Oh! Calcutta A true legend when it comes to refined Bengali dining. It’s one of those rare places that manages to make traditional "Ghoti" and "Bangal" recipes feel like a five-star experience without losing the soul of the dish. I recently opted for delivery via Zomato, and I was delighted to find that the food travels exceptionally well. The flavors remained intact, and the meal was just as enjoyable at home.But If you have the time, choose the physical dine-in experience. There is a unique joy in having those 'warm, wonderful preparations' served directly to your table. The immediate aroma of the mustard and the steam rising from the rice create a sensory experience that delivery simply cannot replicate. To truly appreciate the craft behind their food, sit down and enjoy the hospitality.

Simply top notch traditional Bengali cuisine, peppered with amazing staff and service, and beautiful ambiance!! I have been to both their branches in Elgin Road and on EM Bypass. And also the one in GK2 in South Delhi. Just amazing all of them !! This time we had rice pulao, Kosha mangsho (mutton), ilish macher jhol (Hilsa curry with Eggplant), Jhuri bhaja, Begun bhaja and Bhetki Macher Paturi (steamed Bhetki fish in banana leaf). Bhetki fish and Kosha mangsho are their signature dishes , and cannot be compared with anywhere else. We had a cocktail which was okay. We finished off with the desert platter - bhapa sondesh, malpua and chena poda. Bhapa sondesh was darn good, malpua with cream was refreshing as well. We also packed couple of vegetarian dishes on our way back home - aalu jhinge posto (just like home made) and chana kofta (bit spicy but yummy) Really loved their gesture of offering an orange juice to our 4 yr old kid, and a balloon as well. Made his day !!! Highly recommended place !!

This place is located in a mall and it’s a popular place here. The place is maintained well and interior is good. The place is cozy one where you can see a small gatherings like anniversary, birthday parties etc. They are serving several Bengali cuisines and services are good. It’s located on the Forum mall so it’s not difficult to find parking. Overall it’s a good place to visit for having Bengali food.

Great Bengali cuisine. Great service as well. Just keep in mind there are aggressive chuggers in this mall on your way up to the restaurant. I got the Hilsa fish and it was excellent with a mustard curry. Also the fermented yogurt sweet was my favorite.

The service is prompt and the staff are very polite and professional. The prices are reasonable. Overall, this is a must-visit place if you are a lover of Bengali cuisine.❤️ Oh Calcutta! is a great place to enjoy dinner at. Serving a variety of dishes from Bengal, there are spicy and non spicy options as well as meat and veg options. The staff are able to speak English so it removed difficulty in communicating with them. The service here is amazing too. We ordered the Mutton Biriyani and the Tree Trunk Chicken amongst other things and were not disappointed at all🇮‌🇮‌❤️

In my opinion this is the best place for authentic Bengali cuisine in Kolkata. Yesterday visited with family almost after a year, ordered our favorite mothar chop and prawn cutlet for started and we decided to go with mutton kassa and porota this time. But unfortunately first time I have seen they have served cold mutton kassa. Once complaint they arranged to make it hot but I really felt bad for this, requesting management to be careful so that this type of incident should not happen in future it is not good for their reputation. Even I thought their manager will meet us to say sorry but simply they had taken mutton back and bring it back after making hot in microwave. Rest their nolen gur ice cream is always excellent. Ambience is really nice.

Was google-recommended as the best place to try authentic Thali in Kolkata. But this restaurant is on the expensive side. One could get authentic thalis in local restaurants, in much cheaper rates. The place is very well maintained and looks exquisite. We tried one veg and one non veg thali. (We visited in November 2024)
