Ofvandahls Hovkonditori

Ofvandahls Hovkonditori is an absolute gem in Uppsala. It’s a charming, historic café with a cozy atmosphere and incredibly kind staff. I discovered it thanks to a friend, and I’m so glad I did. The pastries and cakes are delicious, and they also make seasonal treats for Easter, Christmas, and other special occasions. It feels like a true Swedish experience, both in the flavors and the ambiance. If you’re looking for something local and authentic, this is definitely the place to go.

• The interior decoration of the late 19th century is maintained: crystal lamps, wooden window frames and thick curtains, it feels like traveling through time as soon as you walk in. • The space is divided into several small rooms and corners, allowing you to sit quietly for an afternoon to read or write postcards. • You can see many details related to literature and student manuscripts hidden on the walls and display cabinets

One of my favourite dog-friendly cafes in town! Sunday mornings here are a little slice of happiness. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with plenty of space for both humans and their furry companions

Some of the best cakes I ever tried. Not too sugary, also had sugar free options. Exceptional service, lovely vintage atmosphere. Will definitely return.

It was extremely crowded when we visited, but nice desserts and drinks! I didn’t know there was a student discount so I wish I knew beforehand, but it was still a nice place 👍

The perfect place for fika in Uppsala. This is a great cafe with a long history. The atmosphere is cosy and relaxing, while the desserts are ranked among the best in Sweden. We should also mention the friendly and professional service. Everything was exceptional.

Today's experience of visiting this cafe was very pleasant. I was lucky to get there at the hour when there were the fewest visitors. I had an opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere of the old cafe and taste the melt-in-your-mouth mini semla and delicious cappuccino.

Nowhere near as bad as the other reviews imply, but not great either. Rather overpriced for average baked goods with perfectly decent flavor. Most buns and pastries were just too puffy and perhaps a bit stale, but tasted ok. They have loose-leaf tea, which is a nice plus. Prices are steep, yeah, but I think you're paying for the location.

This place charges random prices. I have been there four times and asked for the same thing each time. The prices have varied by as much as 100%. I complained about it today and the guy just blew me off. Go if you want, but keep in mind that you might be getting screwed by an unscrupulous operator.

Really dirty and run down place. Forks are not properly washed; so you can taste the previous guy's food. They never clean the seats or the floor. Avoid!
