Oh la la! Hotel - Paris Bastille (Paris, Île-de-France) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Romance depends on a little bit of mystery, and at Oh la la! Hotel it starts when you arrive. Rather than stroll into a street-level lobby, you’ll walk through a cocktail bar on Place de la Bastille and push against a bookcase that opens a secret door. From there, it’s up a spiral staircase — there’s no elevator — to the upper levels of this one-time apartment building, now shaped into bright rooms overlooking the square. It’s practically the definition of bohemian-chic, which is just what you’d want from a budget-friendly boutique hotel in a lively section of Paris." - Tablet Hotels

The 8 Best Hotels in Paris (Updated 2025)

"I love the location—it's literally right across from the Bastille—and I think this three-star boutique is one of the best value places in the area. The sleek, modern-minimalist rooms are not super large but are very well designed and efficiently use space; they have excellent soundproofing, lots of natural light from large windows, flatscreen TVs, AC, a kettle, and free Wi‑Fi. The bathrooms are small but have great water pressure. There's a bar on the ground floor perfect for unwinding and a delicious, varied breakfast spread (fresh bread and croissants, pancakes, eggs, and cheese)." - Matthew Kepnes

I found this hotel while searching for last-minute reservations on the Michelin Guide recommendations. The accommodations were wonderful. The room was exactly as described. We had requested two twin beds, and this was accommodated without issue. The room was clean, and quite large, even for two adults. We had an interior room, no noise concerns at all. The staff went out of their way in welcoming us to the hotel. We speak minimal French and they welcomed us so kindly. They offered to carry our heavy luggages to our room and even remembered our drink order in the morning. The breakfast in the morning was excellent, complete with espressos made to order and a great selection of pastries, meats, cheeses, eggs, etc. The location was fantastic, steps away from the train, which can easily take you to the popular tourist destinations, as well as a 10-minute walk to Le Marais. As the website notes, there is no elevator, and, as depicted in the photographs of the room, the mattresses are placed on slats on the floor, which may be challenging for individuals with limited mobility. Aside from travelers with limited accessibility, I would recommend this hotel without a doubt. As a Hilton Diamond member, it takes quite a bit to pull me away from the points/perks of the Hilton chain, but anytime I come to Paris, I will choose to stay at this hotel.

The hotel was just perfect for our girls trip to Paris. The hotel is spotless , attention to detail on their rooms , fresh fluffy laundered towels and crisp white bedding - room attended to daily. The staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. Genuine people who could not do enough to help you from helping with cases, directions and little extras that really made your holiday. We felt really looked after , a fantastic service. Nothing was a problem . The area is a lovely spot full of great bars and restaurants. Thank you so much and I would definitely recommend and return to.

This precious hotel is in a fantastic location and located just steps away from a metro stop. The staff went out of their way to leave a sweet birthday wish for my daughter whose birthday was the day of our arrival. As stated many places, there is no elevator. We stayed on the 4th floor. Normally a climb up 4 flights would be no problem, but it isnt quite as easy after walking almost 30,000 steps during the day like we did :-) We hope to return someday. In that case, we would reserve early and request a first floor room.

Hôtel was great, clean, modern and perfect size for us. Staff were lovely, super helpful and great to chat with. Location was surrounded by nice restaurants, bars and had a great atmosphere with a metro station just opposite which made it easy to travel all over Paris!

I recently spent a lovely long weekend at Oh La La Hotel in the Bastille area of Paris with my Auntie and younger cousin. We stayed for 3 nights, and it was the perfect spot for our girls' trip. The staff here were great, from the moment we checked in, they went out of their way to make sure we felt welcome. Not only were they incredibly friendly and attentive, but they were also a huge help when it came to getting around Paris. We had lots of questions about the best places to visit and how to get there, and the staff were always ready to help, with recommendations and clear directions. They helped us map out our day trips with the correct metro and train routes, suggested local places to eat, and made sure we knew exactly how to get to around, even helping at the end of our trip when they spoke on the phone to our lost Uber driver. It really made our time in Paris so much easier and stress-free. The location of the hotel was great for us. The metro station is just across from the hotel, making it really easy to hop on and explore all the sights of Paris. The area surrounding the hotel is also full of vibrant cafes, bars, and restaurants. The hotel itself, it has such a charming boutique vibe. The rooms were cozy, stylish, always very clean and had all the little details that made us feel comfortable and relaxed. After a long day of exploring, the little hotel bar was the perfect spot to unwind and chat about our day. The bar staff also know how to make some fantastic cocktails. I'm pretty sure I worked my way through the full menu by the time we left. We had been planning this trip for a while, so we would like to say a BIG thank you to all the staff for and their help and for making us feel welcome. We hope to visit again.

Just perfect to stay for holodays or also a business trip. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms modern and comfortable. It is perfect for a shorter stay and for anyone who has no problems with stairs since there is no lift. The view to the Place de la Bastille ist just marvelous and the location perfect to get to the center.
