In my opinion this is the best place for authentic Bengali cuisine in Kolkata. Yesterday visited with family almost after a year, ordered our favorite mothar chop and prawn cutlet for started and we decided to go with mutton kassa and porota this time. But unfortunately first time I have seen they have served cold mutton kassa. Once complaint they arranged to make it hot but I really felt bad for this, requesting management to be careful so that this type of incident should not happen in future it is not good for their reputation. Even I thought their manager will meet us to say sorry but simply they had taken mutton back and bring it back after making hot in microwave. Rest their nolen gur ice cream is always excellent. Ambience is really nice.

Kakra chingri bhapa (I.e, crab prawn steam) was out of this world. Also had some really fresh bhetki Aam ada roast. The banana flower chops were ok. Their Nolan gur ice cream is worth visiting them from any part of the world!! It is that good!

Was google-recommended as the best place to try authentic Thali in Kolkata. But this restaurant is on the expensive side. One could get authentic thalis in local restaurants, in much cheaper rates. The place is very well maintained and looks exquisite. We tried one veg and one non veg thali. (We visited in November 2024)

I visited Oh Calcutta to experience their Mahalaya special lunch buffet. The overall experience was great, and I would like to highlight some aspects that I appreciated and some that I found lacking. What I appreciated: 1. There was a wide assortment of dishes, and the taste and quality of the food were really amazing. It is not like those chain buffet restaurants where the food is average at best. 2. The service was prompt. Although I dined alone, I never felt neglected. By the time I returned with my next plate of food, my previous plate had been removed, and the table was cleaned. What I found lacking: 1. It took time to set up the buffet, even after the restaurant had opened for business. I had to wait approximately 20 to 25 minutes after being seated. 2. The taste of two specific items, namely methi aloo dum and chicken curry, did not meet my expectations; however, this may be a matter of personal preference. 3. The price was ₹1465, inclusive of GST, which I consider to be somewhat on the expensive side.

Oh! Calcutta’s weekend buffet is a feast of Bengal on one plate – rich flavors, endless variety, and soulful desserts.

Excellent Bengali cuisine is available here. There are many options to choose from. The food is delicious and the ambience is equally pleasing. The service is prompt and the staff are very polite and professional. The prices are reasonable. Overall, this is a must-visit place if you are a lover of Bengali cuisine.

We celebrated my father's 75th birthday here. It was an absolute right decision to choose the best for the occasion. Right from the reception till the end, we enjoyed thoroughly. Thank you to the team whom we met. The food, we took thalis as it was a weekday along with it some mocktails. On-point cooking fitted best for us (we were 8 people out of which 6 were aged ones). Each and every item on the palate tastes divine. Thank you again.
