicken pizza we had here was amazing. I usually think chicken on pizza is dry and rubbery, but this chicken was perfectly moist. The toppings were yummy, and the sauce was very flavorful. The crust had a nice crunch. The beer selection is good. Plus, there's a full bar and wine options. Something for everyone. Our service was friendly and attentive even on a busy night. The checkin process was easy. They take your name and number, then text you a link to track your progress on the waitlist. They had live music on the Thursday night at 7 when we were there. It was fun music - loud, but not unbearable. A few people were dancing even though the place is small. Highly recommend. Expect a wait if you go at prime time.

Yelp
While waiting for our lunch reservations we decided to kill some time here and I'm glad we did! Everyone at the bar was awesome - bartender was great too. I had their blueberry ale and it was so good!! Great flavor and crushable; perfect for a nice summer day. We also ordered the pretzel and the beer cheese was some of the best I've ever had! I wish we could have spent more time here but I really enjoyed the time we did.

Yelp
Most importantly, the food is awesome. I have tried almost everything on the menu and I've enjoyed all of it. The beer is also excellent and I have tried just about all of that. I like the stout when available the service is outstanding. The owners truly care about this ale house and it shows through to the staff who are all rockstars. They are friendly and efficient, even when it gets very busy and hectic. They go above and beyond the call of duty and are very willing to answer any questions you may have. The ambience is very comfortable and very fitting for Vineyard. The location is always spotlessly cleans

Yelp
If you are in need of some relief from the heat, pop inside to the nicely air conditioned seating inside the ale co. They also provide a good-sized patio. This is a great spot to relax and have a pint or flight (in picture). Our server was great. He had a great sense of humor and cracked a few jokes with us. While we were there, my husband tried the clam chowder and absolutely loved it. It was so nice to get off our feet for a little bit from walking around the town and getting some relaxation while enjoying a good beer.

Yelp
Super busy place, but was able to nab a little corner spot at the bar. They had some tasty beers! We also got a veggie quesadilla. My sister and I split it. It was plenty for both of us. It was loud, but had a good vibe. It was within walking distance from where we were staying, which was very convenient.

Yelp
Took a nice bike ride to Oak Bluffs & found this fantastic lunch place. Great menu selections & reasonable prices. Husband loved the ale he got. Shared a baby lettuce salad with shallot vinegarette dressing & knife/fork fried chicken sandwich. Still salivating over how good they both were. The home made salad dressing had all the perfect flavors for the salad that had sliced apples, candied walnuts & mild blue cheese. The chicken had a great coating & tasty spicy/ sweet sauce. Great picks!! I will def want to go back!

Yelp
We were seated quickly on a busy Friday night! Our server was lovely and so efficient! The CB potato pizza was so unique with mashed red potatoes, cheddar, bacon and scallions! My daughter loved her chowder and my husband's burger was cooked perfectly! They were out of a few beers but we enjoyed the house IPA!

Yelp
The Tuna bowl was phenomenal. It was also extremely big, could have been shared. The rice cake, avocado and pineapple went well with the tuna and sauce. As for the beers, nothing too exciting or different on the menu but it was nice to go to a local brewery.

Yelp
Everything was delicious. We were there early in November, so it was the off season yet this place was still packed. While I wasn't a fan of their Pumpkin Beer, I was a fan of all the food I tried. The Brie appetizer was delicious as was my Tuna Poke Bowl. The 3 other adults I was with all loved their meals too. Definitely stop here!
google avatar

Blake D.

Yelp
Only drank here so can't speak to the food. We sat outside with our dog and the service was great! They brought out a water bowl for the dog and even gave him a treat! Really kind folks. Got a beer flight that was pretty good. Liked some more than others, but like that they brew on the island. Saw food at other tables and it smelled/looked good. Nice outdoor seating right in the heart of everything.

Yelp
Great food, great craft beer and great service, what more can you ask for? Located in oak bluffs walking distance to the ferry

Yelp
My friends and I stopped by here twice on our day trip to MV. Milica was our server and she was wonderful. Very attentive and checked on us from time to time. The food was delicious! Drinks were good as well. I had the bbq wings. They were crispy yet bbq-y. My husband loved his Cuban sandwich and fries. My friends had the burger and lobster roll and loved them. I had ordered the spicy margarita, my husband had the island punch, my friend had one of the ales, and a lemonade. I swapped with my husband and Milica noticed! She asked if I didn't like that drink. I didn't mind it but my husband and I liked each other's drink more so we swapped. Overall, a great experience. We came back later in the day for more drinks before the ferry. I got the paloma. It was good but not super strong. Would 100% come back in the future.

Yelp
My sister, who lives in Edgartown, brought me to Offshore Ale and all the raving before we got there was no exaggeration. We came in on a Thursday at 4:30 and we were seated right away in a corner that was quiet enough to talk but still enjoy people watching and eavesdropping. It's clear that this is a place that locals like to visit so it had a great feel to it. We got the mussels as an appetizer and they were fabulous, with just the right amount of seasoning. The bread that came along with it was amazing and if I hadn't been with my fit-conscious sister, I would have put a loaf in my purse and asked for another. I finally decided on the chicken with Brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. The chicken had a nice flavor to start but the underside was slightly overcooked, making it tough. I would have trimmed down the Brussel sprouts (maybe eliminating the stem) because they were also tough. Everyone does good mashed potatoes in my book so YAY on them! Now I am a HUGE fan of butter, but I think I would have been happy with half of what was drizzled over my dinner. IMO, I think it would have been too much for anyone. This establishment clearly has a following and other great food, so maybe it was just a fluke. My sister got the Portuguese Fisherman's Stew and I could tell that she loved it but I think the photo says it all. It is a beautiful dish that is flavorful with just the right (?), that is just as good the next day. I would suggest though that to-go liquid leftovers be packaged/wrapped better. Ours was sent home in a foil container that leaked into the paper bag which ripped open, spilling much of the leftover broth and some of the mussels all along her garden path which was dark and mosquitoey. I also got stung by a bee while waiting for her to clean up the mess. All of this completely evened out the next evening when we heated up the order of ***Fish and Chips*** we ordered to-go for the sole purpose of eating it at home Friday night...my last night on this beautiful island. The fish and chips were exactly what I was hoping for in that type of dish. The batter was golden and crispy and the fish inside was light and fluffy. Other than shellfish, I'm not a huge other fish fan but I had a feeling this was going to be good and I was not disappointed. It was the best last-night dinner ever.

Yelp
Offshore Ale Co. Is a brewery and a restaurant combo with a wide variety of food on their menu. I was there with a party of 7 and we were seated pretty quick. Our server was friendly and helpful with answering questions about the drinks and menu. I had a lobster roll with a side of fries, Other meals for our table were 2 different pizzas, quesadilla, salad, and chicken tenders with fries. Overall, the food and drinks were good and the service was quick. The atmosphere was nice. I will definitely come back again the next time I'm on the island.

Yelp
Great place went there a few days ago and got a margarita pizza and a side of fries. The servers are very nice and they're extremely quick. The restaurant itself is pretty nice and overall a fun place to visit.

Sabrina S.

Yelp
Food was alright but honestly really overpriced. The aesthetic is really rustic and bar like so it's surprising that it's priced like this. It was down-pouring so me and my boyfriend thought it would be a good idea to take dinner slow considering it was also still really early and there were other tables open, but we felt really rushed the whole time. We're not the type to take awhile but the rain wasn't supposed to stop for a bit. Overall good, but expensive.
google avatar

Justin L.

Yelp
Walked in on a Monday night and it was still decently crowded. Ordered the Steamed Pei Mussels as an appetizer and the Fish and Chips and Portuguese Fisherman's Stew as entrees. Both of the mussels were alright and although the mussels were in different broths they tasted similar so I would recommend just getting the appetizer mussels and trying a different entree. The Fish and chips were really good though! They were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The breading enhanced the flavor of the fish and did not overpower the flavor of the actual fish. Didn't try any of their beers but they sounded good! Was looking forward to trying their pizza but was just unlucky timing as their pizza oven was being serviced. The staff made sure to let us know though which was very nice of them!

Yelp
We visited just before taking the last ferry back to the mainland to conclude our few day MV getaway. There was legit one high top available at the time of our arrival but we were asked to step to the side for a few minutes while it was prepared. It was right next to the host station, the open entrance door, and what seemed to be a main corridor between different parts of the restaurant. It wasn't the most ideal location but we were grateful to not have to wait long. Because we needed to drive home, we had to be conservative with our beer drinking. GF and I both sampled one of Offshore's brews which were enjoyable. We went hard with the appetizers and ordered the grilled brie and buffalo cauliflower. To top everything off, we settled on the roma pizza. The cauliflower was so good. I adored the breading which was so crisp. There wasn't much buffalo to the flavor of the actual cauliflower but they provided hot sauce and bleu cheese dressing in which to dip. I used a sequential dip strategy and enjoyed it tremendously. The grilled brie was a bit disappointing but A for offering something unique. It wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked but I appreciated the roasted garlic cloves that I absolutely ate smeared onto the cheese and bread. This was actually better when we ate it at home later as leftovers. I only got down a slice of the cheese pizza because I was full by the time it arrived. It was just ok, nothing to write home about. Our waiter was friendly but left us hanging a bit at the end. Someone else who was either the owner or the manager noticed how cold I was and offered to the close the entrance door which was such a nice gesture and much appreciated. I think some of their food is hit or miss but I would definitely stop in again to sample more of the beers and try some more of their food.

Yelp
Ambiance 10/10 service 10/10 drinks 10/10. It's a tad bit cold in there so bring a jacket.

Thomas J.

Yelp
Beer and oysters were outstanding. Staff was friendly and answered all our questions. Decide was good. Tables a bit tight but not a an issue navigating.

Scarlett O.

Yelp
Dropped in for lunch here during a bike ride and it was the perfect pit stop. Close to the carousel and several shops and waterfront. We came because my husband called ahead and asked if they indeed do a gluten free lobster roll and they do! And it's actually fabulous. The bun wasn't gross or crumbly. I had the cold version which is more mayo based, and my husband enjoyed the regular hot sub buttery version. We both loved it. Kid-friendly place as well with a nice street cafe setting. My husband wanted another Pilsner but we had to go... I will dream about that lobster roll.
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
Every year, this is our first stop right off the ferry and it is usually one of our favorite stops. However something has changed, the lobster on the lobster roll doesn't taste as fresh and had a tough texture. The cold lobster roll also had the onions, which was a strange new addition. Service and Ambiance remain excellent.

Yelp
This place came highly recommended as the best fish and chips on the island. Roaring fireplace, FIFA game playing, it's certainly a bar vibe. Ordered: Veggie Quesadilla: huge portion, ooey gooey cheese with plenty of spinach/mushrooms/red bell pepper/sour cream/salsa/fresh guac, tasted fresh and seasoned well Fish and Chips: took a good while (shared and completely finished the quesadilla with husband) to arrive at the table but was indeed the best fired fish I've had thus far, super flakey white fish with a crumb fry that was light and not greasy, especially superb Came back for their: Duck Pizza: only served after 4 PM and I was so intrigued I came back to eat this, the crispy crust is super thin, foldable, easy to eat, love to garlic and leek flavor, the pork product they use over powers the duck but still not a bad pizza Pumpkin Ale: served with a cinnamon sugar rim, cute, sweet, festive Their head cook was really in charge of this kitchen and by the looks of it, managed to bust out really good looking for for a full crowd of patrons. The waitstaff is so nice and accomadating, they really worked hard to see to it that I would get the duck pizza and be out at requested time to catch my bus. Consistent/Quality/Friendly/Fun. Would reccomend!

Yelp
Went here, 6 of us on a Wednesday sep 3 to have a couple of drinks. We asked if we could sit at an outdoor table, there were 3 open tables outside. We were told "no" they had to keep them open for people who want to eat. It's 7 pm on a Wednesday and the street was fairly dead. The girl tells us we can sit at different areas, 3 at the bar and 3 somewhere else. We left and went to another place on circuit Ave to drink. What a dumb decision on their part. They clearly did not want any more customers. We are a bunch of people in our 50's and 60's.
google avatar

Sharrun N.

Yelp
We enjoyed a chicken pesto pizza outside on a beautiful October evening. It was more than enough for the two of us. They had pumpkin ale with a cinnamon sugar rim for the season. We finished with a lemon raspberry cheesecake that actually included a layer of cake. Very good meal and excellent service. They add on a small percent to the bill to support the kitchen staff through the off season which I thought was a thoughtful idea.
google avatar

Emily M.

Yelp
Food was so good we came twice during our four-day vacation. I had the Power Bowl and loved it (very fresh and healthy). Our table also shared the Grilled Brie. So delicious that I'm trying to figure out how to recreate it at home.

Brian H.

Yelp
Always great atmosphere, dog friendly on the patio & well what can you say about Neil's beer! A long time go to!
google avatar

Luayy A.

Yelp
so you're on the island looking for a hamburger and one thing comes to mind someone tells you to go to a restaurant and record recommend it for the food. I can say this was all of this world. So the service was fantastic. I enjoyed my server. She was really nice helpful. I knew what I wanted. So if you're looking for ambience, kind of a bit of a off the beaten path well this is a great place for that it is open near around, so no worries about getting food in being shut out in the cold So I think Martha's Vineyard of a beautiful place to explore and shops and dine. Oh yeah, take the bus please reduces pollution on the island plus you also helping everybody I would say offer it will be a great place to explore, and they have pizzas and everything in between.
google avatar

J F.

Yelp
Food is 10/10. Service is amazing Fish and Chips recommended and the ambiance is good
google avatar

Morgan K.

Yelp
Wow, great spot for some nice pub fare. Fiancé said this is the best burger on the island. It was big, juicy, and delicious. The seafood pasta also tasted very fresh, both the seafood and the sauce which seemed homemade. The beers are brewed onsite and we loved the selection. The restaurant does get very busy, and if you want pizza during a rush it's a 45-minute wait. Regardless, the staff was great and we loved the atmosphere. Would recommend!
google avatar

Alan J.

Yelp
First time here! Great brews, and atomsphere! Will be back again. We ordered: -beers -buffalo cauliflower -calimari app -spicy chicken sandwich
google avatar

Andrew N.

Yelp
We stopped by here on our trip to Martha's Vineyard for lunch. While the service was great and the food was delicious, I was surprised to find out that the side salad substitution I received with my lobster roll was more like a "side of raw vegetables" and was charged extra for salad dressing. We also ordered some fish and chips and had to pay extra for the tartar sauce too which should also come with the meal, especially for a somewhat pricier meal already. I'd recommend stopping by this place for the food/service, but you might consider grabbing a bottle of Ken's Italian Dressing at the nearby convenience store if you don't want to pay extra for something that should be already be a default.

Yelp
Fantastic burger with brioche bun! Loads of truffle fries. Roma pizza was very good (more than a little burnt on the crust hence the 4 stars) but all in all, great food for the $$ My friend ordered an Irish coffee which was just coffee in a mug with a shot of Irish whiskey on the side. Very underdressed. So she ordered some cream. They brought Bailey's in stead. Not sure what happened there. But $8 for that shot, and $16 for the drink = $23 for the drink. Just watch your liquor tab. Enjoy the food!

Yelper A.

Yelp
I'll start with food was good. Ordered take out. They said it would be 45 minutes. Took a little over an hour which is ridiculous for take out. Food is good but not worth the 60+ minutes wait
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
I was on the island for the first time in my life a few weekends ago, and found myself here all 3 days. I had the clam chowder twice because once is never enough, I highly recommend! I also had the fish and chips twice because they were just that good. Super crispy not greasy and the fish was so fresh and most importantly, the tartar sauce was on point (no sweet pickles thankfully!). One night I had the fried chicken, and it was so unique, I clearly didn't pay attention to the description on the menu and that is OK. I loved it! Two chicken breasts that were fried rather than some other chicken part with the bone still involved. One night I tried the carrot cake and it was delicious. And I am extremely picky about my carrot cake. When I come back to the island in April, I will be returning for certain.
google avatar

Myra T.

Yelp
Fun place and the truffle fries are the bomb! Love having them with the oysters. Beef is yummy! Can't go wrong with it.
google avatar

David P.

Yelp
Extremely average. Definitely seems to cater more to people visiting Martha's Vineyard for the day and looking for a "local" Chili's or Applebee's. Service was quite good, but whatever you order will just be so-so.

Amanda K.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Chicken wings, fish and chips, oysters, and bbq chicken pizza were all excellent!
google avatar

Dil S.

Yelp
Enjoyed dinner here - blackened salmon bowl and fried chicken were great. Big portions for the price tag unlike other spots nearby. Beers were decent, a few cool unique ones. Was packed even in the off-season as it seems like the local watering hole.
google avatar

Ginger A.

Yelp
Visited in September and they were busy. We had about a 30 minute wait but we enjoyed sitting outside to wait. The hostess was charming and friendly when we put our name on the list and when she seated us. It seemed as though there were many locals visiting which I think speaks well of the restaurant. Neither of us tried the beer but the selection looked great. I don't drink it and my boyfriend needs gluten free beer. The menu had a good variety. We shared an excellent gf pizza. It arrived quickly and hot. The service, food quality and atmosphere were all fantastic.
google avatar

Yelp
Ducked into this place for lunch during a rainstorm on the Vineyard. Great atmosphere and good beers. I had a salmon BLT that was excellent and everyone in our group enjoyed their food. We had multiple people servicing our table of 8. Good location in Oak Bluffs.
