Ogura Segashira

Awesome chicken namba. You only need to focus on the chicken dish here. Beef not worth your space in stomach. The chicken flavour hits my memory and I was reminded how tasty KFC was when I was young and first tasted it. So this namba chicken must try when you are looking for lunch around. The salad dressing is also damn good. Service by the gentlemen who seems to be the lead is awesome. Courtesy and mannerism leads the way on this restaurant that has the 90s vibes. Good place to be.

The food is great and they very kind to help you. Chicken Nanban was really juicy and well seasoned. No credit cards accepted, only cash.

I think this is a local family restaurant and the main branch of this chain. The food has a home cooked feel. Of course it was delicious but not at a shocking level. Although the price was cheap. The restaurant is huge! So if you have plenty of members, i recommend this place.

We arrived at 10.45am. There was already a few people in the queue. So you need to write your name and number of diners first on the sheet and you will be called in. Menu was all in Japanese. So having a google translate will be handy. We ordered the chicken cutlet set and onigiri. All was good.

We asked our local friends for a place to eat chicken nanban in the city, and they recommended this restaurant. The chicken chunks were huge and dressed in a great tartar sauce and light vinegar. Delicious meal.

The Mog Champ sends his regards. I came here with the same idea as most visitors. For the chicken nanban which is a Miyazaki speciality! This traditional restaurant delivered my every expectation. I ordered their signature chicken nanban of course and it came out quite fast! The service was friendly and the inside was clean and spacious, it may have looked like any other family restaurant but this one felt a bit more cozy than others! Came here as I was told this is the original spot for Nanban chicken. The atmosphere is old school like time stood still which is cool and they seem to draw a steady group of loyal customers. The portions are huge with big servings of rice and spaghetti. However I was a bit disappointed with the chicken as it was not crispy. Hence did not meet my expectation of the Nanban chicken.

I'm usually pretty skeptical about big tourist-y looking restaurants cause I've been let down too many times when it comes to the quality of food, but this place is the real deal. Old diner sort of vibes, with that mix of Japanese and western styles that feels so very... Japanese. lol But the chicken nanban is so much better than what I was expecting. The chicken is extremely tender and well seasoned, and somehow doesn't taste or feel super greasy like a lot of fried chicken does. It also comes with a massive heap of sauce on top... and as heavy as it was... man it was so good. I'm not much of a mayonnaise guy, but this stuff with the chicken is seriously good. This is a heavy meal. But it is so worth. Definitely a spot to hit when in Miyazaki.

Ohh I love this Miyazaki traditional restaurant!! Porting size is great for the price. If you wanna try home style food, you should come here definitely! This restaurant has a huge aquarium by restrooms and the entire the restaurant interior is unique like fairy fail. I like Chicken Nanban, Tempura teishoku, champon and cream soda!! Mmmm!!!
